SUMMARY
At only 17 km distance from Heraklion ... an ideal place for relaxing holidays where at very short distances, the visitor can find great tourist fun.
APARTMENT MARIRENA 1
Renovated Apartment with dining area with sofa/ area, kitchen , one bedroom , bathroom, with a balcony overlooking the beach, the blue of the Cretan Sea and the village.
The apartment is tastefully decorated with all the modern comforts such as satelite TV, Wi-Fi internet, air conditioning, stereo, table-top electric barbecue as well as a modern fully equipped kitchen with all the necessities have turned this small apartment into a small seaside functional house.
The terrace with its furnishings is an ideal location to have a glass of wine and enjoy the view of the sea and the village.
This apartment with its location is the perfect base to introduce to the Cretan hospitality and enjoy with serenity ,your family holiday and a great base to explore Crete.
In front of us, and only about 40m is the sandy beach with crystal water. It is ideal for children as it is shallow. It is organized with umbrellas, sun beds and showers and a snack bar. There is a diving center and a small boat for short cruises in Agia Pelagia, and other quiet beaches to enjoy sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling.
LOCATION
MADE, GAZIOU, IRAKLION-CRETE
MADE is a small seaside village(settlement) by the sea, builted on a physical amphitheatre hill. Is the ideal place for quiet and relaxed vacation, with a public beach with sunbeds and umbrellas (3 ⏠per person cost ).The vacationsts can also enjoy, swimming, fishing, scuba diving,organised mini cruises and even hiking. In a very small distance the vacationist can find places to have fun in clubs, restaurants, bars etc. In the opposite of the village MADE is the âCHC ATHINA PALACE RESORT & SPAââ 5 star hotel where you can enjoy your drink or anything you like with the respective cost.
It is set in a really peaceful scenery with excellent sea view, but in a 5 min walking distance from the house there is a mini market and a rent a car facility. Only four minutes away by the car is the village LIGARIA where there are super markets, excellent taverns with traditional Cretan cuisine, diving center and an organized big beach with umbrellas, sun beds and showers.In addition, in 10 km distance, you can visit the tourist village of Aghia Pelagia, where you can find big super markets, shops, pharmacy, medical center, night life with bars and clubs.

-Travel Guide and map with my personal suggestions for remarkable and famous beaches, museums, archaeological sites, gorges, sightseeing that is worth seeing on our wonderful island that we love it for the sun, the sea, the natural environment.
And of course I could not forget my suggestions for the special Cretan diet for which I have suggestions that are amazing and unique with !!!!
-Îvailable in the apartment the program with public transport times and the cost to go not only to Heraklion ... but also to other travel destinations in Crete.
I will also have current proposals for local cultural events in Heraklion.
But we will always be discreet and we will never violate your privacy!

My love for the Cretan and Mediterranean diet and my hobby to cook gave me the idea to share the knowledge and enjoyment with my guests.

It is very difficult to talk about yourself ... but I will try it ...
I have studied economics and after 34 years working in this area (banker) I retired.
I offer these hospitality rooms in order to give the chance to people with busy lifes,from big cities, or to nature lovers, to spend their summer holidays, by enjoying the tranquility of our small village, the brilliant sun, the sound of the wave, our organized beach which is only a minute away (about 40 meters long ) of the apartments, while at the same time it is only 10 minutes by car from the lively city life!
One of my hobbies that I have developed with love is cooking and especially Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine !!!
I am a travel lover as I like to know other people cultures, and local tastes.
As a host I like and I enjoy to host people. My goal is to make my guests feel comfortable and safe as if they are at their own home, and ... to enjoy ... to experience life in Crete essentially!!!
As a conclusion, and given the fact that at this stage of my life, I have enough personal time, i'm willing to provide my guests (upon request) with all the useful information and tips about what is Cretan / Mediterranean diet. It will be a great pleasure and satisfaction for me to feel that my visitors (if they wish) going back home, left having met not only the Cretan tastes ... but also learned how to create them selves some delightful recipes from Cretan / Mediterranean cuisine.
I have studied economics and after 34 years working in this area (banker) I retired.
