Charmig Dorset stuga.

Berry Farm Cottage ligger i ett privat område på grunden till Berry Farm, som går tillbaka till 1500-talet. Det är beläget i den charmiga bevarandebyen Walditch som anges i Domesday Book of 1086. När du anländer kommer du absolut att förstå varför hela detta område utses till ett område med enastående naturskönhet.

Den populära köpstaden Bridport, med sin fantastiska konstscen, oberoende butiker, "vintage quarter" och många barer och restauranger, ligger bara en mil bort. Och när det gäller stranden? World Heritage Jurassic Coast och berömda West Bay (inställning för ITV-dramaet "Broadchurch") ligger också bara 2 km bort.

Stugan själv ligger bort från huvudhuset på sin egen privata grund, med 1 200 kvm (0. 3 tunnland) fruktträdgård, inklusive 18 äpple-, körsbärs- och plommonträd, samt en uteplats med bord och stolar.

För att förbättra landskapskänslan är angränsande till denna stora trädgård ett fält som, förutom (normalt) januari - mars, är hem för en flock får - med nyfödda lamm som anländer på våren! (Observera att eftersom detta inte är vår får får, kan vi inte absolut garantera de perioder de kommer att vara i fältet). Var inte förvånad om du ser den udda rådjur i trädgården.

Stugan har nyligen renoverats internt med stor uppmärksamhet på detaljer för att ge en härlig, mysig lantstuga med många snygga och knäppa inslag.

Det finns 2 sovrum (1 dubbel på första våningen och 1 tvilling på bottenvåningen) och alla har eget badrum med duschkabin. Handdukar tillhandahålls och ett byte av linne tillhandahålls varje vecka.

Det öppna vardagsrummet har två dubbla soffor, en platt-TV med Freeview, DVD-spelare, med hyllor fulla av böcker, DVD och spel. Dubbla aspektfönster ger en ljus och luftig känsla året runt. Spisen är elektrisk och erbjuder en realistisk snygg eld för de kallare vinternätter.

Matsalen är i en "bistro" -stil, och med val av huvudbelysning, bildbelysning och omgivande LED-remsa kan detta tändas annorlunda för varje måltid!

Det angränsande köket är fullt utrustat med ugn och diskmaskin, med mikrovågsugn, vattenkokare och ett komplett komplement av nödvändigt porslin, bestick och glas.

I tvättstugan på bottenvåningen finns tvättmaskin och frys.

Det finns privat parkering för två fordon bredvid stugan.

Fantastic garden!

A great, well maintained cottage but the real highlight was the massive, private garden. Perfect for a picnic and prosecco in the evening. Would definitely stay here again, the welcome book was also incredibly comprehensive - much to do in the surrounding area!

Dorset at its best

We've just had the perfect week away! The cottage and large garden are beautiful. The owners have thought of everything that guests may need. It's family friendly and comfortable in a lovely location but easy walking distance into Bridport and a short car journey to the beaches. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Four Meet up in Dorset

We were two couples wanting a little break away together and needed a place to stay. Berry Farm turned out to be perfect. It is set in the most beautiful grounds and if you get lucky with sunny weather during your stay you'll be able to take advantage of an early morning cuppa in the orchard. The hosts seemed to have thought of pretty much everything, including mirrors by the window and plug sockets for those of us needing to do hair and make-up. It is in a great location for taking advantage of the surrounding area. If you don't want to go out in the car, I recommend taking the river walk from Bridport to West Bay. I have Coeliac disease and I can honestly say that all the places we ate in, catered very well for a gluten free diet. I particularly liked 'Rise' in West Bay that actually boasted on their menu the use of dedicated fryer's for gluten free (although be aware that service can be quite slow). This is a fabulous little cottage and I can totally recommend.

