A lovely stay

We had a lovely stay on the property, whilst the accommodation was closer to the main house then we had expected it was exceptionally quiet and peaceful. The stables is well appointed and beautifully designed and decorated, and well suited to our family of four and my parents. The grounds are blessed with well established gardens and a lovely herd of cattle. The peacock and family dog were a delightful surprise and we enjoyed their nightly visits. Robyn was an excellent host, quick to assist with any enquiries. I would recommend thos for anyone looking for a quiet family (or couples) getaway.

Perfection at The Stables

We had such a fabulous stay at The Stables! It was clean and very well appointed. The beds and bedding were beautiful and the grounds were so lovely! Perfect Getaway

The Stables at Merricks was a delightful weekend and we look forward to staying there again. The accommodation is exactly as listed but it’s the little details that make it more special. The stunning tree-lined driveway, quality of linens, ample firewood and lovely hosts ensure a most comfortable break. Robyn and her family lit the fire ahead of our arrival and were so lovely when greeting us. We are very familiar with the Mornington Peninsula and this place is perfectly situated if you want to explore wineries and the more relaxing back end of Balnarring, Shoreham, Red Hill and Flinders. Perfect for family and fur friends (we stayed with our little pooch) or a girls weekend away. Highly recommend!

Girls weekend

We had the most wonderful time staying here. It's a beautiful spot, close to restaurants and wineries. The host was fantastic, easy to communicate with. Even got the fire going so it was ready for us when we got home. Could recommend this enough

A Must to Stay.

From start to finish this stay was amazing. Such a beautiful feel to this accommodation with so much to do including playing with the chickens and looking out for Kevin the resident peacock. Excellent friendly hosts where nothing was a problem for them. Robyn and Brad had great recommendations of things to do in the area. The house is located in a great spot being less than 10 minutes to the beach and Balnarring shops. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10. Thank you for the wonderful stay. We are sure to return.

Glam rustic charm

Great spot, amazing views across the valley. Plenty of space for dogs to run. Beautifully maintained and plenty of wood for the fire. Fantastic showers which is always a winner! Thanks for having us.

Unique accomodation in a picturesque, peaceful setting.

A fantastic location to base the family for a birthday weekend. Lots of nearby cafes, wineries, towns and beaches etc to explore. My husband spent a lot of time practising his photography on the picturesque property including his astro photography as the sky and stars are so clear at night. We brought the dog and he had a great time too. Robyn was a lovely host and l am sure we will be return.

Great stay in the converted stables!

We love this place and have visited over the years with family, friends and for a girls weekend. The hosts, location and amenities set you up for a relaxing getaway, with numerous options for good food and wine outings, and time for a swim or surf at nearby beaches.
