Perfect for our stay

This was a great spot and Linda was very helpful and sweet, she even left some goodies for us during our stay. The house accommodates plenty of people and had a great backyard. Although it’s a bit dated, it’s comfortable and a overall great spot

Great Stay

Linda’s home was clean and welcoming. The location was perfect and the yard was beautiful. There were random loud noises that occurred throughout the weekend, we thought from the nearby train. Not sure if this happens regularly. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper, everything else was great. Linda is super sweet and greeted us to show us around her home.

Such a pleasant stay!!!

This beautiful house, set in the most lovely yard, was simply perfect for us. The house was very clean, beds were comfy, kitchen very well-supplied with everything anyone could need, and the wine and banana bread Linda left for us was more than we could have asked for! This was more house than the three of us really needed....However, we would stay there again any time!

This house was so clean and well appointed. We were able to find everything we needed to have a small family feast and the downstairs bedroom and bath were perfect for the grandparents who wanted to avoid the stairs. perfect in every way

It's a beautiful house, with an impeccably clean, museum-like charm, well suited for group meals around the ample dining room table and the multiple, round backyard tables. The large back yard is beautifully landscaped and offers both group patio seating and private, secluded areas. Linda, the owner, clearly takes pride in her property and made every effort to make us comfortable during our stay

Nike track meet at Hayward Field

We visited Eugene to attend a Nike track meet at Hayward Field. It worked out perfectly for the group of 8 of us. The house was immaculate with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The porch and yard are beautiful. Linda was very responsive and helpful. She even left us some delicious lemon blueberry bread to sample! I highly recommend this property.

After a long career as a whole lumber trader I am now a real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty. In 2014 my business partner in Manners Simply (yes, we teach etiquette and specialize in dining skills) and I co-authored an award-winning book "Which Fork Do I Use? Confident and Comfortable Dining." We have been teaching for over 20 years and when we started the book we didn't know it would take us 4-1/2 years to complete. For hobbies, I love to entertain and have parties, to grow pretty flowers, decorate cakes, make sourdough bread, bake cookies and play golf!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This house has seen guests from all over the world. We have had guests from as far away as Australia and England. And that was before we entertained the idea of renting it out! I've loved it from the first day I saw it and hope you will too. It's a perfect setting for families and friends to gather, attend Duck football games, UO graduation or attend world class track and field events.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

When we first moved in my daughter was 8 years old. She wanted a laundry shoot. My husband wanted a front porch and I wanted lots of windows. And it had to be large enough to have my mother move in with us as she aged. There is something wonderful about all the built-in cabinets and storage. The crown moldings and faux painted walls by artist Debra Wilde add warmth and interest to this 1940s house. The backyard is a wonderful place to have a bbq in the peace and quiet of the neighborhood and private yard. Just a piece of local information...River Road at the end of the street is the old Hwy 99 from Portland to California.
