Stor villa byggd i början av 1970-talet, med ett område p�� 300 kvadratmeter, 4 dubbelrum och 4 badrum för att bekvämt rymma 8 personer, med trädgård, privat pool och stora utomhusområden utrustade för uteservering. Huset är idealiskt för små grupper av vänner.

Villan, helt inhägnad, kännetecknas av en välskött gräsmatta med höga tr��d på cirka 400 kvadratmeter som sträcker sig över 3 sidor av huset, utrustad för utomhusliv och grillning. I en solig och panoramautsikt, lite lägre ��n huset, finns en rektangulär form som mäter 4x9 med ett djup på 1,50 meter, asfalterad på kortare sidan och utrustad med solstolar, utomhusdusch och med vissa områden av nyans till skydd från solen eller för att njuta av de suggestiva solnedg��ngar som den hisnande panorama kan erbjuda. Parkering ligger inom fastigheten. Inredning
Villan har nyligen renoverats med särskild uppm��rksamhet åt detaljer, med inredning i klassisk stil i mjuka färger som ger rummet en avkopplande atmosfär. Interiörerna är utvecklade på 2 nivåer. Huvudentrén nås direkt från en av de yttre vägarna. På bottenvåningen hittar vi det stora välutrustade köket med matbord, satellit-TV och öppen spis, 2 stora dubbelrum med himmelssäng, panoramafönster och 1 badrum med dusch och tvättmaskin. En trappa leder till första våningen där vi hittar ett relaxavdelning med soffa och satellit-TV och tillgång till terrassen, 2 stora dubbelrum med utsikt och tillgång till uteterrassen och 2 badrum, ett stort med dubbla handfat och badkar och det andra med dusch.

Tuscan Holiday

Camillo and his Mom were great hosts. We got lost finding the Villa and Camillo came to get us. Upon check-in there was bread , cheese , a few bottles of wine and Prosecco plus an array of baked good waiting for us. During the week they brought over fresh sauce and an appetizer. One evening they made dinner for us ( we paid for it) and it was amazing. Location was fantastic. The only down side was that there a lot of lantern flys and fruit flies upstairs in the bedrooms.. we killed a lot!

Way more than we expected!

The villa was fabulous! All of the little touches. All of the standard requirements. The welcome offerinfs. The departing gifts. Such a friendly family managing the place. Cental to multiple towns and restaurants. Youbare out in the country but onlyb10 minites from grocery stores and restaurants and cafes and bars and more.

Amazing Tuscany Get Away

We stayed at this property for 4 nights in September. The family was gracious and inviting. Camillo took care of every request efficiently. The grounds around the home are amazing and the views breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Spot

My family of 7 really enjoyed this villa. Camillo and his mother, Patricia run the villa. They are very kind and welcoming. We felt right at home immediately. When we arrived they had left us bread and salami and baked goods lots of little snacks! The pool was perfect for the hot August weather. The villa is very homey and comfortable. It's location is excellent. You can get to many places in under 30 minutes. We also booked one of Patricia's dinner menus. The food and the service was excellent. I would stay here again.

Overall good, but the beds were bad

Overall a good stay. The house is a bit quirky as its quite old but overall in good condition. It definitely needs to be renovated though to bring it up to date. Unfortunately the beds are super old box springs. The first night we go no sleep at all due to the first mattress we slept on being hard as a rock. The next night my wife and I tried a different bedroom and the mattress was so old the middle dipped completely and was super squeaky. We had to sleep with a pillow between us so we didn't roll into each other. The third and 4th night we just slept in different bedrooms so we could get a bit of sleep. Not ideal for vacation. Overall the family who lives there and manages the property were incredibly nice, the AC worked well and we generally had a good stay. We loved the pool. Oh, their dog barking at 4am wasn't ideal each night. But to end on a positive note the location and view is amazing. just 15 minutes from San Gimignano and with a killer view. I feel bad leaving this review, but I guess it is what it is.

