Det ligger inbäddat på 1. 30 tunnland på en blindväg. Beläget mellan centrum av Jim Thorpe och JFBB skidområdet. Forsränning som ligger inom några minuter från hemmet. Vackert landskap, lugnt och lugnt läge. We had a wonderful stay! Check in was super easy and Jen was great to communicate with. The house and is beautiful and was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked and I was easily able to cook for the family. And the property was private and so peaceful, but we were still close to things to do. I would definitely recommend this property and host!

Beautiful nicely appointed house and property, very private and nestled in the woods.15 minute drive to Jim Thorpe proper, 25 minute drive to Hickory Run State Park, 35 minute drive to Lehigh Gorge state park. We have stayed at many vacation rentals and the Boarding Bear Chalet is up there with the best of them. Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. Great hosts!

Golf Getaway with the Boys

Spent a long weekend at this great property to catch up with a few friends from high school, play golf at some of the awesome courses the Poconos has to offer, and have a relaxing home to BBQ and have campfires. This property checks all the boxes and we had a blast. Jennifer is very easy to communicate with and responsive and we look forward to future stays at her home!

Perfect family getaway

The location was perfect for our family trip. The kids loved the lake, we spent all day there and even had the beach all to ourselves one day. Each of our 3 nights we built a fire and the surrounding was ideal. We explored the trail down the creek as well. The house was well maintained and great space for our needs.

Great property surrounded by nature

Awesome place. Loved relaxing by the fire in the evenings and having morning coffee on the deck. The house was very clean and had lots of games for the kids and adults. Close to rafting and hickory run state park but secluded and surrounded by nature.

Location is beautiful

The communication with the owner exceeded expectations. The house in a really nice location. The driveway was a bit steeper than I imagined but once the snow was gone it was no problem for three different types of vehicles we had. The house was as described - photos reflected exactly. Also the front steps had ice/snow melters installed which I thought was fantastic.

Lovely short getaway

We had a wonderful time at the house. It is such a cool place and our kids really enjoyed the game room downstairs. Location is awesome. Weather didn't work out for us, but the house was such a nice place to just hang out and relax. Owners were super easy to reach if anything came up!

Plenty of space to relax

Between the large deck, comfy living room, long kitchen table, and incredible game room and bar downstairs, there's a ton of space to relax and have fun. The teens in particular enjoyed the basement with its pool table and bunk beds. Jen was extraordinarily quick with responses before and during our stay, even when she was on her own vacation.

Peaceful Getaway

Our family loves this place! For two years now we have gone over Thanksgiving and it was such a peaceful, quiet place to get away. There is plenty of room for our big family to spread out when we need space, hang out together in the rec area or go for walks and see deer and foxes. Our boys loved walking to different fishing sites either behind the house or at the lake. Jennifer was a great host who was quick to get back to us when we had questions. We will definitely be back in the years to come!

Presidents Day long weekend

We had a fun weekend staying in this house. 6 little girls loved the bunk beds in the basement. They enjoyed exploring the trail to the creek and the bonfire was nice in the morning and evening. We went to Winterfest in Jim Thorpe. It wasn’t the snowy weekend we were hoping for as it was unseasonably warm but still a relaxing getaway.

Perfect Little Getaway

The property was absolutely perfect! We had a few last minute days off and decided to get away from the city. The house is located in a community, but you would never know it, definitely a secluded feel. We had perfect weather and spent most of our nights relaxing on the deck and watching the wildlife and listening to leaves fall from the trees. Plus, the Chalet was in the perfect location for all the places we wanted to visit! We visited Jim Thorpe the second night there and enjoyed a beautiful scenic train ride and after we had an AMAZING lunch at Ouros. Our third day there we hiked some trails at Hickory Run state park and visited Boulder field. Definitely will be back!

Amazing Christmas at the Boarding Bear Chalet

We had a wonderful and very relaxing Christmas stay at the Boarding Bear Chalet. The house was beautiful and very clean. We were not expecting Christmas decorations and were so excited to see a stunning Christmas tree and outside lights. The house is extremely well designed and we especially loved the large master bathroom! We woke up on Christmas Eve to a light dusting of snow that transformed the forest into a winter wonderland. We loved sitting in the living room looking out over the forest (very secluded!) Overall, a wonderful family vacation!

Wonderful location and had plenty of space for me and my guests.

From the time we drove up the driveway we knew the property was going to be wonderful. It was just secluded enough where we could have bonfires or take a little walk in the woods to the creek without the fear of bothering anyone. There was plenty of space in the home and everyone was able to sleep comfortably. My friends and I really enjoyed the basement where we played pool and foosball to help pass the time when we were just hanging out. Thank you very much for your hospitality and I would absolutely recommend this place to friends and family.

Nice Getaway!

This property is convenient to the PA turnpike but nicely secluded in the woods. The home is spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the deck, game room, and the open floor plan which was nice when you have several people and it is easy to monitor kids. The only minor disappointment was the outdoor grill, it was in very poor condition so we did not use it. The property owner was very quick to respond to questions and had very useful information about the area and the property, If we would visit the area in the future I certainly would consider staying at the property again.

Wonderful home!

We got lucky with this vacation home find. 7 of us had plenty of space plus some. We loved playing pool and foosball and very much enjoyed no TV in the "living room." Sitting by the fireplace without a distracting TV, playing games and connecting as a family made this trip amazing! Jen was so responsive to all our questions and provided every answer we needed. We loved this home and would come back again for different seasons. The community beach looks like it would be great in the summer. Thanks again for having such a beautiful home to share.

Spacious and quiet house

This house was great with spaces to sleep and common areas. We loved the beck and fire pit. The basement had many amenities for our group, and we spent our last night down there. We had a blast and would recommend this house.

We decided to buy land and build our very own vacation home from the ground up. Garry is a builder and contractor in South Jersey. We love Jim Thorpe, the location, the activities, the beautiful scenery, the wildlife, etc...We hope you enjoy and respect it as much as we do. Our home offers the right amount of serenity in an area full of adventure, shopping in downtown Jim Thorpe, restaurants, and/or entertainment, etc...
