This was our second holiday here and once a lovely relaxing and peaceful time in a beautiful location. The heated pool is wonderful and it's great to have aircon in the property for those extra hot days. Simon and his team always respond quickly to any requests. Highly recommended!

Lovely property and development

Thank you for a lovely stay in the house. The kids enjoyed the sports facilities and the development is peaceful and secure. Spacious garden and house, even for 5 of us and the house could have still been comfortable with more people. Great location, close to shops etc., but still a quiet location surrounded by sunflowers.

Lovely holiday

We had a lovely couple of weeks staying here. The house is amazing. The pictures don’t do it full justice. It was much more spacious than we expected. Well equipped and great little pool. We made good use of the bbq and outdoor table. Very handy for the supermarket. Would recommend a stay in this house

A wonderful place for a holiday!

We loved Villa Aulne! It was in a fabulous and secure gated location with a small number of similar properties, but with a large private garden parking, and very secluded. The back garden with pool was private, peaceful, and with a lovely open view over fields. Spectacular sunsets. The property was modern, spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. Aircon was a real bonus, as were comfy sofas! Pool was amazing, clean, warm, a delight. Simon and Helene were really helpful on a couple of occasions when we needed something. A perfect place for a peaceful relaxing holiday in the Dordogne. Highly recommended!

So relaxing..

Our stay at Villa Aulne was so relaxing and it had all the facilities for a most enjoyable stay. Situated just out of Chalais, it is set in a small hamlet of holiday villas that are spaced apart to give privacy and seclusion. On-site facilities include tennis courts, play park and bikes to explore the countryside. We used the bikes to cycle to Chalais for the morning boulangerie trip. Great location to explore Charente and beyond and on your return, there is a nice pool waiting to relax in. We experienced a heatwave during our stay with temperatures hitting 40C so very, very glad of the aircon and pool. Thanks to Simone and Helene who were very attentive and were able to accommodate our late arrival due to last minute travel changes. We enjoyed our stay at Villa Aulne and easily give it 5* without hesitation.

Lovely Villa

We enjoyed a lovely couple of weeks in Chalais, and would highly recommend the villa and area to those who want a balance of relaxation, with some good fun activities close to hand. Simon and Sinead were responsive and attentive, communication was brilliant and the property itself was one of the best we have stayed in. Good facilities, nice and airy and the facilities of the domaine du grand tourtre were nice to have close to hand. Would definitely stay again!

Vacances au calme

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette villa très calme, le domaine est fermé donc tres securisé. La maison est bien équipée et la terrasse est tout le temps a l’ombre ce qui est un vrai plus. La piscine chauffé est un tres bon point, de plus la piscine est securisé ce qui etait tres bien pour nos bébés.

superbe maison avec une belle piece de vie , un coin nuit avec 3 salles de bains ...un exterieur trés bien avec une piscine chauffée...tout cela dans un cadre magnifique ..domaine très bien entretenu...Nous avons passé un bon séjour malgré des voisins(maison des acacias)très bruyants et qui se sont permis de faire des travaux exterieurs avec mini pelle de 8h30 du matin jusqu' a 18h le DIMANCHE.!!!!!!!.

Enjoyable Winter stay

We were very happy. We were very warm with the lovely wood burner as this was a winter holiday . Plenty of space in the house and a pleasant outside space. While we were there we were lucky to see a deer family of three in the farmers field. The kitchen facilities were great everything we needed. We also had constant hot water. I would also like to say the internet was quite fast and we had no problem connecting our devices. All in all a relaxing stay. Thanks

Très chouette endroit pour des vacances au calme. Maison spacieuse et bien équipée conforme à la description. la literie est excellente. Seul hic, l'eau de la piscine non chauffée est très froide à cette saison (septembre) On recommande l'endroit sans hésiter
