Om boendet

Vår gite erbjuder ett avskilt fristad med utsikt över jordbruksmarken och den underbara landsbygden i regionen Seven Valleys men ligger mindre än en timme från Calais. Loungen, matplatsen och köket är smakfullt inredda, välutrustade och har gratis WiFi-anslutning. Ett sovrum har en king size-säng, det andra, 2 singlar, som kan göras till en superkung på begäran. Båda har moderna duschrum med eget badrum. Boendet är allt på en nivå och det är rökfritt. Bildfönster ser ut mot den stora avskilda trädgården som gränsar till floden. Det finns en egen ingång och gott om parkering. Uteplatsen, komplett med grill och uteserveringar, är den perfekta platsen att koppla av och njuta av fågelsången och morgonsolen. Hägrar, ankor, svanar, kotor, moorhönor, ägretthägar, skarvar, storkar, rådjur, vildsvin och betande charolais har alla sett från fönstret lounge / salong.
Gite på 105 är idealiskt beläget för att utforska detta obehagliga hörn i Frankrike. Bara 15 minuter från den pittoreska staden Montreuil-sur-Mer, 25 minuter från den medeltida staden Hesdin och 40 minuter från den eleganta semesterorten Le Touquet. Området är känt för stora sandstränder som ligger bara 25 minuter bort.
Trädbevuxna sluttningar toppas av vidöppna fält och det finns många möjligheter att utforska färgglada lokala marknader, historiska platser och byar som erbjuder en mängd lokala rätter. Pretty St Valery-sur-Somme och naturreservatet Marquenterre ligger 40 minuter bort. Den fantastiska Abbaye de Valloires ligger 10 minuter längs vägen. Det finns en direkt tåglinje till Paris; Lille, Arras och Amiens ligger också inom räckhåll.
Området är mycket populärt bland fiskare (öringsjöar finns i överflöd!) cyklister, golfare (golfbanan Nampont-St Martin ligger 5 minuter bort) och alla de som vill fly och spendera tid på en lugn plats men lätt kan få tillgång till en mångfaldig upplevelse av kultur-, bad- och landsbygdsupplevelser.
Tyvärr, eftersom floden är så nära, kan vi inte ta emot små barn.
Vårt hem ligger intill vår gite, även om det är helt separat, så vi är till hands för att erbjuda all hjälp för att göra din vistelse så speciell som möjligt. Vi ser fram emot att välkomna dig, chez nous!

Semaine parfaite. La maison est très agréable et très bien équipée. L'environnement calme et verdoyant est reposant. Le jardin bien entretenu ainsi que la vue sur les champs et les animaux depuis les grandes baies vitrées sont un vrai régal pour les yeux. Neil et Heidi sont très accueillants, disponiibles et souriants. Une precieuse adresse à conserver.

Great stay at Gite 105

Had a lovely stay at Gite 105, which was very clean and well equipped. A very generous welcome pack of croissants, bread, butter, cheese, pate, wine and fruit was much appreciated. We really enjoyed chilling, watching the ducks, (which are very vocal) moorhens and goose on the river, the cows in the field opposite and the variety of birds including a woodpecker and of course Bramble the cat. There are lots of interesting places to visit within a short distance and plenty of restaurants close by and in Hesdin, Abbeville and St Riquier.

Le repos et le confort tout inclus

Nous recherchions un lieu calme à la nature, loin de l’agitation de la ville. Ce lieu est tout simplement charmant avec un paysage bucolique changeant au gré du vent et des marées. Le confort du logement est très appréciable. Mention spéciale pour la qualité d’accueil de nos hôtes qui a été exceptionnelle et d’une discrétion appréciable. Un lieu à recommander sans hésitation!

Gite at 105

We had a lovely break at Gite at 105. As soon as we walked in we realised it was even better than the photos showed. The view from the very large window was beautiful and made you want to walk straight over to the window and just stare out. The Gite was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The welcome pack was very welcome and beautifully presented, with cheese, pate, grapes, tomatoes, biscuits, wine, etc, etc, all of which was delicious! The Gite is well located for visiting lots of interesting places. Heidi and Neil were perfect hosts, there if needed but leave you alone if not. One day we were all set to go out but our car battery was flat. One ring of the bell and Neil was there with his box of tools and offering all sorts of assistance, and in the pouring rain too. He got our car started and waved us off with a “call me if you breakdown again and I’ll come and tow you back”! We can highly recommend a stay at this Gite. A big thank you to Neil and Heidi.

Gite at 105

105 is beautiful property in a peaceful rural location with lovely views of the river. The gite is extremely well appointed and to a very high standard with lovely towels and linens. Heidi and Neil are very welcoming and informative. We had an enjoyable stay, despite the weather, and enjoyed exploring this area of France.

Our stay in Nampont

Very warm welcome from Heidi and Neil. The accomodation is truly satisfying as it was recently renovated. Kitchen is fully equipped just as it would be if you were at home. British luxury comfort all over the place. High quality decoration and attention to detail. Beautiful view out of the living room. We loved it. However, a few points of criticism to make this a real review: the beds were really hard but there are plenty of duvets to make it softer if you want. Also, the wifi isn't really fast, which makes it sometimes impossible to stream a video of the internet. But for normal use it's fine.

Perfect gite

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gite 105. We were greeted warmly by Heidi and Neil who had waited very patiently for us as we had traffic delays in England and France. The "welcome pack" was much appreciated after our journey. Pate, cheese, bread, grapes and wine and croissants for breakfast. The gite itself was very well equipped for cooking and barbecuing and the lounge area and bedrooms very comfortable. It was a plus to have an ensuite bathroom to each bedroom. It is well placed for walking to at least 2 restaurants. We were a party of 2 couples who had come to France to play golf. Well placed, only 15 minutes drive, to one of the best golf courses in the area La Belle Dune. Thank you Heidi and Neil for a fab stay. We would definitely recommend this gite to friends and fellow golfers.

