Utomhusbad med varmt rinnande vatten, frisk luft och utsikt. Luta dig tillbaka och lyssna på fåglarna slå sig ner för natten, se känguruerna komma över paddock, se stjärnorna komma ut - och allt från badet! En verkligt unik och härlig upplevelse.

Idyllisk gömstuga ligger mellan busken och gården drygt en halvtimme från Orange. Utomhusbad med varmt vatten, frisk luft och utsikt. 3 sovrum som passar upp till 6 personer. Fullt utrustat kök. Nytt inomhusbadrum. Bekvämt vardagsrum med vedeld och magnifik utsikt. Bush trädgård med bål område och utsikt över de böljande kullarna till Mount Canobolas. Utforska skogen, promenera i paddockerna eller längs bäcken, se fåglarna, känguruer, wallabies, emus, örnar, wombats och kanske en echidna eller en platypus. Njut av lugnet och lugnet.

10 minuter till Cudal eller Manildra. 30 minuter till vingårdar, restauranger, Canowindra, Molong eller 40 minuter till Orange.
Åtkomst till grusvägen - både allmän väg och gårdspår, förhållandena varierar båda. 4WD krävs INTE.

Nangar nationalpark ligger bara ett stenkast bort.

Vi är en fungerande gård och i utkanten av en riktig skog, så barn måste alltid hållas i sikte för att säkerställa deras säkerhet. Trots att The Rockies ligger 2 km från gårdsbodarna så är det väldigt tyst.

Bekken ligger på gården, men ligger 2 km från huset. I våtare perioder finns det bäckar närmare huset. Barn eller vuxna kan leka vid byggnadsdammar, paddla osv. I något av dessa, säsong och säkerhets tillåter.

Vårt väder är mellan det från Parkes och Orange. Det är kallare på vintern än Sydney - men inte så kallt som Orange. Huset har uppvärmning och luftkonditionering. Vi delar gärna vår pool om du är här i varmt väder.

Vi är i landet, det kommer alltid att vara vilda djur, från känguruer, emus och örnar till ormar, ödlor och insekter.

Ibland har vi översvämningar som förhindrar åtkomst till gården. Om detta inträffar och din bokning måste avbokas, återbetalar vi hela bokningskostnaden, utom Stayz-avgiften, eller så kan du ändra din bokning till ett annat datum.

A true country escape

This property is very much a bush retreat. Expect wildlife, wonderful views and proper country roads. It was great to be able to walk the farm with the kids. Close enough to places like Orange too for day trips.

Relaxing trip away

Lovely place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Quiet and relaxing. Lovely bathtub in the paddock to enjoy with a glass of wine from one of the local vineyards. Friendly and accommodating hosts. Looking forward to going back.

We absolutely loved The Rockies. So peaceful, tranquil, and perfect for a family getaway. We were able to explore the property, collect firewood, see the animals and native wildlife, and enjoy a cozy dinner by the fire. The host was so friendly and easy to communicate with. Wow factor plus

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything from the outdoor fire pit and the indoor fireplace to the outdoor bath! An incredible experience overall. Stargazing while soaking in the tub was very special. Sally was a perfect host and provided everything we needed to make this a memorable stay. The gift basket was a very special touch. The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. We’ll definitely be back.

Relaxing weekend

We had a wonderful two nights - soo relaxing and the bath was amazing- some bathed under the stars - others in the evening- it was magical - we had a lovely outdoor fire - the house was toasty and we really appreciated the yummy treats Sally left us. Communication with Sally was excellent - no delays and she was very welcoming - we'll come again

A perfect getaway

Sally's property is a perfect place if you want to get away from concrete jungle. It is a peaceful farm with kangaroos occasionally visiting. The outdoor bath is an excellent addition. And lastly the local goodies that Sally had for us were a great touch. Would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Orange and want to have a peaceful time.

Beautiful location, people and farm

We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and rural location of the Rockies. Sally is thoughtful, kind and clear in her communication. We loved riding bikes, walking, exploring and doing a lot of not much with a beautiful view. The fire heats the whole house and there a couple of heaters if a boost is needed. There is a forrest conservation area behind the property that was wild and lush. It was helpful to have a 4wd in the wet. Thanks so much Sally, Jono and Isabelle!

It was a great little cabin. A quiet getaway. We did find that the main rubbish bin was full when we arrive and not much space for our general rubbish. The BBQ was dirty and been well used. We had no power all day Saturday which was no fault to the owners of the place but did effect us more then we thought it would. Especially when we still payed full price. Otherwise it was nice and owners are lovely.

The property was comfortable however the grounds around the property including path to clothes line and the bath poorly maintained with very long grass restricting access and fear that snakes may be around close to the verandah.

Fantastic Getaway

Just what we were looking forward. Fantastic secluded farm stay with beautiful panoramic views, cosy little property. Had a trouble with the oven (on it's last legs) and we took all oven baked meals to reheat. Sally was so nice and accommodating, came and took our meals and baked them herself, delivering them hot to us each night. Such fantastic service. Would definitely go again!

