The property was conveniently located to walk to Eastern Market & other shops & restaurants. It was comfortable & clean. The kitchen was well equipped. It was the perfect spot for us to visit with nearby family. We enjoyed our stay!

DC Holidays

We had a wonderful DC stay. The suite was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and so close to our favorite sightseeing places.

Kitchen could use better (larger) coffee maker for people today like their coffee.We could not get the dishwasher to work above... the one below, it did not drain. Might be us not figuring it out... so we washed by hand.Very charming... historic... quiet location to metro was perfect for what we were doing in D.C. The walk to The Capitol was easy and not very far, restaurants along the route were of interest. The National Guardsmen and women were extremely informative and nice to talk to.

Excellent for siteseeing on the mall

In terms of location and amenities, this property is an excellent choice for tourists planning to visit the Smithsonian Museums and other sites on or near the National Mall.

Kirk was very helpful with information and providing a parking permit. The house is super close to a metro stop, grocery stores, and great restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

DC Trip

The property had all the amenities to make our stay very enjoyable plus the location was incredible. Access to the Metro and local businesses was so convenient and really enhanced our visit. We look forward to visiting again.

Neat house in a great neighborhood

We spent a week exploring DC and this location was perfect. Easy walk to Capitol Hill, metro station about a block away, and plenty of restaurants & coffee shops close by. The house is charming & comfortable. The owner is exceptionally accommodating.

Great little place

The property is in a perfect location. It is so close to public transportation that we were able to park our car and leave it for the entire week. The space comfortable without feeling crowded.

Great Place

We had a wonderful stay at the Victorian on Capitol Hill. As said in other reviews the location was excellent, close to the Metro and walkable neighborhoods with charming rowhouses. The apartment was very clean, with a comfortable bed and great living and kitchen spaces. Would definitely stay here again!

Nothing like Independence Day in the Nation's Capital!

Great start to summer vacation - great location, great hosts, great rental! Walking distance to the Capital, White House, Mall, museums, and memorials. We parked the car and didn't drive until we left. Good restaurants nearby but the kitchen has everything you need and the back porch is great for a late night drink. We'll stay here on our next visit to DC.

Kirk made the visit seamless. Excellent location, only used public transportation, except taxi to and from train station due to luggage. Very comfortable and quiet neighborhood.

Beautiful street and great location very close to the subway. Trader Joe’s was right there by the subway stop and Eastern market. The space was nice and comfortable. The only thing that wasn’t 5 stars was the dishwasher didn’t work the best.

I’d love to live here

Great location-near stores, restaurants, parks, transit. Beautiful property -well decorated, and nicely equipped. Communications with the owner/manager was great. I will stay again.

You had stated that you chose our guest house because of all the FIVE-STAR reviews we've received, so we are curious why you gave only a four-star rating with the comment "no real problems." You didn't tell us of ANY problems you were having aside from you getting lost upon arrival in town, not knowing what buttons to push to make the television work, and not reading our instructions on how to lock your door. We thrive on the FIVE-STAR reviews we earn through accommodating our guests and making sure you are as comfortable as possible. Location! Location! Location! Being a block from the Metro station and surrounded by restaurants, shops, and a Trader Joe’s made this stay easy, efficient and comfortable. Communication was smooth and apartment was well appointed and comfortable. Definitely will stay here again.

The listing is 1000% accurate, and the reviews about about the host Kirk are even more accurate. Kirk is very hospitable very knowledgeable about the area and things you want to do and how to do them. Very clean nice little cottage feel, steps to the metro to get anywhere you need to go. Nice area good restaurant. It was very quiet when we stayed
