Magpie Creek Thoroughbred Farmstay Family Unit

Denna vackert renoverade bondgård med bondgård har 2 fristående enheter, var och en med högbackade klofotbad, möbler i kolonial stil, vardagsrum och matplats.

Familjenheten rymmer upp till 8 personer - sovrummet queen size-säng, barnrum - 4 enkelsängar och lounge - dubbelsäng. Enheten har också kök och badrum.

Familjenheten börjar vid $ 155 per natt.

Huset är omgivet av 55 hektar, du kan gå busk promenader eller bara slappna av på verandan med utsikt över fastigheten. Den 15 meter långa poolen är mycket inbjudande.

Vi är idealiskt beläget nära de lokala vingårdarna och många konst- och hantverksgallerier i området Tamborine / Canungra. Du kanske gillar att bara promenera runt Canungra township, eller gå på en dagstur till O'Reillys och göra trädgången.

Ägare av fastigheten bor på plats.

Det finns gott om att göra runt Canungra-dalen och Guldkusten ligger bara 40 minuter bort

Ridning kan bokas för dig med Thunderbird Park eller Gumnuts ridningskomplex - båda är bara 10 minuter från vår egendom.

Om du är en tidig startare kan du gå till spåret med Steve och se hästarna gå igenom sina steg - men du måste vara uppe på 4 a. m.

Magpie Creek Farmstay är hemmet för upp och kommande racehästar, liksom unga föl som lär spelet. Utbildad av fastighetsägaren Steve Field, lär dessa hästar att gå på avstånd

Gästerna är också välkomna att komma och mata hästarna tidigt på morgonen och igen på ca 4p. m. på eftermiddagen älskar barnen att göra det här, fyller foderhinkarna, lär sig om hästarna och kastar ut hö.

Fodertid på gården

Det finns kycklingar att mata - ägg att samla in och om du är riktigt energisk, är du välkommen att hjälpa till att mata de 26 hästarna på morgonen och på eftermiddagen.

Det här kan vara mycket roligt för hela familjen.

Medan du går genom paddorna som matar hästarna, kommer du att se massor av ankor och fåglar som alla kommer ner för att äta med hästarna.

För de gäster som bara vill koppla av, kommer du njuta av att sitta på däck, läsa en bok och titta på barnen simma i poolen.

Och om du vill ha lite motion, tar en promenad uppför backen och tillbaka ner igen ca 20 minuter och är perfekt för att komma tillbaka till naturen.

A beautiful farm stay

We had a wonderful stay! The kids loved helping with the horses and chickens. There is so much to do on this beautiful property and plenty of space for everyone in the house. We would love to come and stay again, hopefully for longer next time!

Not quite what we expected

The property was generally very tidy, clean linen. We expected the accommodation to be more stand alone but was part of a larger house that had been divided into 3 units. With the Family Unit in the corner between two others, we were able to hear conversations, a very yappy small dog and smell food cooking, and the toilet flush on the other side of the wall. The water pump from the tank was right outside our room so any water requirements of the property caused the electric pump to go on and off throughout the night. The bathroom had only a bath with hand held shower head which is difficult if you have any mobility issues.

Farm Stay Love!

Steve and Jenny were fantastic hosts. The kids loved all the animals, helping feed the horses and collecting sticks from around the farm to use in the outdoor chimnea fire pit for toasting marshmallows! With all the activities at Tambourine Mountain just a short drive away, this was a perfect place to come back and relax.

Relaxee and recharged

Our families had a wonderful time relaxing at Jenny and Steve's farm. The kids loved swimming and feeding the horses, and we were close to some amazing day trip locations. Jenny and Steve are the best hosts as well, couldn't find a nicer couple

Lovely spot, limited amenities

We enjoyed our time at this property. The kids loved the farm and being around all the animals. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. The property was comfortable but lacking some basic amenities. There are little to no cooking facilities- only a bbq, microwave and electric frypan. Dinner was difficult to cook. There is no shower, only a bath. The bedding was not really warm enough considering the cold nights. But we still enjoyed the couple of days we had there.

Farm stay with horses

We had a fabulous time. The children (6 + 8) helped feed the chickens, let them out and put them to bed every day as well as collect the eggs. We all helped feed and look after the horses, which was a wonderful and educational experience. Our hosts were so welcoming and we all loved it. Planning to return later this year.

A place to stay

We stayed for two nights and Jenny the host is lovely. However, there is no shower hook for the shower hose in the bath room and it is within a claw foot bath tub which is difficult to get in and out of. There is also no shower screen so that made showering very difficult for all of us. We understand the property is on tank water and didn’t want to fill up the bath. There was no oven, but there was a microwave that was quite small and couldn’t really fit anything to cook a meal for a family. There was no outdoor seating except for two chairs around the pool and these were quite uncomfortable. Another seating area outside would’ve been really nice with cushion and chairs preferably. We stayed in the family unit and the gap between the wardrobe and the bed was so tight that I could barely get in and out. This is a beautiful old Homestead, but it needs some TLC, some cleaning, some more appliances, and perhaps a little bit more comfort. The host was very welcoming and we were so happy to be able to bring our dog with us. We paid $40+ to have our dogs day, but there was no bed provided and really only a single dog bowl. Thankfully we brought our own portable bowls and his bed from home. There is a beautiful outlook from the balcony, however the couches were very dirty and the furniture are very dated and uncomfortable. It was lovely seeing the free range chickens and also being able to see the horses walking around. and electric gate at the front of the property would be really helpful and prevent us having to get in an out of the car every time we’re going and coming and also some other creature comforts along the way. All in all it was just a place to stay for us whilst we were visiting family, but it was not comfortable enough or close enough to various places in order to really relax and enjoy your stay. I would recommend it for people who are just on the go and need somewhere to stay overnight however, I can’t imagine having stayed any longer than the two nights that we spent there as none of us really got much sleep and were constantly finding it hard to get comfortable in the chairs provided. I travelled with my husband and two teenage children and this was sadly the experience of all of us. Having said all of that however, the price was good and we were happy with our stay in general.

Fantastic Farmstay

Dad and 4 little chicks getaway

Stayed for 3 nights with my 4 daughters ranging in age from 5-10yo. We felt welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. Our hosts Jenny and Steve, were super accommodating, taking the girls and I along to collect eggs, play with the dogs and feed the horses, whilst answering countless (at times repetitive) questions along the way without missing a beat! On top of that, the general area provided plenty of “outdoorsy” activities for us all to enjoy, within 10-15min from our accommodation. I have been endlessly quizzed since leaving, as to when we will going back again!

A lovely stay

Our group of friends and family loved staying here. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained including horses, chickens and the informative and friendly hosts, Jenny and Steve, and also a pool! The place is cosy and charming. We loved how it is decorated with the history of the owner's various race horses. It was a short drive to local attractions, perfect for our needs.
