Detta hus har varit ett hem i över 150 år och är redo för de kommande 150. Den kommer bekvämt att ta hand om 1-8 personer, i alla väder och alla årstider.

Det finns två eldstäder och många soffor. Detta är en plats för dig som gillar en eld och en bra bok.

En lång solrum har utsikt över sjön i ena änden och ser över till Bridgewater-grottorna i den andra. Detta är en plats för att titta på jorden vända och dagen utvecklas.

Två moderna badrum och enkla tvättmöjligheter tar hand om alla inhemska behov. Köket är generöst i storlek och utsikterna för att du kan laga en storm medan du tittar på en blåsa över från viken.

Från dörren leder vandringsleder genom trädgården, uppför kullarna, runt sjön eller bortom kust- och nationalparkerna i området. Det finns säkra stränder, surfstränder och dramatiska klipptoppar för de mer äventyrliga. Detta är en plats där vildmarken är tillgänglig.

Our stay at the Lakes

We stayed here for five nights in April, and it was a great spot for getting to the Great South West walking trail. The place was quiet with no neighbors, had ample parking, and the sunroom was a nice spot to relax in the afternoon. The second bathroom was the most updated of the two, although it wasn't as easily accessible. The outdoor space and furniture were nice for breakfast or an afternoon drink. The home was well-equipped, and the hosts were friendly and responsive. Overall, it was a good place for a relaxing stay.

Restful, relaxing and revigorating.

A beautifully presented home in a stunning location. Attention to detail was second to none. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and warm cosy fire. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay.

Relaxing by the lake

We had a family catch up at the property with 2 Adult children and their partners. It was a fantastic location in the charming historic house, panoramic views of the lake, across the road from interesting caves and a pretty walk to the beach, all without having to get in the car.We enjoyed evening drinks and meals on the outdoor terrace and watching the sunset. The closed in verandahs would also be a cosy place to see the sunset in the cooler months. We want to return.

Perfect rural and coastal retreat.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Lakes House through both a tropical strength rainstorm and glorious early summer days. The house is perfect for both situations. In the calm of the early morning, glassy conditions on the lakes revealed perfect reflections right down to the clouds in the sky.

An extraordinary house set amongst stunning surroundings

We had an amazing family holiday at the Lakes House, a house that's incredibly rich in history set in a very special location. Whether it be walking through the front door where you see bright flowers and the beautiful Bridgewater Lakes out the back, or waking up in one of the front bedrooms where you look straight out into the ancient Tarragal Caves, this is a location like no other. The personal note from Viona, Hayne and Lisa was a loverly way to start our stay, and they provided everything we needed and more. We absolutely loved staying in this extraordinary house and very much hope to come back :)

* The information booklet provided was very interesting to read about this historic house and property.* Fantastic location - walking distance to the caves & lakeside swimming access. Quick drive to nearby tourist sights & services.* Spectacular views over the lake at sunset, and across to the caves.* Well equipped kitchen and heaps of inside & outside space to spread out.* Really appreciated the proper beside reading lamps.* Highly recommend a holiday visit here.

What an amazing house and location! This house was instantly relaxing as soon as we arrived. The house is well stocked with everything you need from a home away from home. The hosts were friendly and communicated well and they called in often during our stay to check in on us.

Very Relaxing Stay

We had a lovely relaxing time. The peacefulness and even with the cold weather the property had a warm charm about it, then add the fire places, definitely worth the stay. The hosts are lovely to deal with. My friends and I needed this break away and we thank you.

So Peaceful

Beautiful location,with a vast view of the lovely lake. Also great to explore the caves just over the road. Seeing the seal colony was a highlight. My favourite room was the massive kitchen with the fireplace in it.
