Relaxing cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The cottage has everything we needed & the breakfast was perfect. Annette was very welcoming. The property is beautifully presented. We will be back!

Our stay was lovely...perfect situation for us. We would thoroughly recommend. However, due to a road accident our arrival was delayed 5 hrs. I could NOT get a message through to our host via Bookabach.

Cute villa with a stunning garden view

We stayed for one night on our way home to Auckland from Wellington. Annette and her husband are welcoming hosts. She helped us with dinner recommendations and things to do. Their garden knowledge is fantastic and they were very happy to share their knowledge and experience with us. A lovely relaxing place with a very comfy bed and atmosphere.

Accommodation Review

We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely boutique-style accommodation and were thoroughly impressed. The space was clean, inviting, and beautifully presented. Despite our late arrival, the lights were on, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A thoughtful message on the welcome board and a delightful selection of biscuits waiting for us made us feel right at home.The continental breakfast was delicious, adding to the overall experience. We booked on short notice due to unfortunate circumstances, but Annette was incredibly accommodating and kind, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable.We can honestly find no fault with our stay and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking a relaxing, welcoming retreat. Thank you, Annette, for your kindness and hospitality.

Attention to Detail

So many helpful & personal details made this a top notch experience. From noticing the red mailbox upon entering the property, directional signs, a personalized welcome greeting, all made me feel very comfortable and appreciated. Details in the suite itself, such as crown and chair molding, up to date appliances and fixtures, the softest blanket I ever felt, made this special. And clean? My goodness! Clean as a whistle! I was invited to explore the gardens, and enjoyed them immensely. Here again, nothing was out of place. One of the best accommodations I have ever had. 5+

We purchased this land as a bare section back in 2011 starting with the barn build to live in while we designed then built our family dream home, a modern villa of our own design. We lived in the barn for 18 months and loved the life style it, simple living with everything you need at your fingertips.
