Illawong Àr ett gammalt familjesemesterhus med absolut vattenfasad vid sjön Macquarie. Det har en panoramisk utsikt mot norr som ger en spektakulÀr miljö Äret runt för att koppla av vid vattnet. Den har sin egen brygga. Huset har tre sovrum och ett badrum pÄ luftkonditionerade övre plan. Varje sovrum har tvÄ enkelsÀngar. PÄ mellanplanet finns ett stort vardagsrum som vetter mot ett dÀck med full bredd med utsikt över sjön. Köket och huvudbadrummet Àr pÄ denna nivÄ. Det finns ett DVD-bibliotek, ett airhockeybord och ett Lego-bord. PÄ sjön ligger nivÄet för tvÀtt och grill, inklusive en skidor och liten kanot. Huset ligger pÄ ett stort trÀdgÄrdsblock och ligger i anslutning till en grÀsbevuxen reserv och Nordens Wharf. Staden Nord's Wharf Àr en ganska sjö vid sjön. Det Àr 10-15 minuters bilresa till Catherine Hill Bay-stranden, Caves Beach och Swansea.

Observera att detta inte Ă€r en 5-stjĂ€rnig utvĂ€g. Är inte ens ett 3-stjĂ€rnigt Motell. Vi tycker att det Ă€r fantastiskt och en stor avkopplande familjens bortflykt men vissa mĂ€nniskor har kommit med orealistiska förvĂ€ntningar, blivit besvikna och klagade. Om du inte kan hantera de udda pappas lĂ„nga benen eller spindelnĂ€tet osv, eller om du förvĂ€ntar dig möbler och styling av The Block-stil, Ă€r detta inte platsen för dig.

The place was as described and suited our purposes. The location and view were exceptional. The host was also very clear with their communication and incredibly flexible with checking in and out times. Superb.

Old fashioned but perfect location

Views from the house are superb. Facing North but with uninterrupted panoramic views of the lake. Lovely watch sunset as the fish feed just below the balcony. We were swimming and fishing the whole time. Highly recommend.

Great spot

2 minutes from the boatramp, solid parking out front, public jetty and private jetty all to yourself pretty much. House itself is pretty old but comfortable with a great view from the balcony.

We came to town for a wedding nearby. Disappointed we didn't get to spend more time at the house. The view was amazing and with great access to the lake water sports were very enticing. The house was exactly as described, would love to come back for another stay!

Weve stayed here before never dissapoints . One suggestion bedroom window facing the waterfront to have a screen as mosquitos and bugs filled the room during the night other than that 10/10!

Nice lake house with spectacular view

Like: location, breathtaking views, spacious, communication, amenities Improvement scope: this place needs deep cleaning/ paints. Between 2 group of guests need a good clean including the utensils. Good amount of bugs, which should be treated. downstairs toilet needs fixing ( it takes a long time to fill up the tank for flushing) Overall it is a great holiday house and we enjoyed our stay. Good amount of bugs, can be treated

Disappointed

When we opened the front door, we were confronted with the smell of prawns I messaged the owner he did ring immediately. I investigated while I had him on the phone and found that below the crispers in the fridge. There was a caramel colour liquid which he kindly asked if I would clean this up and I did he offered to refund one nights accommodation.. he actually refunded me $100 that is not one nights accommodation at this property Unfortunately it didn’t stop there. The bath tub would not drain after further investigation. There was so much hair in the drain. It was quite a process to pull it up. I have photos to prove this I managed to get about 8 inches of thick black mattered hair out of the drain But not only did it still not drain well very slowly but unfortunately there was a very strange brownish red something coming back up into the bath. The only way we were willing to shower was to put the plug in the bath at the same time, and unfortunately every time the shower was used the entire bathroom floor Became covered in one to 2 inches deep of water that stayed for many hours. There was no drain on the bathroom floor. This would be incredibly dangerous if you had anyone inclined to slip and was also really gross. Clearly, a plumbing problem that needs to be addressed And the cleaner is not doing their job Great location, great view Bathroom, disgusting And unfortunately we left all the doors and windows open all the time because the smell of prawns did not leave

The property is centrally located close to various beaches, fishing areas and towns. The house is well equipped including books and games for young and old. The position is amazing that overlooks the water which induces relaxation....A most enjoyable experience. Sargon Makko

Great stay!

We had a great stay at Illawong house! I was there with 4 other friends for our annually trip and we had a blast. The place has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable weekend. We used the kayaks to go into the lake, we had a few swims, we enjoyed the card and board games available in the house, we had a barbecue by the lake. Beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped. It's a 5 stars for everything, except cleanliness - the house charges a fee for linen, which I only noticed a few days prior because the manager told me. And that was totally fine, except that the fee was high and the bed linen smelled a bit like mold. It didn't spoil our weekend at all, but I'd advise guests to be aware of it and warn the manager earlier if you need linen - giving the benefit of doubt, maybe it was a matter of not enough time to give a good wash? Yet, we had an amazing stay and will definitely recommend this place. Overall 5 stars!

Beautiful outlook

Relaxed open plan living. Great location. Fish off the private warf. Snooze on the deck with an afternoon breeze. Three level design. Bedrooms in the middle. We had a quiet, lovely stay.

Excellent location

Property well described, not flash but doesn’t matter as it has everything you need. A lot of stairs but that gives you a good leg workout. Sitting on the deck overlooking the lake was so relaxing.

Lakeside Holiday

This was the perfect place for our 30th Anniversary. We took our double kayak and our fishing gear and had a great relaxing long weekend. The house was beautifully located on the waters edge and had plenty of room for our kids and grandkids when they came to visit.

Really beautiful place

We really loved our short break at the house... it has the most beautiful views and such a peaceful feel about it! we had a very relaxing fishing weekend. The house has everything that you need and Swansea is a 10 minutes drive away for pubs and restaurants. We will definitely be back.. thank you!
