Storslagen 1700-tals herrgård med typisk Siena-arkitektur. Det ligger intill den historiska byn Basciano. Husets position är idealisk eftersom man når Chianti-regionen på några minuter eller kan njuta av kulturen och bekvämligheten i Siena (6 km bort).

I fastigheten finns tre oberoende semesterenheter (Villa, Gästhus och Restaurerad Barn), nyrenoverade och fullt utrustade. Varje enhet har egen ingång och egen terrass med trädgårdsmöbler. Poolen är reserverad uteslutande för gästerna i de tre enheterna.

Huset är omgivet av en trädgård med ekträd, lindträd, cypresser och en terrass full av många medelhavsplanter, där man kan koppla av och ha en trevlig vistelse utanför. Simbassängen är 6m x12m och ligger på en terrass med pergola. Från terrassen finns en utmärkt utsikt över bergen, inklusive skogar och fält. Gården ligger på en höjd av 350 m över havet. Klimatet är vanligtvis fullt av solsken med en lätt bris.

Denna bottenvåningen har en ingång med tre stora glasdörrar. Det huvudsakliga vardagsrummet har en öppen spis och är indelad i ett vardagsrum och ett stort kök. Matbord, korglampor. Bäddsoffa för en person. Från detta rum finns tillgång till sovrummet som också har en stor glasdörr. Badrummet har en sluten dusch och är täckt med travertinsten. På verandan med pergola finns ett matbord med bänk. Grill tillgänglig. Huset är omgivet av en vacker trädgård och pool (12mx6m). På terrassen vid poolen finns en pergola med bord, stolar och solstolar. Utomhusdusch. Privat parkering inuti fastigheten.

Very nice property in the surroundings of Siena

Very nice property in the neighbourhood of Siena. Location is very quiet with nice views from the terrace. Location is perfect to visit the different regions in Tuscany (Chianti, Montepulciano, Florence, Siena, e.g.). The property itself is well equipped and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the lovely terrace.

Amazing Retreat in the Italian Countryside

There is nothing but positive words we can say for our week long stay in the Restored Barn at Le Murrice property. The owner, Giada, and here mother, Marie, were very welcoming to their property and helpful with suggestions for the surrounding Tuscany/Chianti regions. The restored barn is separated from the main house and is very clean and private. The apartment is spacious, bathroom updated and the kitchen is fully equipped for making meals at home. We enjoyed sitting on the porch for meals, coffee in the morning, drinks in the evening and just enjoying the peaceful views of the Italian countryside. There is a large swimming pool for guest use that was a perfect retreat in the heat of the afternoon. There is a large supermarket within 10 kilometers in Siena. This was a perfect home base that was centrally located for many of the towns and villages that we wanted to visit in the Tuscany and Chianti regions. We would definitely recommend this apartment in the restored barn and it will be on our list to return on our next visit to Italy.

It’s a great location, but felt like we were staying at grandmas house. It needs to be updated. No real sitting area. It could be a very cute place if they updated the inside to be more comfortable.

Toller Aufenthalt in der Nähe von Siena

Das Appartement bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Ausstattung ist gut, die Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Besonders gut ist die Nähe zu Siena. Von hier aus lassen sich sehr gute alle Ausflüge planen.

Beautiful & welcoming

We were late arriving as the traffic was bad but we had a lovely warm and friendly welcome. The location was great with access to Sienna & historical sites easy. The kitchen was well equipt & we loved the terrace - especially in the morning and evening. The pool was great. We were lucky the other families were lovely but amazing views from the pool & a happy 10year old boy! Thank you for a lovely stay. We’d love to come back! Jan Andy & Henry

