Du kommer in i stugan i ett generöst vardags- / matrum med tillgÄng till ett kök och tvÀttstuga pÄ baksidan, dÀrifrÄn Àr en trappa ner. Vardagsrummet har en vedspis i den ursprungliga spisen. FrÄn köket leder bakdörren till en stenlagd innergÄrd med bord, stolar och en grill. Köket Àr utrustat med ugn, spis, kylskÄp med isbox, diskmaskin, mikrovÄgsugn och tvÀttmaskin.
PÄ första vÄningen finns ett mysigt vardagsrum med TV och amazon eldpinne och rymligt badrum med separat dusch, badkar, wc och handfat.
Trappor leder upp till de tvÄ sovrummen. Det bakre sovrummet har en king size zip och lÀnk sÀng som kan delas upp i tvÄ singlar. Det frÀmre rummet har en dubbelsÀng och inbyggda skÄp med utsikt frÄn veluxfönstret mot parken.

Charming little cottage with everything we needed for our weekend away. Ideal location for Chatsworth and exploring local area. Cottage was lovely and cool in the heat but imagine it would be equally very cosy in the winter with the log burner. Thank you for a wonderful, comfortable stay!

We had a lovely stay in Brook Cottage. It was clean and comfortable, in a great location, with shops, pubs and local walks all accessible without using the car. Jane was really prompt at responding to messages, which made everything ryn really smoothly.

Quirky little cottage

This charming cottage is ideally placed in the Nether End of Baslow as it is close to Chatsworth and many wonderful walks. The space is fine for just two people. More than that may cause problems on the staircases and for TV viewing in the living room. The cottage is well equipped with all the basic requirements. Information about the cottage, walks and other attractions is very helpful. Beds are comfortable but bedding is ill fitting and a bit grubby so ready for renewal. In fact the whole place is crying out for a face lift and a deep clean. The Cafe on the Green is permanently closed but the little sweet shop near the car park sells savoury pastries, cakes and ice cream. The Wheatsheaf and Devonshire Hotels are just around the corner if you want to dine out. All in all I enjoyed staying in this lovely quirky cottage but it could be greatly improved with refurbishment and deep cleaning.

Wonderful stay in Baslow.

The cottage is on 3 floors and is described perfectly online. It is a well equipped, comfortable, beautiful cottage. It's location is ideal for many walks.

November in Baslow

It is a sweet home, well furnished with surprising space on three floors. The stairs are very steep but not a problem for us. Great location only a few paces from the Chatsworth estate and from the centre of Baslow, the nicest village in the Derbyshire Dales.

Clean, Comfortable and Cosy

We were only staying for three nights which was a shame as could have done with longer.. We found the cottage easily, it was warm, clean and comfortable. Great walking from the front door. We hopped on a bus to Bakewell and had a wander around the town and hopped on a bus back. Would thoroughly recommend

Bonfire bonanza

Booked to stay to attend Chatsworth bonfires. Shane we discover kissing gate a bit late having pain for parking at Chatsworth. Well appointed cottage and perfect for walks from the door step. Cafe on the corner for breakfast and plenty of pubs for meals. Perfect !

Gorgeous cottage

This is a beautiful stone cottage set in a quaint village with direct walking access to the chatsworth estate through a kissing gate. It is set over 3 levels. On the ground Dining and kitchen, Second floor sitting room and enormous bathroom with bath and shower, 3rd floor 2 double bedrooms. One caution is the spiral stairs which were quite steep. Everything has been done to a very high standard. The roof support is a tree trunk. Quite impressive. Ate breakfast at Wheatsheaf over the road. Parked for free opposite wi. Grocery at coop in Calver. It also has a lovely coffee shop Great stay

Not great

We booked this place based on the really good reviews. We thought it would be small, but it really is small. My husband could touch both walls with his arms outstretched. Downstairs described as living area with 2 wooden spindle chairs with cushion and dining bench. Kitchen with not much storage and very smallfridge. Courtyard uneven paved slabs and overlooked from every angle. Stairs are horrendously steep and certainly not pet or child friendly. Sitting room of tiny proportion s on this floor. Old, tired, small dofa, another spindle chair and a leather chair. More steep stairs to bedrooms. These looked nice unlike the rest of the furnishings, but very soft bed duvet cover was like sleeping in a crisp packet (not protected either). House was tired, not the cleanest. Neighbour has dogs that howl and they like playing their music at full volume. We stayed 19 hours and left as not what we wanted to stay in. Contacted host who was really unhelpful and refused a partial refund and has ignored me ever since! Avoid!!

Superb location

Stunning cottage in the best location. We didn’t have a car so location was key. Within a couple of minutes walk you are in the Chatsworth Estate. The local bus stop is just across the road which is great for using the hop on hop off open top bus in the summer. Also a great Italian restaurant in Baslow. I highly recommend this cottage & will definitely rebook.

Cottage on edge on entrance to Chatsworth Estate

Great location for access to Chatsworth and Peak District . Clean and comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Absolutely loved being able to walk to Chatsworth House from the cottage and to walk in the Parkland at any time. Also proximity to choice of places to eat. in the village

We live in the village and love it so much here we purchased this additional property on retirement to let out to visitors. We love walking and can often be found with our Labrador Inka either up on the moors or in Chatsworth Park. With a wealth of knowledge about local facilities we can always help you locate what you need.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This property has so many charming features, yet we’ve modernised it sympathetically so it should feel home from home. Although only round the corner from one of the two village pubs it is away from their entrance and car park so you are not disturbed.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The location is so picturesque and yet so convenient for ambling along to any Chatsworth event, or just around the park. There’s also a rear yard with table, chairs and BBQ for those lazy summer evenings, with a family living/ eating area internally as well as a sitting room.
