Property was great with nice view. Really enjoyed the first few days. Fire system water line did brake flooding the unit and causing us to leave. But this was no ones fault and the owners offered us a free week during the off season. Great unit with nice owners.

The space was very comfortable and clean. Being right on the beach was a major win! The beds were comfy as well. Close to great restaurants and wonderful ice cream!! Would stay there again.

Priorities met

This condo is great for multiple reasons: there is privacy for two couples with the two bedrooms separated by a long hall and each has a bathroom, a wonderful view of the ocean and beach, a very well equipped kitchen with a number of pots and pans that are functional and clean, good communication with the host when the main tv connections had an issue,and finally, three cable tvs with options to stream as well.

Great Getaway

Loved the condo being beach front & easy access to the beach. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Neighbors were friendly. Our only disappointment was the pool was closed due to a new deck being built. We would love to visit OIB again! Host were easy to communicate with & we did not have any issues during our stay.

Great stay

My friends & I loved the location & how the balcony & living room had the beach/ocean view. We had all the kitchen supplies we needed. Linens were provided. Wifi was great! We appreciated the notification in advance to bring our own paper products & soap/shower/laundry/dishwashing supplies, but having these provided along with access to beach chairs would have been appreciated. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to our hosts!

Inexpensive but wasn’t clean

When we arrived the place felt very musty and we found a couple cockroaches. We explored more and the my husband found empty beer bottles in the room where our kids were going to stay. And a red stain on the bed spread. In the kitchen the cabinets inside looked as if they haven’t been cleaned in a while. The top of the light fixtures in all rooms were very dirty. We ended up finding a much cleaner place closer to our friends so we stay there for the week. I had text the owners with all of this and have not heard back. I had asked questions about linens snd bath towels prior to our visit and never received a response. response.

Spectacular view and location

We have been visiting Ocean Isle beach since 2007 and this was one of the best views of the beach. Quick response from the owners. Just an all around great experience.

Softball Tournament

Property was in an excellent location. The ocean front views were AMAZING. The keyless entry was perfect, no struggling to keep up with keys. Beds were great! Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty on seating for us all. Decor was cute and very beachy. I personally loved the elevator. The pool was beautiful. Although it was closed but they had plenty of lounge chairs for when it is open. The property owners were very responsive and courteous. They had a binder with all kinds of places to eat and visit and instructions on how to use the remotes. You are literally steps to the ocean. Was a wonderful week. We went for a highschool softball tournament. We overall had a great time. We will be back.

It was everything we wanted

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. We were there mid April; warm enough to enjoy long walks, sunbathing and a splash in the water. The condo unit is spacious and comfortable. Loved the large balcony; there was plenty of room to set up my art studio.

Nice location

Everything was as stated on VRBO, great view, right on the beach and quiet. The issue we had was the place was not clean. The cleaning service must of had a bad day because the condo was filthy. Upon entering the condo we noticed right away it had not been cleaned, sanitized or disinfected. There were rings around the toilet. There was food on the floor especially in the living area. There’s fingerprints on the mirrors, tables and doors . I looked under the beds and you can sure tell it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The rugs are dirty. There were used tissues left in the bedroom drawer. Lint and dust everywhere. Foot marks on the walls. Everything needed to be cleaned and disinfected including the air vents. The ice in the freezer was moldy. We contacted the owner and he immediately contacted his cleaning staff. They were scheduled to come out the next day so the first nights stay wasn’t fit to live in. We tried to go ahead and at least wash the sheets before we slept in the beds but the washer broke and water was flowing everywhere. We went to the store and purchased cleaning items so we could clean the kitchen and bathrooms and wipe down other surfaces to disinfect what we could. The cleaning guy did come out the next day and he did a good job. The owner Jim did always answer my texts and calls promptly. Hopefully the issues have been resolved. We would not stay here again.

Drift Away at Ocean Isle

Overall we had a great week long stay at the property. No major issues to speak of, but appliances could use some attention and the owner has it on his to do list. This is a perfect location on the western side of the island and you can almost walk to Sunset Beach at low tide. Thanks for hosting us!

We've visited several times since then and recently purchased our own beach front condo. We are excited to share our vacation home with you and hope you will enjoy coming to the beach as much as we do! We feel that Ocean Isle Beach is the perfect family vacation destination.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The Windjammer is located right on the beach and is very well maintained. It has a glass elevator, large pool and plenty of parking. Being located on the west end of the island is a big plus and offers a less crowded beach. The views from the oceanfront balcony are unobstructed and breathtaking. To be able to open the sliding door and hear the waves is a dream come true. The condo is very comfortable and feels larger than it is.

The closer to the beach the better and this oceanfront condo puts you steps from the sand! We can drop our bags, grab our suits and be on the beach in less than 5 minutes! The beautiful ocean views and quiet beaches make it easy to relax and the family friendly island environment can't be beat. Coffee on the balcony is the highlight of our mornings The layout of the condo provides privacy with each bedroom having access to its own bath. One of our favorite features is the key-less entry so there is never any worries about losing a key or having to take one with you to the beach.
