Nytt modernt bondgård i hjärtat av Valle Crucis, NC - Byggt 2019

Vi (Catherine & John) välkomnar gästerna att njuta av skönheten i North Carolina-bergen från vårt nybyggda bondgård. Beläget på en sluttning i hjärtat av historiska Valle Crucis, är utsikten från bakre verandan och övervåningen däck fantastisk. Vi har 4 sovrum (inklusive ett litet "barnrum" med två sängar) och 2 1/2 badrum. Befälhavaren svit med privat badrum är på huvudnivån. Ett modernt kök och öppet konceptbebyggelse inbjuder för vänner och familj att samlas bekvämt. Vi inbjuder dig att komma på besök!

Vi är stolta över vårt nya hem som stod klart i augusti 2019. Vi hoppas kunna tillbringa många semester här med vår ett år gamla, Tessa, när vi besöker familjen. För Catherine kommer hon hem när hon kör i Valle Crucis. Hennes föräldrar har varit här i nästan 45 år och bor fortfarande i det hem hon växte upp i på toppen av kullen. Så detta är en speciell plats för oss. Vi hoppas kunna vara värd för familjer och grupper av vänner som tycker om bergen, uppskattar tid tillsammans och som kommer att behandla vårt hem som sitt eget. Vi ser fram emot att hyra vårt hem till mogna och ansvarsfulla vuxna. Detta är vårt välskötta familjesemesterhem. Om du letar efter ett hus för att ha en stor fest är detta inte platsen. Men vi skulle gärna vara värd för dig om du vill ha ett vackert hem på den vackraste platsen vi känner!

Excellent Place to Stay

Our family had a fantastic time staying in this home! It’s perfect location for families! The owners communication was outstanding, response time was very quick! It was clean, quiet, beautiful and very well equip with everything you need! Our family will definitely be back!

Beautiful Setting

Gorgeous house located in a beautiful area. House was well decorated and cozy. Great outdoor seating and porches. Beds were very comfortable and everyone slept great. No complaints at all!

Fabulous time

We loved visiting the cute farmhouse and enjoyed the views. It had everything that we needed and plenty of space for us to relax. We would love to visit Boone again and stay here! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Relaxing pleasant stay

This property was great for our family and extremely comfortable. Owner provided a playpen and baby gate, which was helpful. We love the views and area. Perfect spot to relax and have quality family time. We visited Boone and Blowing Rock nearby, which were fairly close, but we were happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of that area and in Valle Crucis.

Peaceful and Beautiful

Loved the house and relaxing, peaceful surroundings. Enjoyed watching the cows across the road and deer eating apples in the yard. Beautiful flower garden. House was very comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Hope it is available for us next year!

Great family getaway

We had a wonderful time at this scenic mountain house. The house sits in a beautiful mountain setting but has great modern amenities. We were traveling with our two daughters (ages 5 and 7) and they loved the upstairs bedrooms and toys/ books on hand. We did tubing at hawks nest, skiing at Appalachian ski mountain and gem mining and the drive from the house was easy for each activity. Would highly recommend this spot for families and would stay here again!

Beautifully appointed property spectacular location

Home was beautifully appointed and was located close to everything you could want to do and see from blowing rock, Boone, grandfather, banner elk to Sugar/beech. We will definitely stay here again. Floor plan of this home is perfect for a family Small or large. If you like to walk the Dutch ext. is perfect and the park is not far either. All around one of the top places we have stayed over the 9 years that we have been visiting the area.

Third time for this wonderful place

My wife and I have spent the week of our anniversary here at the farmhouse in Valle Crucis for the 3rd time in 3 years. We love it. The house is very nice and beautifully situated on a hillside over looking adjacent farms. The weather in late July is amazing. The surrounding area is so relaxing. What can I say - we've stayed here 3 years in a row.

A Perfect Get-Away-From-the-Heat Vacation

My wife and I spent a week at the farm house in Valle Crucis and enjoyed it so much we booked another week for next summer. The farm house is very nice and in a wonderful historic rural community. John and Catherine were great - not because they responded quickly to issues - there were no issues! They were great for good clear communication and for having and maintaining such a beautiful place.

