Peaceful retreat

Such a great quiet location. The cottage has everything you would need. Lots of towels and comfortable bed. Well laid out living room. And the view is stunning. A big bonus are all of the outdoor seating areas - some with propane fire pits totally for your use. I travel for work and always stay here as can chill and prepare my own meal after a long day. The place is totally spotless

Outstanding Rental

From the moment you pull up to the first view to the water inside the cabin, it’s outstanding. The pictures really don’t do it justice, as great as they are. The views from this property are nothing short of remarkable! The cabin had everything we needed, was very clean, was extremely comfortable and quiet. The waterfront patios are so private and relaxing to spend time on. We enjoyed every minute! It was awesome to have use of the kayaks! Really calm bay to paddle in and easy beachfront access. We enjoyed watching the seals and otters every day and even caught a bald eagle on camera one morning. Sue was an exceptional host who responded so quickly to every question and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit with her! She was so welcoming and accommodating. We can’t wait to return one day and highly recommend Sue’s rental! Thanks for everything, Sue! Until next time.

Amazing Stay

Its truly a luxury experience. This place has everything you need for a relaxing getaway and more. The location near the water is unbeatable. The view is amazing especially coupled with gas firepits, or real wood firepit on the lower level. We had a wonderful time here 2nd time and would book again.

Not as Advertised - Even Better!

We were delighted to discover Sue's stunning sea-side retreat, which is a private, self contained beach house perched on a bluff with unobstructed views of Ladysmith Harbour and surrounding islands. The location is perfect for exploring mid or south Vancouver Island. The accommodation is well-appointed, with many thoughtful details and extras - we immediately felt at home and never in need of anything. The property has exceptional amenities - two ocean-front seating areas with fire pits to enjoy sunsets and star gazing, and multiple seating areas for lounging, sun-bathing, yoga etc. There is a shed at water level that is stocked with kayaks, life jackets, and stand up paddle (SUP) boards. The property is easy to access, and has convenient off-street parking. Sue was friendly and responsive. We will be back!

Perfect Accommodation With Views

Not a single detail was overlooked in this stunning vacation getaway rental. All needs were addressed including a welcome bottle of wine. The interior was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Choose from an array of different locations on the amazing multi level private concrete decks that overlook the water. We enjoyed watching for wildlife in the water, especially the family of sea otters that were entertaining. Spectacular sunrise views. We will be back.

Couldn’t ask for more

Everything advertised about this stay was underrated. This place gets 10 of 10 stars. It ticked off every box and became the peaceful joyful getaway that one dreams about. The great weather and stunning sunrises and full moons on cloudless nights added to the mystique. Thank you Sue for providing a wonderful stay.

Perfect cozy cabin

If you want to be on a cliff overlooking the water with nothing I. Your view but ocean - then this is the perfect place. The various terraces down to the ocean provide so many awesome seating areas depending on your mood. Sit by the fire in the evening and watch the sun set. I was on a quick work trip and it was nice to come back to a place like home. Thank you!

Perfect home base for a trip to Vancouver Island

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to the island and this property very much. The cabin was very clean and well-appointed. We appreciated the sunrises over the water and the complimentary use of the kayaks. We were easily able to take day trips to Victoria, Parksville, and Port Renfrew, returning to the cabin before dark each time. We enjoyed a show at Chemainus Theatre and all of our meals at restaurants in nearby Chemainus and Ladysmith. Overall, it was a lovely trip. Thank you to Sue for her hospitality.

Every thing was just perfect

The host Sue was just great and attentive to our needs. View is magnificient. The cabin is magical. Furniture top rate. Linens superbe. Every was over the top. The set up outside is unreal. Beautiful. Would definately recommend this place

Amazing rental

There aren’t enough good words to say about this very special rental! Everything was perfect from the host Sue, to the very tasteful decor, cleanliness, location and stunning views! The photos are wonderful but it is even nicer than the photos if you can imagine. Hope to be back sometime!

Glorious

Glorious 6 day stay at Sue's beautiful property which is right on the ocean with luxurious and private accommodation. Lovely Sue was there to greet and welcome us upon arrival. Quick drive to Chemainus, Ladysmith and Duncan were fun to explore too. Our overall stay was fabulous and will definitely want to stay again!

Amazing amazing vacation property!

Everything was perfect, better than the listing shows. Nothing more could be wished for here: amazing cabin, and endless ocean views from several vantage seating/relaxing spots. Will be back - again & again!! This vacation cabin will exceed anyone’s expectations.

A magical sea side get away

This place is everything!! Just outside of the cute town of "Ladysmith" BC the interior is beautiful, very modern and all the finest amenities. We spent most of the time outside on the multitude terraces. From a real wood fire pit on the bottom level where you can watch the tides come and go to the covered swing in the middle, to the propane fireplace on the top deck which is perfectly covered by a gazebo. It's all.amazing and Sue was a wonderful host. Would 100000% stay here again

Wow ! Just amazing location and host!!

Host was great, answered questions and requests very quickly. This location and Amenities were Wonderful, and close to lots of the small communities with great places to eat and shop. It’s truly was a home away from home and it will be going on my repeat get away list! Sue our host was very friendly and accommodating, we will be sharing this listing our best friends & family!!

Luxury by the sea

So close to the water you see the whiskers on the daily visits of the harbour seal. I hope he was more successful at fishing than me. Ideal location to relax.