Schöne Ferientage in der restaurierten Scheune

Wir hatten eine sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Murricce in der restauerierten Scheune. Die freistehende, sehr saubere Ferienwohnung war authentisch im toskanischen Stil eingerichtet, es gab eine wundervolle Veranda gleich davor, beschattet durch ein Dach bzw. Kletterpflanzen, was auch im Inneren der Wohnung für angenehme Temperaturen bei der Sommerhitze von stets über 30 °C sorgte. Die Ausstattung liess keine Wünsche offen, sehr reichlich bestückt mit Inventar. Das Grundstück, weitläufig und gepflegt mit einem tollen, grossen Pool bot Freiraum für die Gäste und auch für unseren Hund. Die Eigentümerin und Ihre Töchter kümmerten sich rührend um uns sobald wir eine Frage hatten und gaben uns sehr wertvolle Tipps für die Erkundung der Umgebung und auch die Empfehlung eines Weingutes in der Nähe oder von netten Restaurants war sehr hilfreich. Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge in die zentrale Toskana, kurze Wege, schöne Strassen die sich durch die Hügel winden, man kann herrlich entspannen. Auch das in Minuten erreichbare Siena war trotz Hochsaison ein lohnendes Ziel, gerade in der Abendstimmung unvergleichlich schön. Wir wurden überall sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend begrüsst, die Gastfreundschaft der Einwohner ist bemerkenswert. Auch mit unserem Hund hatten wir nirgends Probleme, sie war überall willkommen und durfte uns stets begleiten. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft gerne weiter, sehr schöner Ort um sich zu erholen und auch die Natur zu geniessen. Wir wünschen Giada und Ihrer Mutter Maria Eva viele nette Gäste und bedanken uns noch einmal ganz herzlich für tolle Gastfreundschaft, die wir geniessen durften. Elfriede und Werner aus München

Lovely week in a gorgeous part of Tuscany

We really enjoyed our stay at Castelnuovo Berardenga. The tastefully converted barn is perfectly located for visiting Siena, the Chianti region and further south to places like Montepulciano and Montalcino. It was a lovely place to come home to after a day out and about with a nice garden and swimming pool for relaxation and a lovely big kitchen and dining room for self-catering. Our host, Giada, was very friendly and helpful and the only negative was the difficulty we had accessing the WI-FI which meant we couldn't check the weather and places we wanted to visit as much as we would have liked. Apart from that one small point, a great place to stay!

Schöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben uns in dem "restored Barn" wohl gefühlt - für Ausflüge nach Siena, in das Chianti-Gebiet und die südliche Toskana ist die Unterkunft ein guter Startpunkt. Die Unterkunft selber ist sehr geräumig und die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet – eine neue Matratze im Schlafzimmer wäre aber wünschenswert.

Inmitten der Toskana

Haben hier einen wunderschönen Urlaub gehabt - restaurierte Wohnscheune ist perfekt, Grundstück und Pool alles sehr gepflegt und sauber, Lage absolut genial. Nach Siena sind es nur wenige Kilometer und auch andere Städtchen wie San Gimignano, Montepuliciano, Chianti .... sind schnell zu erreichen. Auch unser Wuffel hat sich hier sehr wohl gefühlt und die Vermieterin ist sehr nett. Um die Toskana zu entdecken, ist dies hier die perfekt Lage und wir kommen sehr gern wieder. Vielen Dank für die schöne Woche :).

Our Tuscan "Home"

We selected Muricce because it seemed like a great location from which to explore Tuscany. It definitely was. We drove to Siena, Sam Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Colle di Val d'Elsa, and Montepulciano. At Giada's suggestion, we took the bus to Firenze. Great advice! But more than the location, our charming "Restored Barn" was a delightful place to come home to at the end of a long hot day of touring. We would take a swim, pour a glass of wine, and have a light supper on our covered patio, with only the sounds of birds. The kitchen was well equipped (even an American style coffee maker), and the bathroom was a decent size. The bedroom had a large, comfortable bed and a rustic wardrobe and dresser. Giada was absolutely helpful. We got lost on our way, and she came to get us! When the restaurant she had reserved for us for our anniversary dinner cancelled, she arranged for us to have a delicious, romantic, catered dinner on our patio. She called to book a winery tour when we were too late to do it online. She provided information on everything from buying groceries to nearby restaurants and wineries. The wifi inside was iffy, but we used our mobile wifi gadget (highly recommended with Waze app for driving in rural Italy). We will certainly recommend Muricce to friends travelling to Italy. We had a memorable week there -- a charming, peaceful getaway within easy driving to the cities and hill towns of Tuscany.

Perfect location

We spent two weeks at the location (2 adults and one kid) and enjoyed it very much. Calm place, good location (7km from Siena), very nice and helpful owner. It was certainly not our last stay in the beautiful restored barn.

