Wonderful country getaway

We stayed with a group of friends for a winter retreat. The house was clean and very roomy. The fire provided adequate heating which rose up to the bedrooms, keeping us very warm. The kitchen was incredibly well appointed - we were able to cook meals for ourselves to save us money on dining out. Incredibly close to everything Daylesford has to offer which made for lovely says out. The property manager was quick to respond to any communications and very clear about instructions. Definitely recommend if you have a large group and want to enjoy a daylesford getaway.

A room with a view.

What solitude and what a view to Mt Tarrengower.There is stacks of space inside. Outside; if the kids want to cut loose and burn off energy after the confines of the suburban backyard, then choose Arda Cluggen.

Beautiful winter escape

Enjoyed our getaway, 5 friends, one bedroom each, home cooked meals and games in front of the beautiful fireplace. Amazing views out the massive windows, a great escape for the weekend.

Great spot for a private getaway

Stayed with a group of 10 friends. We loved walking around and exploring the property including swimming in one of the dams and finding kangaroos. Very well equipped kitchen made it feel like a home. Great to have the BBQ and decking to enjoy outside under the stars.

Lovely long weekend in a well equipped house

Our family group of six adults and six children (aged 7-15) had a lovely long weekend stay at Arda Cluggen. The photos don’t do it justice! The house had everything we needed. We loved the views and space. We hope to return for another relaxing stay.

October long weekend.

Amazing property. Peaceful setting with great views and situated right next to a winery. The property was huge and we'll equipped to cater for everything. Open fireplace in the main living area was perfect for the cold days. To top off our stay, Sue the property owner went above and beyond for our stay and was a delight to deal with. Highly recommend this for large families.

Beautiful Arda Cluggen

Our stay at Arda Cluggen was fantastic! Sue was incredibly accommodating and very helpful throughout. The house was clean and tidy, very well set up, and incredibly comfortable. The surrounding land is equally beautiful, lots of area to explore and appreciate. So gorgeous, we were sad to leave! Would highly recommended staying at Arda Cluggen, you wont regret it! Beautiful location, friendly host.

We loved this property - it was perfect for our needs. It's a very big property with plenty of places to go exploring. We had a large group (around 12), so some were sharing rooms. We brought spare mattresses, otherwise some of us would have been sharing beds. So if you're booking, keep this is in mind if you're a large group. Otherwise, it's very cosy and enjoyable!

Relaxing getaway

Lovely relaxing getaway, but only about 12 minutes drive to Daylesford so not too far away from shops etc. Mill market in Daylesford worthy of a visit. Beautiful walks on the property and kangaroos nearby. Nice cosy wood heater perfect for this cold weather. My mum, her partner, my 3 teens, my hubby and our dogs loved it! Would certainly come back again. So nice to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of our usually hectic lives! Thanks Sue, we had a lovely stay 😊

Cottage full of character, overall memorable stay

We enjoyed staying at Sue's place, it's a vintage feel accommodation full of character. Easily accommodated a group of families and our lovely pet dog too. Kitchen was well equipped for group meals. We spent our time indoor, has books, board games and enough sitting area. Bathrooms were sufficient and beds had linen. We didn't use the stretcher beds. Outdoors were good for views and pics. Kids loved being at the property and wrote their own reviews in the guest book at the house.

Comfortable and spacious

We enjoyed our stay and found the house comfortable and good for family group. There is a corner cupboard in the kitchen that needs a screwdriver to tighten by your house minder .Also we left a white rug on a bed and would appreciate it if you could post it to me .I will pay the postage . A bit untidy, but beautiful location

The house was a bit untidy with cobwebs and dust everywhere. We also found a lot of spiders and other insects inside the house, one spider jumped out of the blanket when we got into it. The house leaked when it rained, and flooded the bathrooms both downstairs and upstairs. A few lights weren't working either. Bed and blankets were dusty and one of the pillows had dirt on it. The games room was nice and cozy, but the games were all missing pieces. Unfortunately for us, there was a hailstorm on our first night and it damaged our car heavily as it was parked in front of the house as there was no covered parking. Acknowledging this is no one's fault.
