We met a couple of dear friends in Quebec City and shared this apartment with them. It worked out quite well - we loved the location (near beautiful gardens on the Plain of Abraham) - the apartment was clean and pretty well equipped – the layout worked quite well – comfortable living and dining area, and nice bedrooms and baths (a bit snug, with a sloping ceiling that presents some challenges if you’re tall) for each of us. It was nice to have A/C in the public parts of the apartment – but we did miss it in the bedrooms. The washers/dryers in the basement that are available after 5 pm were useful for us, too, but I guess they don’t get used too often, since they were full of the property’s linens when we went to use them. The host, Nina, helped solve that problem and overall was quite excellent – very responsive and informative.

Beautiful House in Beautiful Quebec City

There is no city in North America like Quebec City. And staying at Les Maisons Montcalm with its history and charm was great. We had 5 of us, my wife and I, my 85-year-old mother, and 2 teens, and it was a very comfortable stay. The location is so GREAT! You are literally half a block from an entire block with over a dozen restaurants. We walked down the hill to the main part of Old Quebec and the Citadel, it was really nice. The apartment is very well furnished and clean. It had everything we needed. Entry was really easy with the digital entry, so no need for keys. Communication was as near immediate as it could have been. We were really happy there. One note is that the ceilings in the bathroom are low, so if you're over 6 feet tall, you might want to ask for one of the other apartments in the building. It wasn't a problem for us. We would definitely come back and stay again!

This is a review for the third floor unit.The good: The property is well situated near the old Quebec City, 5 mins walk. The unit is well maintained and clean. Host was also friendly. The bad: the amenities are showing they age, and we found stains on bedsheets and towels. It was late at night when we arrived so we didn't bother to contact the host but thought that's an area to improve on. Being in the city, lights (and noise) come through the window blinds / doors so please note if you are a light sleeper.Overall: 8/10

Exceptional location

We were in Quebec City for an event and wanted to stay in the old city. This apartment is located on a very quiet street across from the Plains of Abraham with lovely gardens and beautiful homes, Well worth the stay and a lot better than a hotel.

What a Location!

The place was very clean, was well equipped and had a lot of charm. It was great each day knowing you had a parking space. And what a location! The Plains of Abraham right outside the door and at least a dozen restaurants within a five minute walk plus only a 10 minute walk to Old Town QC. Would stay there again!

Great stay in Quebec city

The apartment was perfectly located for everything. The best restaurants are just around the corner and everything we wanted to see was within easy walking distance. We enjoyed having a common area to meet and visit in and the space was utilized well.

Wonderful apartment with interesting architectural details, lots of light and nice furniture. The host was very friendly and responsive. The neighborhood is nice and close to both the park and the Cartier street restaurants. Parking is very convenient. Be advised that it’s a third floor walk up apartment and, although there are two bathrooms, they are both somewhat small. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future.

Lovely 3rd floor flat.

Very comfortable flat 1/2 block from the Plains of Abraham and right off the Grand Allee with access to restaurants and short walk to Old City. Two comfortable bedrooms and two smallish full baths.we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fabulous location

Everything about this place was great. We really appreciated the Quebec information binder that was provided. My only negative was that there was no soup pot available to cook pasta. We had to use 2 tiny sauce pans instead.

Christmas trip

We had a great time here. Short walk to everything in old town. Christmas decorations were beautiful in town; festive atmosphere. We appreciated the Christmas tree in the unit and the decorations on the porch, too. Unit was as described.

Fall Getaway in Quebec

My husband and my best friend stayed at this property Oct. 10-13, 2024. It is next to a large park where you can walk to the Citadel and the Old Town area. It is also convenient to a Main Street that has many good to great restaurants (but you must always make reservations). My issue with this old house is that there are more steps up to the 3rd floor living space (which is a converted attic) than I realized. I have knee issues and it was hard to go up and down the stairs and harder still with luggage. It was nice to have a common space to gather and plan out our daily activities. Unfortunately the beds were not comfortable and squeaked, and the shower leaked out the sides so there was lots of water on the floor after a shower no matter how I tried to prevent it. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes and we used our own coffee in the morning. All in all, the location of this VRBO is super and I would stay here again only if I could get the first floor apartment.