Nous avons passé un très agréable moment au 105. Heidi et Niel sont des gens très sympathiques et agréables. Le gite est magnifique avec une vue sur la campagne très reposante. Un endroit idéal pour venir recharger ses batteries.

Traumhafte Gite und herzliche Gastgeber

Obwohl es bei unserer Ankunft stark regnete, wurde uns bald warm um' s Herz, da wir durch Heidi und Neil wirklich herzlich empfangen wurden. Vielen Dank noch einmal an dieser Stelle! Die Gite selbst ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. In der Küche findet man alles, was man braucht. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und neuwertig. Das absolute Highlight ist jedoch die Lage direkt am Fluss. Der Ausblick ist einzigartig und die Lage optimal für Ruhesuchende, da die einzigen Geräusche Vogelgezwitscher und das Muhen der Kühe gegenüber sind. Es befinden sich einige gute Restaurants in der Nähe, die in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen sind. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Strände lassen sich in 15-25 Minuten erreichen. Wer ab und an zum Strand möchte, ohne sich dem Trubel eines Küstenortes auszusetzen, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

SUPERBE

Je gite at 105 est un vrai regal -l'equipement est parfait, il me manque rien -l'emplacement est idyllique au bord de l'Authie, au milieu des animaux , de la nature enchanteresse, les canards viennent vous saluer gracieusement et le chat Bramble aussi - mais par-dessus tout, les proprietaires , Heidi and Neil, sont delicieux, prevenants ,delicats et tres soucieux du bien-etre de leurs hotes.Nous reviendrons!!!!! a huge thank to them!and kindly regards ! Luxury Gite

Thank you Heidi and Neil you have an Wonderful gite, we will be back. For anyone looking to stay we highly recommend the gite and Neil and Heidi as hosts. The kitchen cupboards are full with everything you could possibly need. Seating is very comfortable and ideal for watching the cows and calf’s antics in the field over the river as well as all the birds coming and going. The beds where firm and bedding luxurious, just right for a good nights sleep. Showers where wonderful with big shower heads and loads of hot water. The location is peaceful and an ideal retreat away from the tourist areas, we look forward to a return visit.

Fantastic stay in an amazing place!

My family and I absolutely loved this place. What a find, what a welcome and what a lovely vista outside the window. The river gently rolls by, with ducks (lots of ducks) quacking away like they’ve just heard the best joke ever. There are wagtails (yellow and pied), herons, moorhens and, in the evening, bats catching insects over the water. It’s idyllic. Apart from the ducks having a party on the river, it’s almost silent as the road outside is not exactly busy. There are no neighbours apart from the owners and a farm a few hundred yards away. There’s a car parking right outside the door (very handy for loading/unloading) with a private fenced off lawn area, BBQ and patio with furniture (but watch young children as the river is not far away) and it’s level access into the gite, which is also all on one level. If you’re eating outside, the (wild) ducks will occasionally waddle up to see if you fancy sharing any of your meal. We’ve stayed in countless self-catering places over the years, both with extended family and on our own , all over the UK and Europe, from short breaks to two week stays and I can honestly say that Neil and Heidi provided THE BEST EVER ‘welcome pack’! It was way, way above anything we’ve experienced before. They are a delightful couple who will meet you and get you settled in, then leave you to your own devices unless you need something. Excellent hosts and a real mine of information for the local area. Would I stay here again? No - but only because we’re moving into a house about 15 minutes away in Montreuil sur Mer. Would I recommend it to others. Absolutely! It's gorgeous.

Logement et environnement superbes

Une location située dans un cadre magnifique, bordée par une rivière. Au niveau équipements rien de manque, c'est vraiment exceptionnel. Mieux équipé que dans certains hôtels. De plus tout le mobilier est récent et en bon état, et la literie de qualité. Bonne connexion internet malgré qu'on se trouve en campagne. Excellent accueil des propriétaires qui sont anglais, sympathiques et discrets. Bref un super séjour. Je recommande

So peaceful & perfect

We have stayed in many properties throughout France and this is the best, we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Gite at 105. Neil & Heidi greeted us on arrival and showed us around this beautiful property. It was spotless and so well equipped, they seem to have thought of everything from slippers and toiletries to umbrellas and binoculars to view the wildlife. A welcome snack was waiting including pate, cheese, tomatoes, bread, croissants, jam, wine, milk, tea & coffee. Although Neil & Heidi live next door, the gite is completely private and not overlooked at all. They are there if you need them but if not you don't see them. It is a lovely peaceful location but close to many places of interest and the coast with it's beautiful beaches is just 20 minutes away. Calais and the Eurotunnel is around an hour. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay and look forward very much to a return visit.

We retired here five years ago and absolutely love the quality of life. No traffic jams or supermarket queues, unspoilt countryside and a wealth of wildlife, friendly locals and good food, wide open spaces and uncrowded beaches, historic and stylish architecture - what more could anyone wish for! Our home is adjacent to our Gîte, although completely separate, we are on hand to offer any assistance you may need.

As the river is so close, we are unable to accommodate young children, teenagers are welcome.

Please be aware that an abandoned kitten turned up on our doorstep 3 years ago and has taken up residence! She is lively and curious, we will do our best to keep her away from the Gîte but cannot make any promises!
