great house, terrible property management

house in great condition, great location. However the AC was broken during our stay and Vacasa was non-responsive in helping with this issue.

Fantastic Getaway

Everything we needed and more. Super location an easy walk into Oak Bluffs, to the Ferry and to the #13 bus. Lots of great spaces to gather and chit chat both indoors and out. Very well-equipped kitchen. Excellent weekend.

End of Summer Hurrah!

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was spotless and accurately advertised in the photos present. Tons of modern ammenities, including a rain shower, high end dish washer and washer drier, and air conditioning units. Plenty of room for a family of 4 and more to stay comfortably. All rooms were equipped with towels and bed linens for the stay. Superb location, walking distance to the town and the beach and easy to access off the ferry. The house was located in a well kept neighborhood on a quiet street and we would definitely come back again. The booking and check-in/check-out processes all went very smoothly and the company was very responsive.

The location of the home is perfect. We enjoyed the property. The only downside was there is only 1 shower even though there is 2 bathrooms. One bathroom has a bathtub. Otherwise, the house was very clean and accomodating.

Great house great location

Where do I start? We just loved this house. A quick walk puts you right in the middle of all the action in Oak Bluffs...shops, restaurants, bars, ferries, everything you need is minutes away. Yet the street is so quiet, we only heard the ferry horn. When you're done exploring or beaching, relax on the huge porch or grill up your fresh catch on the back deck. Kitchen was fully equipped and updated. Beds and bedding/linens were clean and comfortable. Already booked for next year. Can't wait!

Vacasa Issues

Overall, the house is very nice and in a good location. It's a short walk to East Chop beach and downtown isn't too far either. All of the rooms have AC which is nice. My main issues were communicating with Vacasa regarding a few issues that needed attention. The communication was very poor and frustrating.

The property manager has not returned any correspondence regarding an important bag that was left on the property from our stay. This place was too expensive for the quality and service that we received. Whatever you do, do not leave anything that you value after check out because it will likely not be returned.

Amazing location!

We truly enjoyed our stay as the house is very charming and the location is very walkable into town. We loved the front and back porch, updated kitchen, and numerous bedrooms. A shower in the upstairs bathroom would be helpful, and additional toilet paper/garbage bags stocked, but those are minor and did not negatively impact our stay. We did not interact with property management, as instructions were simple and easy to follow. Would highly recommend!

OB September weekend Getaway

Spent the long weekend in September. Great time of year! Hoodies on the beach all day, shopping in Edgartown and football on Sunday! House was big, has nice character and in great location to Circuit Ave( 1/2 mile). Small store for groceries and beer is even closer. Would love to come back

Convenient location

This house is located in quiet neighborhood but very close to down town. House is very nice, very stocked kitchen. Only issue is with Vacasa which is very hard to communicate. They don't reply easily to any email. Especially, when you book first time, they should email all the FAQ, so people know what to expect and when. House is very nice.

Long Weekend Getaway

We spent a lovely long weekend with our family. 3-twenty something’s and 2-teenagers. The layout of the bedrooms worked well. My favorite was the comfortable porch for morning coffee and evening happy hour before a quick walk downtown for dinner. The yard could use some tending to.

Excellent location near Oak Bluffs Harbor

We had a great stay in this home in July. There were 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids, and the house offered plenty of space to spread out. The house was very clean and was exactly as pictured and described. The beds were all comfortable. Two of the four bedrooms were smaller/tighter, but it did not bother us. Only the downstairs bedroom had a small closet - the others did not. But, there were drawers and hooks in all of the other rooms. It wasn't an issue for us. All of the beds came with clean sheets and blankets, and every bedroom had plenty of fresh, clean towels. We only needed to bring beach towels! The house had ample supply of beach chairs (the kind you can carry on your back). There is a/c is every bedroom, plus the living room and kitchen, and we needed it. The kitchen was well stocked, though I confess we did not do a lot of cooking. One minor complaint was that the primary kitchen lights did not work (over the kitchen table), so the kitchen was rather dark at night. The only working lights were over the island and they are quite dim. Grateful for the outdoor shower because the upstairs bathroom only has a tub. Other minor complaint is that the downstairs shower had extremely low pressure and the drain started to clog after about 10min. It would have been a major issue had we all tried to shower in there, but the majority of my family chose to shower outdoors after the beach. The washer and dryer worked really well. The front porch was lovely! The house is located very close to Oak Bluffs Harbor. We found it took us less than 10 minutes to walk to downtown OB, and we loved that convenience. The house is also about 10 minutes from Jetty Beach (East Chop), which was also very convenient. The house claims to have a parking spot, but we could not figure out where that was supposed to be. That being said, we never had an issue parking right out front of the house. Neighborhood was pretty quiet. We would rent here again!

Weekend Getaway

The location is fantastic and walking distance to shops, food, the beach and water. I would have liked to see there be gas in the tank for the grill and the information on the website to access the property was not correct. The doors were left unlocked. When we contacted Vacasa (management group), they didn't respond and I still haven't heard back. I would be weary of that if you do have issues. The shower downstairs does not drain well, but I read prior reviews on that and was already aware of that being an issue. Great amount of space for a family too. Plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Beds were comfortable too.

Good Location/Over Priced

This property had a great location close to the ferry which worked well without a car. Overall the property was over priced, lacking basic items like towels, sponges,detergent and so on... The shower drain was clogged which resulted in water constantly spilling onto the bathroom floor. The yard and the home both need a lot of TLC. If the rental was 1/2 the price it would be understandable but at a cost high & over priced for the property. That being said MV is a great place to visit!!!

Good / some areas of improvement

Microwave didn’t work , shower leaked pretty bad onto floor , the house was incrediably hot at times. Invest in at least one air unit per floor - so at least you can gather in a room. Renters will not return otherwise . The window treatments kept falling off the windows which did not allow privacy in the bedroom , skunks living under side deck , exterior a mess , cleaning service -fair , dressers drawers non functional as you could not open most drawers, suggest converting upstairs tub to include a shower . Two nights in a row a car parked in front of property one night a person was smoking weed , the other night 2 people arguing . Made me feel very uneasy given I had no blinds or drapes to close and a single mom w/ my teenagers . Less is more......Lots of “ stuff “ everywhere . Property manager-Don , very responsive and professional . Booking was seamless . TVs and cable package a plus . Kitchen was spacious and updated. Plenty of porch seating . Close walk to package store and town. Nice living room setup . Kids loved the upstairs TV space . Nice cooler , decent beach chairs . Great I could rent 3 nights, price was fair. 3 out of 5 stars . I would probably seek out a different property my next visit unless some changes were made .
