The property doesn't suit fishermen as you are not to fillet fish on site, & getting vehicles out was challenging at times.The host was very friendly & helpful & would recommend this type of accommodation for general holidaying folk (not guests looking for a fishing adventure).

Loved our Holiday

The property was exactly what we expected and made a great base for our family to explore the island, with no flash bells and whistles just a comfortable place to come home to each night. Bree was a great host and very quick to respond to any questions before and during our stay. Will definitely book here again.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay, having been camping on the island for several years - staying in the house was much easier. The house was clean with everything we needed. Happy Valley is a great central location. Thanks Bree.

Fishing trip

The cabin was all we expected & more and the location couldn't be more perfect. Bree was a perfect host who couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. We will definitely return in the future.

Happy Vallet Cottage

We have a wonderful stay. Bree was very welcoming. The cottage had everything we needed, though we forgot to bring Tea towels.

Just what we needed on vacation

The apartment is excellently located and has everything you need precisely. Our stay was very pleasant and suited us just right for the vacation. Bree the hostess was available and helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations. Thanks alot, hopefully wll come back

Not suitable for habitation

The property was advertised as a beach shack. It was a 50 year old fibro building with limited access to electricity. It was dirty, with wood rot and peeling paint. The bed was ridiculous, and the offer of a few bits of foam from the renter was a joke. It took three days to work out how to get a hot shower adequately. There is not way this property would meet any building codes and should not be put up for rent. And it was not cheap, so price was not the issue.

The cottage is very clean and tidy , bree was a delight from the moment we arrived so helpful, the cottage had everything we needed ,if we go to the island again I will not hesitate to stay there again. Thx.

Definitely our go to.

Our second stay at Brees cottage this year. Suited us perfectly because we just needed a little place that was comfortable for the two of us and had easy access to the beach. Bree is so friendly and cannot do enough for you. More than happy to stay there again. Definitely our go to.

Off Grid Delight

We enjoyed our off grid stay at the cottage. The cottage is exactly as described. Very clean and tidy and has all required basics for a relaxing getaway. Bree was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Hidden gem!

An oldie but a goodie! 🌴🌿 What an amazing private little piece of paradise, with walking access less than 5 mins to the beach, No drive by cars so very safe for the kids even with a sneaky ocean view to enjoy our happy hour drinks each afternoon. Loved our stay and will be back again. Thanks Bree for sharing your little hidden gem.

No doors, tiny rooms, no real entertaining area. To be fair, it is an old property and for its age I guess it did the job. We were not aware it would be soo small with no doors and snoring kept us all up. It was clean and usable.

Good location. Property manager Bree is very helpful and friendly. Cottage is clean and comfortable enough however some ceiling fans would be appreciated as it gets very hot at night with no breeze. Good fridge and separate chest freezer to keep your food cold. Could not get the oven or grill to work and was frustrated there were no tongs anywhere we could find, otherwise cuutlery and dishes selection good and BBQ cooked well enough. Would stay again but next time I'll bring a fan.

Nice hub with all the basics .

Clean, very simple, the owner very helpful and comunicative. Exactly as described . If you like to disconect, this is the perfect place. Only Telstra works but hard to get coneccion ervey where on the island.
