Lovely holiday overall & in a great location. The place was spotlessly clean & the kitchen equipment was certainly adequate. Our dog enjoyed the fantastic local walks from the front door down to the canal & railway bridge. Had a lovely time here.

Had a lovely time here. Very clean and perfect for what we were looking for. My son had the double bed as we were worried about dogs causing a noise by being kept downstairs and sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable but that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying our stay!  Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Clean, tidy and cozy.

Two night stay with kids and a dog to visit family in area. Property is located just off the main road, pretty rural setting yet 10 minute walk to local amenities. The property has one good sized double, a sofa bed in the lounge and plenty of space to house a cot if needed. Small enclosed garden but some good open walks for the dog, be prepared to get muddy though. Well stocked kitchen with tea and coffee. Pleasantly surprised to find a washing machine too. Plenty of easy parking in front and a small shared grassy area where dogs are allowed. The road to shops is mostly single track and not a great walk with kids and a dog but is 3 mins in the car. The property provided a comfortable stay and we would recommend it.

The Swallows was a lovely cosy cottage with an enclosed outdoor space at the back and alongside some other pretty cottages set on a farm which was out in the country enough for dog walks/runs without being out in the middle of nowhere. Myself, my husband and teenage son spent a week here using it as a base for visiting our daughter who is studying in Bath University and we did a few other things nearby such as the butterfly zoo and centre farm and the Swindon shopping outlet. We were all very comfortable in the cottage (including the dog) and had everything we needed, I would highly recommend it if you want a rural retreat which isn't miles from anywhere and I'm sure there are other places to see if you don't have a dog with you i.e. Longleat /stonehenge too.

Beautiful little cottage, spotlessly clean. Very well designed and equipped. Dog walking was easy with walks right outside the gate. Only suggestion I would offer is more information on the property for people staying. I didn’t know where the bins where until the final day and I met the cleaner ( thank you for such an immaculately clean place to stay) There May have been WiFi but I couldn’t find a code anywhere. Just a bit of info would have been extra helpful. I would happily stay here again. I’m fact, I’d happily live in one of the properties. Plenty of parking, easy to find ( thanks for the very good directions) Would recommend The Swallows 100%.

An individual outside space was great too. Only downside...no sieve! No good to rinse pasta! But we would happily go back. It was lovely!!

Also good to have a bathroom upstairs as well as down. This is a great location to Royal Wootton Bassett and other places of interest. Would definitely recommend this place. We loved our time there.

Very clean and tidy cottage with everything we needed and good areas near by to walk our dogs.

Very clean and tidy cottage with everything we needed and good areas near by to walk our dogs. The only negative we had was that some building work was going on outside our lounge window which wasn't a major problem but it would have been nice if the builders had left starting works until a reasonable hour and not 07.00 in the morning. Would definitely recommend to others.
