Även om detta hem renoverades 2006, förkroppsligar det fortfarande den viktorianska stilen med vissa eklektiska funktioner. Great stay

This was a great place to stay with friends. Our husbands were running in the Shiner half marathon and this was a great location to enjoy our time together as well as get them there on time. The charm of the house is great.

Great get-a-way

This is a marvelous place to just get away for a few days, and perhaps visit the painted churches, or the model airplane museum, or go out to eat at one of the great places to dine. You need to book this one!

Painted Churches

Loved the location, so close to everything we wanted to do and see. House was decorated so well and close to period. Photos of the original family were a nice surprise. So much thought and planning went into making our stay extra special. Trains were a little noisy but otherwise everything was great! Would recommend to others.

Girl's Getaway

This was a wonderful home with plenty of bedrooms and spaces to just relax. It was the best equipped kitchen-better than my own. They had everything you could ever need for preparing and enjoying meals. The house is very nicely furnished and we enjoyed admiring all the rooms and their décor. We found enjoyable places to eat out and visited the painted churches. Overall, a great experience. Bonus-its right across the street from the police department!

Lovely lady

Loved every minute of our stay. Everything was lovely. Especially convenient to downtown. We walked to wedding reception down the hill and up the hill to breakfast. One block either way.

Charming and comfortable

My mother and I stayed 4 nights during Round Top Antique show. We were so happy to come back to the cottage each day because it felt so quiet, cozy and relaxing being there. The property had everything we needed to feel at home and safe. The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely book again

Perfect Girls' Weekend

What a relaxing weekend! We loved Das Meyer Haus. So many details were thought of. We had everything we needed, Schulenburg had nice restaurants and shopping (one block over from old downtown) but not a lot of people. Dream property, if you love renovated old properties, this is the place to go!

Beautifully Decorated, Well Maintained Home

Had a great stay. Quiet neighborhood, wonderful home with beautiful decor. This is a comfortable home with real character, nice antiques, and everything you need for a comfortable visit. Kitchen was well stocked, much more available than we normally find at the homes we stay in. Quick driving distance to Warrenton and Round Top for the Spring Show!

Beautiful home in a historic area

This small house was beautifully appointed, and had a feel as if it were someone's house rather than a rental. In fact, I later found out this is the owner's second home! The beds were very comfortable and the location quiet making for a sound sleep. It was a great central location to travel around Schulenburg to visit the wonderful Painted Churches of Texas that date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s.

From the moment you walk through the door and all of the exquisite details of the home, it truly takes you back in time. Very appreciated. Everything being labeled and explained where things were in the kitchen and how organized the entire home itself was, made our stay just that much more comfortable! I’ll definitely make a trip back to Schulenburg just to stay here.

Das Meyer Haus 🤙

This was absolutely one of the best places I’ve stayed in. It had just about everything you could possibly need and more. Fully stocked kitchen, including spices, tea and coffee. Plenty of towels and soap in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. It’s in a quiet location downtown within walking distance to some restaurants and shops. It has a nice porch to sit on in the morning and evening. It would be hard to not enjoy staying here. I would definitely stay here again.

Love and passion went in to the decorating and the presentation of this quaint victorian home. Important to realize that children aren't allowed. Owners put forth great effort to provide the small and thoughtful details that make this a great place to stay. -J

Ideal Quilters Retreat

The pictures do not do enough justice to how cute this home is. The home is well stocked with everything you could need. Even though there's only one bathroom, it's very spacious and central to all 3 bedrooms and worked very well for us. We had a small group of 3 friends, all quilters, staying here. The large dining table was perfect for setting up our sewing machines and quilt projects and when we were tired of that we retired to the living room to relax and watch TV while working on hand sewing projects each night. We would love to make this rental an annual meeting spot for our little quilters group. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!
