Detta Àr den perfekta privata gömstÀlle. BelÀget bland de buskklÀdda sluttningarna av Te Wahapu-halvön, utan grannar i sikte, intill ett expansivt bushreservat med vacker utsikt, rikligt fÄgeliv och bara 7 km frÄn den historiska Russell Township.
Kanuka Loft Àr en mycket lugn och fridfull miljö. Ett fantastiskt stÀlle att komma och göra ingenting, men med allt Islands Bay har att erbjuda.
Loftet ligger ovanför en stor nedlagt timmerlada. Byggt med handfrÀsat trÀ har det omfattande dÀck för utomhusliv. Den öppna vardags- och matplatsen Àr rymlig och bekvÀm med ett fullt utrustat kök. Det finns tvÄ sovrum, ett med en dubbelsÀng och det andra med tvÄ singlar. Det finns en vÀrmepump för vintern, en tvÀttstuga och gott om parkering.
Obs: TilltrÀde till loftet sker endast via den yttre trappan - bottenvÄningen Àr obebodd och loftet Àr byggnadens andra nivÄ.

Highly recommend

We loved our stay at the loft. It’s even better than the pictures. A cosy place to stay in winter and would be beautiful and airy in summer. Short drive from Russel. Would love to come and stay again!

Spacious, relaxing and beautiful view too!

This is just what we were looking for! It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great and we enjoyed the peaceful serenity and amazing views including some spectacular sunsets! A very much appreciated break away from a busy life.

Tranquil Getaway

Lovely private spot amongst the trees with sea views. This is a great spot if you need a recharge but also very convenient if you want to partake in all the activities the area has to offer. Thank you!

Serenity

Peaceful property, surrounded by beautiful birdsong. This is the place to come to heal your soul and recover from city stresses. Early evening sun coming in gives plenty of time for book reading. Very highly recommended.

Relaxation at its best!

Stunning views, excellent location with privacy whilst less than 10 mins drive to Russell. Kanuka Loft is a relaxing and rejuvenating space in a fantastic area.

Utterly blissful

Very highly recommendable property. The view, the privacy and the birdsong make this place very special. The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. We were welcomed by Anna and Dave who live just down the hill and were very helpful and accomodating. We enjoyed the local bush tracks and the drive to Russell was very quick and easy. This place is a find !

Amazing view and location, beautiful place to stay

We had such a lovely stay, the view is incredible and the house is very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Being located in such a peaceful setting but close still to Russell, we felt very relaxed when we left and wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back :)

'A PERFECT HIDEAWAY'

Just lovely. Very welcoming and relaxing. The views are great and beautiful bush all around. Like I say The Perfect Hideaway. Laundry facilities would have been good. Loved our stay and felt sad leaving.

The perfect retreat

A beautifully appointed boutique property surrounded by native bush and stunning sea views. The Loft was well equiped with all the amenities and a fully functioning kitchen. Loved the relaxing vibe and bird song. Would highly recommend.

Secluded Beautiful Property

We turned off the road onto a drive that filled us with anticipation. We arrived at The Loft and were not disappointed. A wonderful upper floor setting with a split level rear balcony giving excellent views. You feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere. Very well appointed and clean - we had everything we needed. Russell is a short drive away and a very interesting place with walk trails, museum and some excellent restaurants cafes. We visited early March. Used the car ferry to Opua a few times - no waiting although could anticipate that may be different in peak season. Have no hesitation in highly recommending this property. As indicated in description there are external steps / stairs to access this property and once inside lounge level to bedrooms / WC are also on a split level.

Hi - We are Anna and Dave. We love the Bay of Islands and have enjoyed sharing Kanuka Loft with visiting guests for the past 20 years.
We milled the timber and built the building ourselves.
Being surrounded by a large scenic reserve we have become involved in local kiwi protection, pest control and replanting.
Hopefully you will hear one of our Kiwi's call during the nights.
