Great view and building

The property itself is great. However there are some oversights when it comes to the interior and smaller details. Balcony has one of the best views on the island & sunsets there are magical each and every night. Apartment was very clean & air conditioning worked well however there was some mold in the air-conditioning. Area was safe and quiet, very few cars driving by. Laundry is separate from unit but just a short 3 minute walk away, however in the listing there is a picture of a washer in unit. Dryer doesn’t work well but there are drying lines right outside of unit which is the primary method for drying clothes on the island anyway. Knives were few and very dull as others have mentioned but we managed. There were no forks in the apt, we contacted the host and they deliver them a few days later. There’s no dishwasher or bathroom fan if those are necessities for you and we would suggest keeping bathroom door closed at night to prevent any small mosquitoes from bothering you while asleep (they are hard to avoid anywhere on island this is not specific to this unit). The apartment has an awesome book of recommendations from past guests which we frequently used & appreciated for activity and restaurant ideas. Small note too, the book is full and needs a new pen. We would definitely stay here again.

Our Stay At Sapphire Appointments

We had a great stay at Sapphire Apartments. The view from the balcony is unparalleled, and having breakfast out there every morning was such a treat. It’s just as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The apartment is spacious and well laid out.The roads to the apartment were unpaved and quite a headache to navigate. This isn’t a critique of Sapphire Apartments, just a heads-up if you’re renting a small car like we did. There were a few mixups with check-in, and we were missing a couple of essentials, but the team was quick to respond and help sort things out when we reached out - Ali was a big help.One thing to note: the hot water tank runs out quickly and seems to be shared across the apartments, so if you're someone who needs hot showers, it’s best to shower early. We also noticed some gaps in the balcony door and windows that let in mosquitoes and geckos. Lastly, we got locked out on the balcony once. I’m mentioning this so that you are aware but honestly, while the issues I mention were inconvenient, we still had a great time overall.

Great time in St Lucia

Janus was super responsive and helpful with our booking. I changed my mind about renting a car since we were only here for a few days. Janus arranged for Ali to meet us at the airport and drive us around whenever we needed a taxi. He was great and I am so glad we went the hassle free route. We were not into anything too touristy and he made some great suggestions and helped us find our favourite beaches-Chastanet and Mamin.The Villa had great views, was super clean and the supermarket is a quick 10 min walk.So glad we stayed here. Janus lives right around the corner and made sure we were well looked after.The people in St Lucia are so friendly and helpful.Thanks Janus and Ali!!!

Beautiful Views

We loved our stay here. The space was plenty big for two people, clean, and had a nice seating area with beautiful views on the balcony. As other reviews have said, the road getting up here is unpaved and steep in parts, but with a high clearance vehicle it was no issue. Janus was very responsive whenever we had questions or needed something. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend the Sapphire Villas!

Wonderful view!

Janus and driver Malie were wonderful and attended to all of our needs. The apartment is just as it appears in the pictures and had everything. We sat on the balcony enjoying the pitons for hours. We highly recommend this apartment!

Great place to experience the real St Lucia

If you want to experience a bit of the real St Lucia and meet lovely people then this apartment fits the bill. It is good value, clean with all you need (apart from a pool, although beaches were within walking distance and the water is warm). It is set within the town, so within walking distance of the supermarkets, restaurants and attractions, and with great views from the balcony. Janus was always on hand to help make arrangement for taxis. The people we meet were very friendly, extremely polite and helpful. If you want a lovely beach within walking distance and don't want one of the expensive resort beaches then head for the beach that is near Martha's Tables restaurant.

Clean with great views

I stayed here with my 8 year old as a part of a mother -son getaway. I wasn’t sure what to expect staying off a resort but I couldn’t be more pleased with not only the cleanliness and modern updates of the place, but Janus, the property owner, greeted us upon arrival and gave us tips, pointers and welcomed his services at any point during my stay. There are a lot of stray dogs and wandering roosters in the area so I recommend bringing ear plugs for night. The apartment is within walking distance to a few eateries and botanical gardens. Short drive to beaches. Truly I couldn’t be more pleased with this place and the accompanying hospitality from Janus, personally. Thanks for being a part of such a memorable vacation! Sapphire Apartment 3 Soufriere, New Development. Fantastic location for a price that can't be beat!

Apartment has fantastic view of the ocean and the Pitons, is close to major attractions and some reasonable local restaurants. Slow but sure to get there with the rental car to traverse the local roads; an all-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended for travel throughout the island. The two-story apartment is modern, spacious and clean; nice to have a/c for sleeping in the upper level. Our only suggestion would be to have an extra couple of sharp knives, i.e., a bread, paring, and carving knives, a microwavable casserole and pans for those of us who regularly prepare meals within. Refrigerator is big enough to store lots of food, water and beer; freezer for ice and to keep the rum cold. Highly recommended!

Relaxing!!!

