Spent almost our entire time upstairs. Bar area, pool table, projector with surround sound was very cool! House sleeps 6-8 people comfortably. Already planning another stay there jext year!

Excellent place to stay!

Wow! Fishing was amazing! The host answered immediately to any questions that we had. Grocery store and bait shop was quite close. We loved it as a family!

Great Family Long Weekend

The cabin was great for our family vacation, it had something for all ages. It was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 8. The outside amenities were great and the lake is a great lake to spend the day on the boat.

Family lake vacation

Very roomy. Comfortably accommodated the whole family. Beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a roomy dock for the boat. Could use kid friendly drinking glasses.

This place has everything and more!

This place was everything you want for a vacation. The house was clean and equipped with quality necessities along with extra amenities; such as a pool table, pontoon, ouside firplace, etc.. The owner was kind and quick to answer any questions we had while staying there. All the beds were amazingly comfortable!

Fantastic place for family time

Our family celebrated our Mom's 80th Birthday at John's place. The place was clean and there was plenty to do for all ages. John was quick to respond to any questions we had. Renting his boat was a great as we really enjoyed our time on the boat. We would definitely go back again!

Great Central Location

This property is right in the middle of the action in the Cross Lake area. A day on the pontoon is a perfect way to take it all in. The rental house is good. The fire ring and dock area are good. The pontoon is excellent. John was helpful returning some items that were left behind.

Guys weekend

This is a great property for a large group on one of MN best lakes! John is a GREAT host... we have stayed at his place for the past three years... we were impressed the first year, and it only gets better every year. Outside of being a great property, all of the little things are thought of as well...from kitchen utensils to entertainment games. I highly recommend this place for your stay and John as your host.

Annual trip to connect with old high school friends

This place is perfect for a group of friends or a family... or even a couple of families who are looking to vacation together on a great lake! Although the guest house doesn't have a view of the lake, it has everything you's need and want, with the lake just steps away (around the main house). A couple of very nice bedrooms on the main level with a big living room, a fully stocked kitchen, grill, games for outside, etc... Upstairs has more beds, a full bar area with pool table, upper deck, etc... John, the owner, is great to work with... he'll rent his pontoon, so no need to bring your own boat... and there is a really nice place to have evening fires by the lake.

Fun Getaway on Lower Whitefish

Beautiful property. House was functional and more than enough space for a family of 6. Well stocked kitchen,and comfortable beds. Young adults and teenagers really enjoyed the upstairs theater, pool table and cozy sleeping quarters. John was super responsive and great to deal with. We rented the pontoon from him as well and enjoyed watersporting and touring the lake. House was organized and tidy. The home has high quality appliances and tvs in every room. Would definitely return. Thanks John!

Bliss on Whitefish

The property is well groomed and building and grounds are safe clean and very comfortable. The host is very responsive to concerns and questions. Our family consisted of teens, middle aged and older adults. The stairs to the dock count 26 and posed no problem for us. I needed to launch my fishing boat and that was located right across the road from the property. Very convenient. Very comfortable beds and sofa and chairs. Beautiful fireplace with patio and chairs to enjoy an evening fire. Ample firewood provided. Very enjoyable vacation John. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Great Location on that lake and set up was fine for our family reunion. Only real issue is the pictures DO NOT represent the rental appropriately. You see the owners house and views of the waterfront amenities. The rental is a separate building back by the street with no view of the water.

Perfect guesthouse for our family of 11. Sectional sofa is huge and very comfortable, two teenagers slept on it all week. Private doc was great for our lund fishing boat, 4 kayaks and tubes, lilypad, etc. and we rented the pontoon too which was so nice to have right there. Wished we could see the lake from the guesthouse, but it was priced accordingly. Fireplace and chairs very nice too. Refridgerator ice maker did not work but we just bought ice.Overall amazing stay and week, would definitely go back!

Quality property

We selected this lake house because it allowed pets. The house was well maintained and has many upgraded features. The owner was great to deal with. The only negatives are it does not have a lake view because it sits behind the larger owner's home. As a result, it does not have a patio or deck overlooking the lake.

The Best Bachelorette Weekend Ever!!

We came out to John’s property for my best friend’s bachelorette party and it was amazing!! The pictures online honestly do not do the place justice as it was a lot bigger and more spacious than we expected! John was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had, he gave us great recommendations, and he was very accommodating! The check in and check out process was super easy and we didn’t have any problems during our stay. We rented his pontoon out for a day and it fit all 13 of us perfectly. Our group is still raving about how great the place was and what a blast we all had. I definitely recommend staying here and would 100% come back!

Guest house review

Caught fish off the dock really nice pontoon that was available to rent but weather a little rough a couple days. Had a nice anniversary with wife and family. Nice pool table and projecter upstairs lake would be great swimming june july so in general great time!
