Absolutely lovely cottage and beautiful location, the views from the cottage are picturesque. Plenty of places for eating out nearby (some close over winter though) a co-op nearby is ideal for self catering. This cottage is also very dog friendly and has a veterinary surgery next door (very ideal) which has pet supplies. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay on the isle of skye, I will definitely want to come here again!

Modern, very comfortable and well equipped cottage situated next to friendly owner's home on the out

Modern, very comfortable and well equipped cottage situated next to friendly owner's home on the outskirts of Broadford. For many the main attraction will be the seashore location with views across the bay and the chance to spot wildlife from the large windows. The aptly named cottage is a paradise for lazy birdwatchers. Seals and the occasional otter can also be seen. Broadford has a range of shops and restaurants. The recently renovated Co-op (open 7am - 10 pm daily) stocks a wide variety of foodstuffs and its petrol station sells the cheapest fuel for miles around. This was my first visit but hopefully not the last. Highly recommended.

The cottage was very spacious, clean and well looked after, and our host was very friendly. In a great location for walking around Broadford and the beach is on your doorstep. Every morning I sat with a coffee in the little corner of the garden looking at the sea. Incredibly peaceful and serene no matter what time of day. We had the great fortune of having the skye summer with us which made it even more enjoyable. The open fire place in the evening was the perfect place to relax together with our dog curled up in front of it, whilst once again being mesmerised by the sea through the beautiful scenic windows. So much wildlife to spot from a variety of seabirds to seals and even a water vole. The restaurant around the corner makes for an ideal dining out location only a few minutes walk away, whilst a delicatessen further along the road is a perfect pit stop prior to a day’s adventure on this stunning Island. We will most definitely return.