Relaxing Stay

Our stay at the property was wonderful. The space was very clean (believe me I notice with 4 active kids all over the floors), wonderfully hospitable with all the “extras” to make it restful... comfy beds, stocked kitchen, lush towels, working TV’s, a porch swing, adult & children’s books, ect. The location was wonderful, especially when having children— lots of outdoor grass and hills to play on… a beautiful back porch overlooking the hills and mountains. Mast General Store, Valle Crucis Community Park, and Over Yonder are all fun places right down the street. Hope to be back to stay sometime in the future.

This property is beautiful, super clean and the area has easy access to everything.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property. It’s usually booked we we’re very happy to be able to book it again. The area has great access to everything you would want to do. It’s so clean, new and has everything you need to feel right at home. We loved meeting Dutch (family dog) and watching the cows and fields being harvested. (Hay). The area is safe and made for very enjoyable walks. We will definitely stay at this property again.

Graduation Celebration

We celebrated my son’s graduation from Appalachian State University with family, and a few very close friends. An incredible setting for a special day! Everything was perfect! Communication with Catherine perfect, house beautiful, perfectly decorated, spotless, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, everything we hoped for and imagined. Will definitely return! A true gem.

If you want a peaceful place to stay that is conveniently located to Boone, this is the place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home situated on a beautiful hillside. We've always loved the house designs featured in Southern Living, and this one did not disappoint. The owners were very communicative about every aspect of our stay and made it stressfree. The covered back porch has plenty of furniture that facilitates the enjoyment of a wonderful view of a cattle farm and hillsides. We highly recommend this rental! You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful

I don’t have enough words to fully describe how beautiful this home is. The house is decorated beautifully and was amazingly clean! My husband and I came with our 5 kids (7 and under) and we could not have picked a better place! The house has everything you could think of and then some! My big girls loved staying in the twin room and especially loved the lights above their beds! The baby gate and pack n play were a huge bonus! I cannot even begin to describe the views from this home. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the cows each day. We are looking forward to staying here again. Catherine and John truly thought of everything and were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were quick to answer any questions I had! Definitely a gem of a home!

Thanksgiving in the mountains

This is our second time staying here and we absolutely love the house! It such a cozy and clean farmhouse in a great location in Valle Crucis with a beautiful view. The beds are very comfortable and the outdoor space is fantastic. We had lots of fun playing in the yard and loved seeing the deer in the morning! I highly recommend this house and the owner is wonderful to work with and we look forward to staying here again.

Life size doll house

If you ever get a chance to stay here, do it. This place is so quaint. I felt like walking into the dollhouse from my childhood. The antiques and fun decor makes it so unique. My friends and I enjoyed our time just watching the cows graze From the back porch. It would’ve been great to have a fire feature in the back so we could stay outside longer. The kitchen was fully stocked and The Bluetooth speaker was perfect for playing out music. The beds were a bit uncomfortable but everything else made up for it.

Wonderful stay at Charming Valley Crusis Farmhouse

My family and I had an amazing stay at this lovely farmhouse. The farmhouse could not be any more warm and welcoming .Beautiful and clean, this house and the property is very peaceful. It is well equipped and located in a place that is easy to get to outings. We have rented many vacation properties and this is by far my favorite!

A Beautifully Situated Farmhouse in NC High Country

My wife and I just spent a week at Farmhouse for a 2nd year in a row and we've already booked it again for next year. Obviously, we love it. The house itself is very nice, well equipped, and very comfortable. The setting is beautiful. We sat on the back porch and watched the cows in the pasture across the way. We watch the deer graze on the hill in front of the house. We walked every morning at the Valle Crucis Park which is 1 mile away. This park is very nice - 1 mile walking path around it, playground equipment, pavilions, and it's on the banks of the Watauga River. We enjoyed the Mast General Store, Over Yonder Restaurant, zip lining at High Gravity Adventures (we're both close to 70), a wine tasting at Linville Falls Winery, Grandfather Mountain and The Local just off the App State campus in Boone. Catherine is a great host - like I said, we've already booked it for a 3rd year in a row.

We are John and Catherine Tumminello! John is originally from NY and has lived in Nashville for 17 years. He works at a nonprofit arts organization which runs free music and youth education programs in Centennial Park. Catherine is originally from Valle Crucis, North Carolina and passionately roots for the Tar Heels. She spends her time chasing around our daughter, Tessa, and managing our short term rental properties in the downstairs of our home in Nashville and our new farmhouse in Valle Crucis. We love hosting our guests and pride ourselves on having over 230 5-Star reviews!