Welcome retreat

What a welcome and refreshing retreat after 8 days in Rome and Sorrento; the expansive open view from the veranda over the garden and beyond was the perfect spot for morning coffee or pre-dinner glass of wine. The singing of birds in the morning was the best alarm clock and such a welcome addition to our farm experience. The owner's Jack Russel (Jack) and their 3 or 4 cats would come by for visits but never annoy. The bed was very comfortable, the shower had lots of pressure, ample towel hooks and the washing machine and drying rack very appreciated after 8 days on the road. The location is great; we made daily road trips exploring popular nearby sights several were recommended by our host; highlights we would have otherwise overlooked. There is a little grocery store 4 kms away where we bought fresh meat, vegetables, and some staples for the delicious dinners we prepared in the well equipped kitchen. The property was clean. comfortable, well situated and our hosts very friendly and helpful. We used the pool two afternoons for quiet reading and planning our next day's adventure. Rustic charm in the heart of Tuscany.

Maison confortable et bien entretenue

Appartement spacieux pour 2 ou 3 personnes; avec une cuisine bien équipée, une grande chambre et une salle de bain en marbre, confortables et bien entretenues. Il ya une grande terrasse avec des fauteuils pour se détendre et profiter de la vue sur le jardin, orné de plantes, de fleurs et d'une belle oliveraie. Les propriétaires ont tout particulièrement le sens de l'accueil et le souci permanent de favoriser le meilleur séjour possible ! Nous avons apprécié le calme de la campagne tout en bénéficiant de la proximité de Siena; de plus la location est rattachée au réseau de bus urbain.

Maison charmante,accueil tres agreable

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la Grange Restaurée ouverte sur un beau jardin avec piscine.L'appartement est vaste et bien équipé et la véranda ouverte sur le jardin est très appréciable. L'accueil des propriétaires est des plus sympathiques! cette propriété est très bien située pour visiter les villages toscans. Nous recommandons vivement cette location!

very nice place for our holidays

Very friendly welcome by the owners of the restored barn. It was nicer than we expected it while booking period. Clean and fully equipped with more than the required minimum. Near by there is a friendly farmer producing oil and wine. Taste it, The olive oil is very fine. Good base for going to Siena and Monteriggioni by car. Oliver

Séjour très agréable, excellente situation

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à la Grange le Muricce. Nous avons bien apprécié un jardin trés soigné, une large piscine ensoleillé et un appartement confortable, équipée de tout. L'endroit est idéal pour découvrir la campagne toscane et ses nombreuses cités médiévales, la proximité avec Sienne aidant. Merci pour votre accueil trés convivial.

tutti bene in restaurierter Scheune

Wir verbrachten 2 Wochen in diesem hübschen Ferienhaus mit günstiger Ausgangslage zu Besuchen von Siena, den Crete senesi und dem Chianti und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist nett eingerichtet, die Küche gut ausgestattet, der Garten und Pool sind immer sauber und gepflegt. Auch die Vermieter waren immer nett und hilfsbereit und nahmen auch unsere Hunde freundlich auf. Rundum ein schöner Aufenthalt!

A peaceful location with beautiful views

We spent a wonderful week in Le Murricce. It's in a beautiful area of Tuscany only a short way from Siena with other places such as Montereggioni, San Gimignano and Volterra as well as the villages of the Chianti region all within an hour or so's drive. Whilst Le Murricce is in a quiet, unspoilt rural area, access to major roads is quick and easy which all adds to the ease with which you can explore this part of Tuscany. The 'barn' is ideal for two or three. It's not a barn in the English sense of a large cavernous building - Le Murricce is small and intimate. It is well equipped and has a real sense of character about it. It lies just behind the family's 18th Century villa in lovely grounds with Marie Eve's garden immediately adjacent to it and a swimming pool at the bottom. The outlook is across meadows and fields. We particularly enjoyed watching hoopoes feeding on the grass and redstarts nest building in the trees! You really need to have a car. Basciano, the village in which Le Murricce lies, is a residential village with few facilities and the nearest shops/supermarkets and restaurants if you want to eat out are a few miles away. There is a bus at the top of the road for Siena, but once again a car is far more convenient. And Basciano isn`t really a village for strolling around in - there are no footpaths and whilst not busy with traffic the road is narrow. In summary, the description you read of the property is accurate. It is clean and well maintained, Marie Eve and Giada were extremely welcoming and helpful and we would certainly recommend the property to friends and family. It would be very hard to find anything negative to say about it. We certainly anticipate returning at some time ourselves to continue our exploration and appreciation of this fascinating part of Tuscany.
