Du kan inte komma till Mount Dora utan att gå in till stan för att handla, äta eller njuta av nattlivet. Njut av en lätt 5-7 minuters promenad till stad där ingen bil är nödvändigt.

Detta vackra hus med en fantastisk vardagsrum som innehåller en vilstol, stolar, soffa och LCD-TV. Den separata matsalen är värd ett bord som rymmer 6.

Lovely Thanksgiving Weekend

The Rocking Chair property was in a perfect location to enjoy downtown Mount Dora. The location is walkable to town and was comfortable for our Thanksgiving weekend.

Perfect Location

We are storytellers, involved with the Florida Storytelling Festival in Mount Dora. This sweet house was a quarter mile from where we needed to be. The accommodations were spot on, everything worked well, the beds were comfortable, and our host could not have been more helpful. Loved it!

Wonderful Home, wonderful neighborhood

We have stayed in this home once before & loved it. It is a great home, with plenty of room & everything you need is provided. The neighborhood is the perfect location for walking, shopping, & restaurants. Very quiet & peaceful.

Charming Cottage Ner Downtown Mt. Dora

Our stay in Rocking Chair Cottage was lovely. The cottage is in great proximity to downtown. Wendy had so many special little touches... especially loved the Christmas decorations around the cottage. Great layout with super comfortable beds.

Great House and Location

House was on a nice quiet street and only about a 5 minute walk to downtown! Very spacious and well-maintained, comfortable beds, and nicely decorated. Hope to come back again.

Excellent Location in a Lovely Neighborhood

Walking distance to town, restaurants and Lake. Everything you could need, even welcome snacks. Clean and homey feeling. Owner was very accessible amd nice Weekend! We will definitely book again!

Perfect location and Super cute house

Stayed here over the weekend with family to attend/work the Renaissance Fair. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. After long days on our feet, we enjoyed nice showers, a comfy living room to spend time together, and very comfortable beds to recharge for the next day. The house was clean and inviting. We felt very at home here. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Home in a Perfect Location

July 2017 - We went to Mt. Dora for a girls getaway. This home suited all our needs. It was charming with big rooms, a relaxing living room & great dinning & kitchen area. We were within walking distance to the town & enjoyed everything Mt Dora had to offer, including the Segway Tour (Highky Recommend!) Thank you for your Hospitality!

Family Get Together

This spacious, well-appointed home is very close to downtown Mt Dora, which makes for pleasant morning and afternoon walks. Wendy, the owner, was in contact with us for whatever our needs might be. We had none because she covered all the bases and then some because this wasn't the typical walk in the door and then run to Publix. She had snacks, and water, coffee creamer, the works. So after our long ride we could relax and enjoy the evening.

Absolutely the best

Could not have had a better stay. This house is perfect if you want to stroll around Mt. Dora. You'll have everything you need, too if you want to stay home. I appreciated having a little wiggle room with extra towels and cleaning products. The neighborhood is quiet and great for sitting outside. Wendy is the kind of host that short term rentals were in the beginning. You get the feeling of being welcomed into a home. Just the best.

The Rocking Chair Cottage is a lovely house and has a very nice layout. It is decorated nicely and has everything you could want for your stay. It is just a couple of blocks to the downtown area. My friend, Melanie, and I enjoyed our stay. Wendy was a wonderful hostess and checked in to be sure we were settled in ok and that all was going well. At the end of our stay there was a severe weather event and Wendy made sure that we were informed of certain conditions. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to visit beautiful Mt. Dora.

The house was awesome. Loved the split plan with the master bedroom on the other side of the house. The kitchen had everything you will ever need including water in the refrigerator and a goodie basket which we munched on. We rocked on the front porch and used the fireplace in the evenings. Will diffently go back again

The home was very clean and neat. The bedrooms were more than adequate for 4 adults. The home is stocked with every kind of cooking vessel you would need if you like to cook and just hang out for quiet day. The very comfortable rocking chairs on the front porch just seem to call out your name. The home is only steps away from all the shopping, eating, and bout excursions. The Host is extremely quick to answer your calls if you have questions or alert her if something is wrong. Next time we visit the area we will definitely check availability for this home.

Perfect!!

Location-Perfect. 3 blocks from Mt Dora. Fireworks visible from front yard. Home-Perfect. Clean, plenty of room, comfortable beds, plenty of tv’s, well stocked kitchen, great grill, plenty of snacks and a welcome sign from the host. AC cold. Hosts-Perfect. Reached out several times with immediate and helpful responses. Perfect choice for our 5 day visit. Definitely recommend to any visiting this lovely area.

Convenient and delightful

We’re stayed at many VRBOs in Mt. Dora over the years but none better. House is as advertised and just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and parks downtown. We just got home and already looking forward to another stay.

Although we use to live in Orlando, we always wanted to move to Mt. Dora. With the purchase of a vacation home in 2011 and visiting the town on the weekends we soon decided to move to this delightful little town in 2012.

Although Mt Dora has a small town feel, that has been frozen in time, within 2 miles from the heart of town are all the modern restaurants, grocery stores and shops. We love to visit the light house for Sunset and it’s always so nice to be able to walk into town and not have to worry about parking.

We now live in the first home we purchased, which is in the historic downtown district and are available for any assistance you may need.

We love to shop and dine in downtown Mt Dora and it wouldn’t be unusual to run into us if your there. Don’t hesitate to contact us for the best kept secrets of town.
