What extra precautions are you taking as a host to helps stop the spread of COVID-19 in your rental?
Our guest and staff safety is our number one priority! We closed our unit from March 30 - December 1st to ensure the safety of our guest and staff. We are spacing out guest arrival and check outs by 24 hours and disinfecting high traffic areas such as door knobs, remotes, keys, counters, appliances, etc., with CDC approved sanitizers and wipes. If there is anything else we can do to help you feel more comfortable during your stay, please let us know!
Is Marina Cabo Plaza close to restaurants and bars?
Yes! You are in the heart of Cabo San Lucas and can walk to everything Cabo has to offer in minutes. Restaurants, bars, malls, movie theatre and much more are literally right outside the lobby door!
Do I need to rent a car?
No! You can walk to the main beach, famous landmarks like Cabo Wabo, The Office, Squid Roe, markets and much more! If you book an activity, most of them pick you up right at the hotel. Should you decide to rent a car, we offer free on-site parking.
Is Marina Cabo Plaza safe? Do they speak English?
Yes! We have 24 hour security and key access gates and elevators. Plus all rooms are on the second floor and above. Yes! We speak English. You wonât have any language barriers to overcome during your stay in all of Cabo!
Does the hotel have a pool, spa, or gym?
No, but there are many day-pool clubs such as the ME Hotel and Breathless Hotel, as well as spas and gym passes at nearby hotels.
What time is check-in and check-out? Are late arrivals permitted?
Check-in is 3:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am. There will be a late check out fee of $50.00 if not previously arranged before departure. We have someone in the lobby 24 hrs a day, should your travels be delayed for any reason. Just let us know ahead of time if you are scheduled to arrive later than 9:00 pm so we hold your room for you.
Do you have wireless internet access?
Yes! We recently installed a router in the room at no additional charge to you! Unlike some of the rooms at Marina Cabo Plaza that claim to have wifi, itâs actually the wifi only accessible down in the lobby.
Is there a minimum night stay?
Yes, there is a minimum three night on non-holiday dates. Major holidays is a three to five night minimum.
Is there daily maid service?
In order to keep our prices low, we only offer a mid-week cleaning for five or more night reservations. If you run out of amenities during your stay such as complimentary shampoo, soap, etc., there is a mini mart on the first floor where you can purchase any essential items.
Does the room have a kitchen? Is there room service or restaurants?
There is a full size refrigerator, microwave/convection oven combo, toaster, blender, two burner hot pad, dishware, cookware, Tupperware and Nestle coffee pod machine. The resort does not offer room service, but there are five restaurants on the property and dozens of places to eat very early to very late just outside the lobby on the marina!
Am I renting from the hotel or an owner directly?
You are renting from an owner directly that manages all aspects of your stay including check-in, check-out, housekeeping and any issues that may arise 24 hours a day.
What do you mean by âno cleaning feeâ and âno 16% hotel taxâ?
We pay the check-out cleaning fee of $50.00 that the some other units charge their guest upon check-out. Why should you have to pay to clean our room?! Most of the units are American, Canadian and Mexican owned and some do not pay the IVA Mexican hotel tax of 16% and city tax of 3% but choose to charge you anyway. Itâs a dishonest way to make more money and seems legitimate to the guest since all the major hotels collect this upon booking. We are a legally run American owned Mexican Corporation that pays these taxes from the rental income and do not add it onto your nightly rental cost. When we say âno hidden costsâ we mean NO hidden costs!
How many people can the room sleep?
It can sleep two people comfortably. There is a bed and a full size sofa sleeper couch with extra linens provided.
Do you allow smoking in the room? On the property?
For the comfort of our non-smoking guests, we do not allow smoking of any kind inside the room including e-cigs, but smoking is permitted on the terrace attached to the room and around the hotel. Please clean up after your smoking to avoid an additional cleaning disposal fee.
Can I bring my pet?
We love pets! But unfortunately, Marina Cabo Plaza has a strict no pets policy for owners and hotel guests. Mexico does not recognize support animals without the Mexican certification and seal from the government, therefore, they do not have to honor American support animal paperwork. Reservations with service dogs will be refused at check-in.
Do you allow âSpring Breakersâ at Marina Cabo Plaza?
No! We have a minimum age to check in of 23 years old. Marina Cabo Plaza is not a party hotel. Our goal is give you and other guests of the resort a relaxing, enjoyable stay. We have a strict no tolerance policy and will remove any âSpring Breakersâ with no refunds.
