4 * Stuga med självhushåll på en traditionell skotsk bergsgård

West Ferlochan Cottage erbjuder 4 * självhushåll boende i Benderloch, Oban. Vår stuga ligger i ett lugnt läge vid bredden av Loch Creran. Vi är den perfekta platsen för att utforska denna vackra del av Argyll.

Loungen har plats för upp till sex personer med öppen spis och 40 ”TV med satellit. Det fullt utrustade köket / matstället har en mängd sökande som elektrisk ugn och spis, mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin, kyl och frys och högtalare för en iPod / iPhone.

Nedervåningen finns ett litet tvåbäddsrum, badrum med dusch och toalett och ett tvättmaskin med bra storlek utrustad med tvättmaskin och torktumlare.

På första våningen finns det två stora sovrum. Varje sovrum har en 6ft säng som kan göras till tvillingar vid behov. Det stora sovrummet har en väggmonterad Freeview-TV. Badrummet på första våningen har badkar, dusch och toalett.

Stugan är en del av en 220 hektar stor gård. Det finns många promenader över gården och upp till Sguir Mhor som erbjuder spektakulär och panoramautsikt över Loch Creran till bergen bortom. Gästerna använder endast två små gräsmattaområden.

Öppet året runt och Short Breaks välkomna.

Oban, som är "Gateway to the Scottish Isles", är mindre än 10 mil; Fort William, som anses vara "Storbritanniens utomhushuvudstad", ligger mindre än en timmes bilresa bort.

Charming cottage with coos!

The location was perfect, in a peaceful and relaxing setting. Loch Creran is right across the road and behind the cottage are gorgeous green farmlands, hikeable hills, and, of course, the adorable hairy coos. Inside the cottage, the hosts have done a great job of maintaining the farmhouse feel while still having modern amenities. The cottage was well appointed and had everything we needed…we appreciated the milk and shortbreads to welcome us.Amanda, the host, was very helpful and responsive. And of course, the stars of the whole show were the hairy coos and Galloway cattle. Amanda arranged for Willie to introduce us and talk about the farm and it was a highlight of our trip. After a day of touring, a quiet evening watching the sunset over the Loch and the cows doing their thing were so relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely cottage with us!

Cozy coastal farmhouse

We had a super cozy stay. There was lots to do nearby—castles, island tours, farm tour, walking up the mountain. The house had everything we needed, kitchen all kitted out, washer/dryer, tvs, comfortable beds. The host was very helpful.

Wonderful base camp to explore the beauty of the area

The cottage was a wonderful and relaxing spot for our family as we explored the region. We are animal and nature lovers so were thrilled at the proximity to the lochs, the isles, Glencoe, the trail behind the cottage to walk up the hill and, of course, the spectacular cows at the farm. The kitchen is large and well stocked for cooking. The house was cozy and quiet. We hated to leave.

A peaceful retreat

This cottage is in a quiet peaceful location that is close enough to Oban to be convenient, but far enough to be away from the hustle of the town center. Communication with Amanda was easy, and she even contacted us after checkin, to be sure everything was ok. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay near Oban.

Wonderful Escape

The home is very clean and well furnished. We enjoyed the physical structure, but also the ideal location that is close to Oban and other areas that allowed us to relax most of the time. The farm setting was peaceful and refreshing from city life. The hosts were were very friendly and welcoming. I would enjoy staying at this property again in the future.

Comfortable country cottage

Enjoyable quiet country setting. A farmhouse as a farmhouse should be. Convenient to Oban and the Isle of Mull which we found to be very well worth seeing. The farm property was beautiful and the farm manager provided a tour of the farm and a ride to the top of the mountain on the property. The views were gorgeous. We loved the cottage and the location and would definitely go back if we ever had a chance to return to that area of Scotland.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had made a good choice. It was really clean, cosy, spacious. Amanda had thought of absolutely everything. We loved the situation, so very near to the loch, and very peaceful, only the cows calling when the farmer arrived to feed them. Very Highly recommended. Hope to return one day.

Quaint cottage on a lovely farm!

Nice base for exploration

We stayed here for a few days while checking out the Oban area. The home was secluded and quiet. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed seeing the cows and talking to the farmer.

A wunderful stay in a perfect equipped cottage

We had a wonderful stay in this perfectly equipped holiday home. We enjoyed our stay and as the property is ideally located we were able to explore the Oban area. All of the appliances in the house are described in great detail, leaving no questions unanswered, and the tips Amanda gave were more than welcome.

Excellent Host

Beautiful cottage with a beautiful view. Excellently host and friendly. Allowed us to pet the animals and walk around the farm. Clean and spacious rooms. The kids enjoyed the walk and close by shops about. Great location and not far from fort William and other beautiful sights. There is a beautiful beach 5min drive. Thank you, it was a pleasure staying there.

Beautiful place in the wilderness

This is one of the best accommodations we've ever been to. The house is located on a farm, you can see all the animals, you can walk around and explore the beautiful surroundings like the mountain stream up the hill and the beautiful Scottish cows. It's perfect for trips to Glencoe, Glenfinnan, Oban, famous Eilan Donnan Castle, Fort William, Fort Augustus (Loch Ness) and even Isle of Skye if you leave early. The house is very nice, very clean and there's everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed. We'll be back one day.

Best stay on our trip

Oh My Goodness! Such a beautiful spot and lovely accommodations. Amanda's extra touches with a well appointed kitchen made us so comfortable. The Hairy Cows are adorable and the recommended hike behing the property was fantastic. Amanda texted us to be aware of some terrible weather that was to arrive during our stay, she is a kind and caring host. Better than the photos!

Such a lovely cottage which had everything we needed. Our two toddlers loved the spacious home, the bedrooms are very generously sized too. Kitchen had lots of essentials which helped. Amanda went over and above for us, and helped us when we left two items in the house at the end of our stay. Cant recommend it more :) so glad we stayed here rather than in Oban itself, the private beach 5 mins away was the perfect afternoon out too.

A Home Away From Home

Perfect in all ways & the location can not be beat. The home was amazing as was the farm. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. From a fully stocked kitchen to luxury items. The house was clean and very comfortable. It was awesome to meet Willie, Brad, the Highlanders & Galloways. The baby highlanders were a bonus. We loved the tour of the farm Willie took us on. Also the walk up to the top of the Hill was great with awesome 360 views. Amanda is a most welcome hostess. She is quick to respond and very helpful. We loved this farmhouse so much we will be coming back. Thank you Amanda, Willlie, Brad & the Coos.

Oban farm cottage

This was a nice, clean, somewhat rustic country cottage on active farm with highland cattle. The owners are very nice and Amanda very responsive and helpful with dinner and hiking/walking recommendations. The only concern I would have is that the house smells a little musty (especially so the first floor back bedroom) which might be a bit off-putting to some people. Otherwise 5 starts all around. Loved interacting with the highland cows and beautiful hike up the hill for great views behind the property.
