Orchard Cottage - Nybyggd bondgård Annexe

Orchard Cottage är en nybyggd fristående tre sovrum annex till ett klass II-talat lanthus från 1600-talet, beläget i närheten av byn Castle Hedingham i norra Essex.

Stugan ligger på en idyllisk bondgård, omgiven av vackert land, utmärkt utsikt, med gott om offentliga vandringsleder och gångväg för dig att utforska.

Platsen är en idealisk åtkomstpunkt till de närliggande städerna och byarna i Suffolk / Essex gränser som Lavenham, Long Melford, Sudbury, Finchingfield, Braintree och längre bort Colchester, Newmarket och Cambridge.

Vi är idealiskt beläget för bröllop på Hedingham Castle (mindre än 5 minuters bilresa), liksom The White Hart, Gosfield Hall, Fennes Estate och Smeetham Hall, som alla ligger bara en kort bilresa bort.

Fastigheten är färdig både inifrån och ut till en högkvalitativ specifikation. Det erbjuder tre bra storlek sovrum, befälhavaren har ett badrum och en stor familj badrum på första våningen. En vedeldad eld ger mysiga kvällar i vardagsrummet, samt ett fullt utrustat kök och separat tvättstuga. Matsalen erbjuder ett stort matbord med plats för upp till åtta personer och platt-TV på väggen.

Utsidan har en generös gräsyta, möblerad uteplats med kolgrill och separat uppfart och parkering för upp till fyra fordon.

Te, kaffe och färsk mjölk tillhandahålls vid ankomst, med en korg med "godis" för att du ska trivas! Vi erbjuder sängkläder, handdukar och toalettartiklar gratis.

Excellent Peaceful Cottage

Beautiful cottage and grounds. Would stay again. One of best Vacay places we have ever stayed! Heated floors, full kitchen, amazing views with lots of nature.

Perfect for a family celebration

The cottage was so comfortable, warm, clean and the kitchen was fully equipped which made it easy to prepare a Christmas meal. Really enjoyed the location …very peaceful. Just perfect !

Relaxation & escape

Lovely stay surrounded by farmland, having all the information about walks was really helpful. Location is great as so many pubs nearby and things to see and do. We were mainly visiting family but really convenient. We had everything we needed.

Comfortable Rural Stay

Comfortable, well-equipped cottage built onto the end of the farmhouse next door, with its own drive and grounds and ample parking space. The setting is rural, surrounded by fields and copses, just over a mile down a narrow single track lane. Very quiet, apart from the sound of planes on the flight path into Stansted airport 15 miles or more away, which didn't really bother us in October (though for a couple of nights bizarre acoustics did make a couple staying next door in the farmhouse sound as though they were inside the cottage with us and going up and down the cottage stairs). The cottage had just about everything we needed, and there were lots of pheasants about to entertain us with their antics. The biggest issue was the wi-fi, which was provided via a router extender located in the farmhouse next door. When we arrived we could only get a stable connection in the main bedroom but after a couple of requests to Lucy the extender was moved nearer to the cottage so the signal reached as far as the house bathroom upstairs and the dining room downstairs, albeit with a speed way below the 50+ mbps stated on the website.

Beautiful location

Lovely location, although on the flight path to Stansted! The house was relatively clean, we did find a couple of stray socks behind the TV unit. Property didn't have a hair dryer which would have been useful & the WiFi wasn't up to much. Apart from that had everything you need

Lovely cottage home from home

Stayed for 3 nights for a wedding at the castle and loved every minute of it. Such a beautiful little cottage inside and out, very clean, a home from home. Everything you could need, the garden is beautiful and so relaxing, make sure to sit out and watch the little bats in the evening. Brilliant location. Would highly recommend!

Country getaway

As described, the property is nicely appointed with plenty of storage, and an outside area to sit and have a drink, or play with young children. It’s quiet and peaceful and in many ways an ideal getaway for some family time. However, the issue for our group was that the listing didn’t indicate that the two double bedrooms are conjoined: you access the main double with en-suite through the other double room. For a single family of parents and children this wouldn’t be a problem, but for two couples it wasn’t ideal.

Beautiful country setting in wonderful cottage

Beautiful scenery, lovely cosy cottage and peaceful setting. We have loved our time here and don’t want to go home!! Brought 2 teenage girls with us and it was great they could be at one end of the cottage and us at the other, very peaceful for us!! Our little dog had a fabulous time watching the gates run through the field. Great to be at one with nature!! Great place to stay.

Christmas at Orchard Cottage

What a fabulous place to get away from it all. Very clean and well appointed property. We had a great Christmas break and the turkey was excellent. Would certainly consider staying here again.