A great place to stay...does not get any nicer

Our stay here was just fabulous. The views from the villa windows of the countryside vineyards, olive groves and San Gimignano which was about 5 km away were breathtaking. This property is well kept, clean and just as beautiful as described in the ad. Ms. Patricia and son Camelio were generous, kind and the perfect hosts. We were greeted with pizza, bread, cheese and wine for a dinner on our arrival. There was an assortment of many dessert/candy treats and fruit in the living room which were thoroughly enjoyed. They also stopped by on several occasions during our 2 week stay to drop off wine or champagne along with a dinner supplement of homemade ravioli, lasagna, or homemade mozzarella cheese. All delicious! They also made the stay check out very easy and gave us a nice parting gift of biscotti and travel book.

Dream vacation in Tuscany

Everyone in our group loved the villa. The hostess Patrizia and her son met us at the house and were extremely gracious and generous from the first moment. We arrived late in the day and they had left us pizzas, cakes, pastries and chilled wine. We were so grateful. On the last night of our stay, Patrizia and her family prepared for us a remarkable feast of Italian specialties. Everything was delicious... the best food we had eaten in this region. They even baked a dessert to celebrate a birthday in our group. The weather was unseasonably warm during our stay and the host family left the pool open for us even though it would normally be closed in October. The location of the villa was only 15 minute drive from San Gimignano. We highly recommend this villa. Thank you!

Fabulous stay!

Everything about our trip to this villa was amazing. The house is lovely and the views are amazing! Patricia and her son Camillo are wonderful. They cooked for us, along with her grandmother on 2 nights and it was spectacular! I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. We will definitely return. A concierge service is offered and I highly recommend them as well. Luciano was our driver one day and he was great! He even met us for lunch the next day in San Gimignana and showed us around. Just a true Italian experience! I will recommend this villa to everyone!~

Amazing!

09/23 - Perfect in almost every way possible. We stayed here for a week and wished as we were leaving that we had made it a two-week stay instead of heading to the Amalfi Coast. The family on the property was so accommodating to our every need. We had booked the first night to have the family host a dinner for us, what a treat that was. We had so much food that we had leftovers and a full meal the next day. It was such a treat we had them do it again for us later in the week! Now that we knew what to expect we thought it couldn’t be as good as the first time… We were wrong, it was better and again it made for two nights’ worth of meals! The house is as beautiful as advertised, the surroundings of the gardens are so well maintained as the “grandma” is out early every day working on the garden and yard. We had plenty of room for 6 of us to spread out and have space to spare. The treats provided by the host family were a wonderful surprise and incredible to eat as well. One in our group got sick w/ a severe cold and they provided freshly made chicken soup for lunch twice during the week at our request. Seriously, that is going above and beyond for your guest! The location overlooking San Gimignano in the distance was picturesque and worthy of a fine painting. The sunsets were more and more stunning as the week went on. We had no problem using this location as a base for our daily travels, when we wanted to leave the pool, to other towns nearby. Florence, Siena and

A Fabulous Stay

There is no way to thank Patrizia and her family enough for the wonderful stay at Il nido del merlo. We were a 15 min drive from San Gemignano. Certaldo was very close with a train station. We had several wineries minutes away including Fantaleoni...Patrizias Family and Olive oil bar. We had very spacious rooms with air and ability to do laundry. This was important as we stayed 3 weeks in the heat of August. The pool is salt water and beautiful!! We were treated often to Patrizia and Marias cooking and baking. We requested 2 dinners ( paid) and they were both amazing. The energy and joy shown us on this vacation was beyond my expectations. If we had any questions or concerns they were quick to help us . I would go back in a heartbeat. Truly amazing hosts. It was hard to say goodbye!!

Tuscany Escape

This was our favorite vacation stay in a long time! The hospitality, views, and food is second to none! Your own private pool was incredible. The hosts are great communicators and easy to work with. We miss the location and want to go back very soon. Everyone in our family had an amazing time! Host recommended great spots including amazing Fontaleoni wines! The real highlight of our stay at this wonderful farm villa was the host family. We have never experienced such care and happiness. Amazing view of San Himignano and excellent access for day trips in every direction including the Chianti Trail and Sienna.