Charming cottage near Bridport and Jurassic Coast

Immaculate and very stylish. Four adults enjoyed a great weekend due to the very thoughtful use of space. Too wet to take advantage of number of walks direct from door, a one hour touring radius covered to the East Lulworth Cove, Portland Bill, to the West Lyme Regis and Sidmouth to the North Sherborne. Closer to home Abbotsbury, Chesil Beach, West Bay and Bridport itself with interesting independent shops, lively pubs and very good range of restaurants. Our hosts were on hand but discreet. What’s not to like.

Fantastic place to stay!

Berry Farm Cottage is a real home from home! Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished with an eclectic and stylish mix of furniture, furnishings and ornaments, it has everything you need, well equipped, well thought out and with a lovely surprise of a welcome hamper on arrival. Great location close to the shops in Bridport and close to the sea and major sites in this lovely part of Dorset. Mike and Neil have an eye for detail and one or both of them have that creative streak that makes this holiday cottage a big step up from the norm? We had a wonderful week. This part of Dorset is perfect. As was the cottage. Set in a small village with easy access to Bridport and all of the lovely costal towns and beaches. The cottage has everything you could ever want. We will return.

Perfect getaway!

Neil & Mike are most gracious and generous, for sharing their scenic cottage in West Dorset. Would highly recommend for a small family or couple (with perhaps another couple as guests), seeking to recharge in peaceful setting. Ideally located near Dorset's Jurassic coast; convenient to villages, restaurants, scenic pastures & farmland, and hiking trails. Berry farm cottage

Beautifully maintained home from home, lovely garden looking onto a Farmers field that had sheep and newly born lambs, and a delightful morning chorus of birds to wake up to. Very close to Bridport and plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Neil was a charming host loved the many thoughtful little touches around the interior of the cottage. information booklets about Dorset and local walks, flowers , welcome basket , fresh milk in the fridge and little Easter chicks to find in every nook and cranny . Thank you Neil , we really enjoyed our stay . And hope we will return some time soon.

Beautiful peaceful cottage

The communication with the owner was excellent and the quality cleanliness, character and comfort of the cottage exceeded expectations. The area is great for walking and Bridport is very interesting ( as are number of nearby places) with lots of independent shops and is a very pleasant 15 - 20 minute walk. The location of the cottage is very nice and quiet with its own lovely paddock sized garden. We slept very well and woke to sound of birds singing in the morning.

Beautiful well appointed cottage

From start to finish the process and communication was very easy. The cottage is beautiful, we had a personal welcome message from the owners on arrival. The cottage is set in a quiet village just outside Bridport, with easy access to the Jurassic coastline views and places. Would highly recommend. We stayed there to celebrate our wedding Anniversary

Lovely Dorset cottage in peaceful rural location near Bridport

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Berry Farm Cottage: a characterful, very well laid-out and decorated, comfortable home in a beautiful, peaceful apple orchard setting. The location in a pretty Dorset village just outside Bridport was perfect for us in exploring the stunning Jurassic Coast and inland the rolling hills of West Dorset. Beautiful walks from the door. Neil and Mike could not have been more kind and helpful in their welcome and making our stay in enjoyable. Thank you.

Our 2nd stay at this beautiful cottage

We liked Berry Farm Cottage so much last year that we came back this year! Extremely comfortable cottage with lots of really thoughtful touches. Lovely welcome from Neil and Mike and so much to see and do within a short distance. We will certainly be back again and really can't recommend it highly enough!

A beautiful cottage

This is a beautiful cottage set in a lovely hamlet just outside Bridport. It has some lovely walks nearby and we used it as a base to cover a large area of Dorset from Lyme Regis in the West through to Lulwoth Cove in the East. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and very well equipped with everything that you would expect and an excellent “black book” with all the information that you need with great recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to eat both locally and those slightly further out. It was ideal accommodation for us as two couples but would be equally good for a family with two children. Overall we would thoroughly recommend staying here. Neil and Mike, the owners, live across the drive and were there if we needed any advice or information. Their welcome basket of wine and nibbles were very gratefully received and if you are looking for a tranquil stay with easy access to some wonderful places then this cottage is absolutely ideal!