My husband and I never actually met Janus but he was always available to us even at midnight. We were very late arriving and very lost so we contacted Janus for directions and he answered immediately assuring us we could contact him at any time. He was always prompt in responding to us offering directions to where we were going. Everything was as posted on the internet location was quiet with an amazing view and we felt safe walking back at night. the apartment was cozy and had everything we needed. We will be back.

St. Lucia's heart of Snorkeling Destinations Command Center

We enjoyed a great week at Sapphire #3. Our host Fabian was helpful with any questions and requests. The property, while spartan in things like kitchenware or tables, was very new, clean, and maintained. Plug outlets were few in number but up to the job. The apartment was a delight and comfortable. The hot water was plentiful at night, but non-existent in the morning. WiFi was fast enough for streaming. Cable TV was low-resolution on channels that had audio. Hi-res channels had no audio. 110V converters and plugs were provided downstairs for about 6 outlets on a power strip. The hair dryer provided is 110V , so you have to use it downstairs on the power converter. We cooked gourmet meals at home every day using the oven, range, and microwave. The property had outstanding views! The upstairs had AC, which together with a fan placed downstairs maintained a comfortable climate. The washer was handy for laundry and clothes quickly dried inside overnight. We did out shopping in Culde Sac at Massys as there is very little available in Soufriere for dining or shopping. The location is near the most popular island attractions and snorkeling, and we would happily stay at Sapphire #3 again (and bring a couple of large sharp knives) or recommend it heartily to others. The area, New Development in Beverly Hills Soufriere, is perched on a ledge and ingress/egress require slow driving, like most areas locally. Very glad we stayed here!

Perfect apartment in every way!

This apartment is fully renovated so everything you need is there. The location is great, with a view of thé Piton mountains, the city of Soufriere and the ocean. You can really experience living with locals and getting a feel for the real St. Lucia. The people are so friendly and the area is so safe. I want to come back to St. Lucia and stay here again! Janus and his team are amazing! We booked our taxi through Janus and we got to see most of what's to see at a very good price.

Excellent value, gorgeous view overlooking Soufriere and Pitons!

Not much to add to previous reviews. Clean, very functional unit with nice balcony views. Road up to unit is rough. Very attentive to any needs and Fabian met us at Hummingbird Resort near the north entrance into the town which was a huge help to find the place! Would very highly recommend for the price.

Three Fantastic Nights in Soufriere

My wife and I spent four glorious days in this wonderful little seaside town. Ignore the fact that the roads near the flat are desperately in need of repair because the Sapphire Apartment is well worth the adventure, just to get there. The view from the top balcony is spectacular. Your host, Janus is an outstanding manager who will take care of your needs and will you with provide valuable information regarding the many magnificent tourist attractions in this area. I would recommend a car from this venue but you are less than 20 minutes from all the major attractions including Diamond Falls, Sulfur Springs and Sugar Beach. The drive to the apartment from the airport was not as bad as we heard but I would recommend that you try to do it during daylight to make your trip more enjoyable. The apartment itself is modern and comfortable. Like I said, breakfast on your balcony, overlooking the Pitons will be a hilite of your trip. We wished that we could have stayed longer. In the mornings you may want to bring along some earbuds because the rosters and dogs tend to sing quite loudly,..but after-all, this is St Lucia. Thanks again Janus for making our trip to Soufriere a truly memorable experience!

New, Clean, Basic - Perfect for Us

Apartment was nearly perfect for us. Would stay here again. The building is new and everything is clean and in working order. Kitchen and sitting room are downstairs with bedroom with walk in closet and bathroom upstairs. The balcony opens off the bedroom with gorgeous view. A basic phone was available to contact manager with any issues and make local phone calls for reservations. Wi-fi worked fine. As reflected in the price, the apartment is not luxurious but it is basic done right. I was particularly impressed with the kitchen since I like to cook with local ingredients. The kitchen had basic dishware, tableware, pots/pans, and utensils as well as the appliances listed online. With a little creativity, I prepared simple dinners and breakfasts. There were a few essentials (salt, pepper, sugar and miscellaneous other items left by previous occupants). We were able to purchase all that we needed at Eroline's small supermarket in Soufriere. The Massey's (formerly Super J) off highway in Vieux Fort on the way from the airport to Soufriere is larger and also convenient to stockup if you have car (or your taxi can easily stop there). The apartment was 30 min walk from downtown/beach and a 40 min. steep, uphill walk back, probably less for younger folks. We enjoyed the walk through the residential area, using small shops and bakery on the way to town, saw soccer practices and children on their way to school, ie opportunity to see local life as well as use the apartment as base for visits to beaches and tourist attractions. Only negative was the late night barking dogs several houses away on the weekend, heard despite the A/C fan on high. I slept through them but my husband did not. Apparently dogs were barking at people passing by so was not an issue late on weeknights. Thanks to Janus and his team for providing this comfortable vacation opportunity!
