Hilltop Cottage ligger intill huset på kullen och är perfekt för par som letar efter en lugn plats att koppla av i Eagle Harbor, Michigan. Hilltop Cottage är en av väldigt få hyttuthyrningar året runt i området. Stugan, högt uppe på fyrkanten med utsikt över hamnen, ligger bara en kort promenad till stranden. Gå upp på verandan och njut av den vackra utsikten över de omgivande bergen och det glittrande hamnvattnet.

HILLTOP COTTAGE
En liten, privat stuga inklusive ett sovrum med en dubbelsäng, ett mysigt vardagsrum, fullt utrustat kök, badrum och pittoreska veranda. Denna stuga är idealisk för ett par, men ett barn kan rymmas på den utdragbara futon soffan i vardagsrummet, om det behövs. Inga husdjur snälla.

Utförsskidor - Mt Bohemia, en kort 15 minuters bilresa, har de längsta körningarna med det högsta vertikala och djupaste pulvret i Mellanvästern. Fantastisk skidåkning!
Längdskidåkning - åka skidor precis utanför dörren till spårsystemet som ligger i bakskogen i Eagle Harbor.
Snöskoter - Keweenaw-halvön är känd för sina omfattande och väl underhållna snöskoterleder.

Fiske - Oavsett om du är en sjö eller en strömfiskare är dina alternativ några minuter från stugan. Det finns många fiskemöjligheter i området.

Mountainbiking - Copper Harbor Trails-systemet erbjuder över 32 miles av episka singletrack-ridningsalternativ inklusive sluttningsspår, flödesspår, traditionella längdskidspår och tekniskt presenterade spår. Fantastisk cykling!

Fall Colors - USA Today har rapporterat att Keweenaw är en av de bästa platserna i USA för att se höstfärger. Höstfärger är bäst i slutet av september till mitten av oktober. Sitt på verandan och njut av färgerna.

Historiska äventyr
Keweenaw National Historic Park - Koppar har format folket och platserna på Keweenaw-halvön i tusentals år. På 1840-talet ägde den första mineralbrytningen i USA här. Även om gruvorna sedan har stängts, lever historien vidare. Besök hemsida:

Beautiful and relaxing get away

We appreciated how nice, clean and comfortable everything was. We fully enjoyed touring the harbor, the Quincy copper mine, and hiking several local trails. We were fortunate to hit the peak of the fall colors, and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous!

Good central location

This property was located within easy drive of points of interest in Calumet and Hancock, plus Copper harbor and points east of CH including the Keweenaw Rocket Range. The small kitchen was convenient for easy meal preparation. At one point, I lost the key for a period before I located it again. The owner was able to provide me with the spare while I located the lost key. The owner was very responsive and saved the day!

Cute Cottage

Very cute cottage, just right for the two of us to relax, and enjoy the area. It did have a musty smell, which wasn’t too bad after we had bought air freshener spray and some scented candles. Otherwise great area, would like to come back and explore the area more.

Thank you Rodney for the prompt responses to my questions. We enjoyed exploring the area.

The place was clean & cozy. Unfortunately, the area by the porch stairs are an accident waiting to happen. Maybe you should consider moving stairs to the side towards the parking. Fix broken windows and window shade for the door. Last thing, the frying pans need to be replaced. We brought one at the dollar store to use. Sorry for the negative response. I hope it improves your rental. Sept 22/25 2024

Perfect little cabin

This cabin is in a great location, right next to The Great Gitchee Gumee and between Copper Harbor and Calumet. A perfect location. Eagle Harbor is a quaint little town with opportunities to fish, be at the beach, walk, shop, and eat. Rodney was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. There IS internet access. We were able to connect and stream on our devices.

Perfect!

Great location! The lighthouse and beach are within walking distance. The beach has fire pits if you want to have a fire. The house was perfect for two people! We would definitely come back!

Week of remote work and play

We rented this place for a week. Our plan was to work in the morning and explore in the afternoon WiFi is so so in Eagle Harbor but communication with the owner ahead of time helped get us set up. Eagle harbor was quiet and beautiful! We did holes, biking and kayaking in the Keweenaw Peninsula. House was perfect for our needs! Owner was great

A Trip in Time with Modern Amenities

A very Cozy and Comfortable Cabin in Eagle Harbor You can hear the waves from Lake Superior from the cabin You have to be ready to go without TV and that is a plus for us. A wonderful place to Rest and Relax from the world. The Furniture was very Comfortable, The kitchen was well equipped, The Bathroom was modern with a Vintage look. A wonderful trip back to Grandpa's Cabin that Grandma takes care of 5 STARS all the way

Cozy and great location

The cottage is cozy and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved sipping our morning coffee on the front porch overlooking Eagle Harbor. Just a few steps away is the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse, which is a great place to see the stars. We even caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights! The 6.3 mile hike up Mt Baldy is close by and worth the effort! We hope to come back!

Another peaceful visit!

This is our third visit to this lovely cottage. This charming spot is completely peaceful and restful with everything needed to relax and enjoy the Keweenaw peninsula. Eagle Harbor is close to Copper Harbor but not as busy. Enjoy walks to the Eagle Harbor lighthouse and museum only a stones throw away. We also love to walk down and enjoy the incredible sunsets over Lake Superior.

Quaint cottage. lovely town

The cottage was clean and perfect for our vacation. The town is lovely and the people seemed really generous and friendly. Thank you for sharing your space with us. Owner was accommodating at a last minute booking and change that we needed to ask for. This area of Michigan is worth the drive. Gorgeous and just what you need to get away.

Cute little cottage

It was really cute and comes with anything you may need besides food and a washer! It’s so nice cozy and relaxing. The view is awesome. Short distance to the light house and we got to see the nothern lights. Great stay. However the bridge is under a lot of construction so it was bad timing for us and the places we wanted to go to took way longer which sucked. Great communication with Rodney and over all a great place to stay.

The Westlake family has been in Eagle Harbor for 5 generations. My great-grandfather, J.C. Westlake, purchased our family home in 1946. My father, Tom, attended the one-room schoolhouse in Eagle Harbor and our family has lived in Eagle Harbor and managed rentals every year since. I, Rodney, grew up spending entire summers in Eagle Harbor - known to us kids in town as paradise. It has not been difficult to instill that same love for Eagle Harbor and the entire Keweenaw Peninsula in our children, Lucy and Jack (J.C.).

Varför värden valde detta boende

There is no better location in town than the lighthouse ridge overlooking the harbor. From our cottage you can take a two minute walk to the lighthouse overlook on Lake Superior and a one minute walk down the sand dune to the Eagle Harbor sand beach (best on the north shore). Everything in town is walking distance from our location and you never have to share a busy road or highway.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The best part about the Hilltop cottage is the view from the front porch/main room. Facing south and overlooking the Harbor, the views are incredible all year long, but especially in the Fall and early Spring. The cottage is simple and efficient with a queen sleigh bed and a work desk in the bedroom, and a recently remodeled kitchen and bathroom, all utilizing the space perfectly.