Aside from the house being wonderfully well equipped, Patrizia and her son Camilo were wonderfully helpful and kind. They are excellent hosts, attentive and gracious. They provided a number of delicious baked goods and some wine when we arrived that lasted our stay. Beyond thoughtful and we we very happy with the house. We even had them prepare a dinner at the adjoining house, which was excellent. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful home, amazing view, practical location, terrific hospitality

Thank you for your very warm welcome upon our arrival at Il Nido del Merlo. We were really appreciative of all the wonderful surprises that were waiting for us. The homemade cakes and pastries, the fresh fruits, the sausage and bottles of wine from your vineyard were delicious and a real treat! We found Il Nido del Merlo very cozy and comfortable and the view of the Tuscan countryside from the backyard is breathtaking! The beautiful gardens and swimming pool are a perfect setting for visitors. The landscaping was breathtaking, with a variety of plants, flowers, vegetables, and even some caged poultry (the rooster wakes up early - bring ear plugs if your hearing is sensitive and you like to sleep in). We particularly wish to thank Maria for the delicious gourmet meal that she prepared for our family dinner (extra of 50 euros per person, was totally worth it). The food was beautifully presented, the portions were generous and the home made wines were great. I want to especially thank her for the extra effort she put into preparing home made gluten-free pasta, bread and desserts for my mother and myself. We had a marvellous evening and you were great hostesses! Our stay in Tuscany was a lot of fun and we were able to take several day trips to Florence, Sienna and San Gimignano from your Il Nido del Merlo because it is a convenient location and close to many attractions. It will be our pleasure to recommend Il Nido del Merlo to family and friends.

May 2022. 3 cousins - 2 from America, 1 from UK plus husbands have just spent 10 days at Patrizia's lovely villa. We were extremely pleased with our choice. Patrizia and her mother (Grandma Maria) were wonderful hosts and so generous with gifts of eggs from the hens, vegetables from the garden , even pizza, cold meats, bread, fruit and wine for a scratch meal on arrival, plus a selection of cakes and biscuits to go with coffee or tea. The villa, its elevated position with its view across to San Gimignano, the pool area and large garden were all wonderful. The pictures of the garden on the website need updating as they do not do justice to Grandma Maria's tireless work in the beautiful garden which was a riot of colour with a fantastic display of roses. We made good use of the barbeque (wood supplied) and Patrizia and Grandma Maria cooked a marvellous meal for us one evening which we ate in the lovely pergola in the garden of Grandma's adjoining house. The location is rural but not remote and very peaceful so it would have been easy to spend all the holiday at the villa. Being rural there were of course there were the usual country noises of barking dogs and the early morning call of cockerels. The 5 bedrooms were all very spacious and the terrace surrounding the 4 upstairs rooms was a real bonus. We used the downstairs bedroom and 2 upstairs which meant that each couple could have their own bathroom but it would have been easy to share. The furnishings were all very good. Missing from the website is a photo of the large comfortable lounge but the weather was so good we hardly used it and were able to take all our meals outside. The 9 score for the kitchen is only because there is a shortage of power sockets so it is necessary to juggle between appliances but this was no real problem. We would certainly return to Nido del Merlo and think anyone booking the villa would be as pleased as we were. The house number of the villa is No 42, on SP95 so feeding that into the sat nav as well as the co-ordinates would help getting there. Thank you once again Patrizia and Grandma Maria. Gillade: Renlighet, incheckning, kommunikation, plats och annonsens riktighet

Tolle Lage, tolle Gastgeber

Die Villa liegt etwas außerhalb, extrem ruhig, die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Es gibt mehr Schlaf- als Badezimmer, somit gemeinsame Benutzung, war aber kein Problem unter Freunden. Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet. Wir hatten super netten Kontakt zu den Vermietern, die uns toll mit eigenem Wein und anderen kleinen, italienischen Spezialitäten versorgt haben, das war eine freiwillige Beigabe. Toll. Die Sprache vor Ort war nur italienisch, was etwas schwierig aber extrem lustig war, wie haben uns bei Infos und kurzen Gesprächen mit Händen und Füssen ausgetauscht, Sehr, sehr nett.

Best experience ever

We had an amazing time at this beautiful villa. The views from the Villa were beyond great. The hospitality from the host family amazing. I love go back to this villa in a heart beat!!!
