Dramatisk hÄllbar hus avsett för avslappnad hoilday uppehÀlle genom Mapleton lokal Philip Boorman som har mÄnga utmÀrkelser för hans enastÄende arkitektoniska verk och moderna möbler design.

Ligger pÄ brant i mitten av 125 tunnland. Denna privilegierade isolering har gjort huset konstruktion öppnas till volymen av det omgivande privata utrymmet genom den omfattande anvÀndningen av trÀhus bi-faldig dörrar och fönster. Solpaneler genererar strömförsörjningen och tak vatten samlas i tankar för filtrerad ÄteranvÀndning i hemmet.

NÀr John Seccombe fÄtt mark genom urvalsprocessen 1904 den ursprungliga översiktsplan för dagen noterade att \ "All landet hÀr pÄ visas Àr av en extremt tÄlig och Broken natur. \" Denna karga landskapet har skyddat omrÄde frÄn intrÄng av underavdelningar i över 100 Är, vilket ger flora och fauna med i stort sett ostört omrÄde för arter som anges som hotade, sÄsom Coxen Fig-Parrot och Regent Honey eater \ 's att frodas.

Such a welcoming and relaxing place to stay. Our second visit and we will definitely be back. The house is stylish and comfortable, and very pet-friendly. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the location is hard to beat - quiet, secluded and yet close to restaurants, shops, and relaxing walks.

Gorgeous place to stay with our family & dog. The Mapleton Pub is a must-visit for dinner - the food is incredible! We also ventured out to Kenilworth, Maleny, and Montville during our stay.The kids enjoyed collecting kindling and venturing around the property with the dog. We treated the kids to watching DVD's supplied by the hosts (we had little to no phone reception/internet connection). Would highly recommend this place to families, couples, and people wanting to travel with pets.

The photos on the website, good as they are, do not do the property justice.The house is in a stunning location. The house is also beautifully designed and has a very homely feel about it. My husband and I love this property so peaceful with stunning views of the Obi ObI Valley. I am from UK coming as a fiancee for the first time to Australia in 1987, to have a exciting adventure in this Great Southland. My husband is from PNG born of missionary parents. We met in Israel working on a kibbutz back in 1985. My husband has worked in horticulture all his life and he is most interested in native endemic to the area. Many birds visit, a red browed finch got caught behind a painting in the lounge room the other day at the lodge. The lodge has been a part of his work for 20 years. We took over managing the lodge thos year as Michael and Robyn retired after 17 years

The 1km driveway is part of the Great Walks with a track down to Baxter's Falls. It takes you into another world. A wonderful escape from city life! Turn off your phones and devices and drink it in.

The property is most unique with no other homes in view you are in the beautiful bush, which the house is a part of. It is an exceptional design that has a wonderful outdoor feel as you open the bi-fold windows and doors and take in the scenery.