Great Location, Fantastic Host

Our stay surpassed our expectations, it offered an excellent opportunity to relax and reset. The property's strong points were: -The host is fantastic and enthusiastic, responds quickly and goes above and beyond for your stay. -The location is well secluded, backing onto a large nature reserve, however not too far away from larger population centres. -The cottage is well equipped for longer stays and can cater to a wide range of ages with various activities available in and around the cottage. -The property is a working farm and we were shown an insight into their hard work and progress, something that really demonstrates the friendliness and hospitality of the host. Overall, our experience was very memorable and tranquil, we hope to return soon.

Peaceful, rural stay.

I spent three nights in isolation and peace. There were a few initial problems but Sally was very approachable and helpful. The biggest drawback was the number of ants, but some insecticide helped with that. Lying in the bath at night watching the stars, and some satellites and even one shooting star was amazing. The road to the house is somewhat rough, so you might not want to drive your sedan there.

Just beautiful!

I chose this place because of the outdoor bath and it was amazing! The Rockies is a secluded little cottage with all the amenities that you need. The host’s hospitality was wonderful, the left us some local produce to cook with. It was such a beautiful welcome to the property. Just outside the bathroom door, led a path to the amazing outdoor bath! It had steamy hot water and it was lovely to sit in it, on a cool autumn morning and listen to the local bird life and sheep in the background. Truly a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. This place is wonderful for the couple looking to get away, or a small family who are wanting to explore nature. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it!

Fabulous getaway

We absolutely loved our time at the Rockies, it was just the escape from the city that we needed. The cabin has everything you need, the beds are comfy, the kitchen well equiped, the comfort of a wood fire and the convenience of reverse cycle A/C when you don't want the fire. The location is perfect for reconnecting with nature, with great views, wildlife and heaps of places to explore. The bath under the stars was nothing short of amazing, the only thing that got our six year old out of it was the rustling of a kangaroo nearby. Sally, Jono and their daughter really made the stay that much more special though, it was great to get to know them, learn a bit about their farm and play with their three beautiful dogs. Thanks so much Sally, Jono and Isabelle for welcoming us to your farm and making our few days away so enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again.

The Rockies at Manildra

What a fantastic experience. Beautiful scenery with amazing wildlife. We had an abundance of butterflies, birds & kangaroos. We even saw a young deer at sunrise in the paddock right next to the house. Beautiful bush land behind the house where we went for an easy walk. A bath at sunset was the perfect way to end the day & view the stars. Sally’s hospitality was wonderful. A beautiful array of local treats greeted us at arrival. The house was perfect & well equipped for all our needs. There was also plenty of basic supplies in the pantry. We really enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for that ultimate country getaway. 😀😀

Campfires and remoteness

We had a great stay at The Rockies. Sally was easy to communicate with and provided some welcome wine, chocolate and jams to enjoy during our stay. It was great to walk the property collecting wood and building a great bonfire each night and enjoying the outdoor bath with kangaroos around. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and the bed was warm and cozy. We had no issues driving off road with our forester (but probably wouldn't bring a tesla..) Don't forget your bread and milk.. the property is a fair way from Orange (about 50kms each way) 🙂 Would also highly recommend Mitch from Vine Ventures who could pick up/drop off from The Rockies as part of his full day tour. Fantastic to be able to leave the car at home and enjoy the great wine!!

Just what we needed

So loved our time here at this little gem! It’s a little piece of paradise and the perfect place to recharge for the year ahead. I totally disagree with someone’s earlier review re front area being uninviting. I spent most of my time out there reading, soaking in the view and listening to the birds. Front concrete pad area gets the early morning sun. The trees provide some shade and it was fully shaded off to the side of the house so it was easy enough to move deck chairs and still enjoy the views without getting too hot. As to the comment re the bath being tucked away out the back of the house …. Where else would you put it? It’s perfectly positioned for privacy from other guests and affords ideal sunset viewing. I made good use of the bath morning, noon and night! My 3 teen sons did too - we had to create a timetable with bath use 😅 Yes you had to be a bit more careful navigating the road in a 2WD and the grass around the house is long ATM but totally understandable given the need for attention elsewhere on the farm after the recent floods. I would love to return during the cooler months and make use of the inside fire and fire pit and spend time exploring the property in foot. Thanks Sally and Isabelle for a wonderful stay!

Blissful Peace and tranquility in nature

We had a wonderful stay at Sally’s cottage. It was so private, peaceful (we don’t count the birds and occasional sheep) and had everything we could have asked for. Sunrise on the front porch with a coffee, kangaroos and birds, to sunset and the stars and satellites in the amazing outdoor bath.We got to experience the farm and watch the shearing too! Sally is a fabulous host and left us with gifts and herbs and tomatoes from her garden! And the beautiful artwork on the walls from local artists that you can also purchase is a wonderful touch of supporting local.We will be recommending this escape from the world with our friends and family.

Quiet and distant

We've really enjoyed our stay. We like the rustic feel, less fancy and more touched with nature. It was noticeable that Sally the host had put the extra efforts particularly with fresh veggies & herbs from the garden as well as a bottle of red and white (what a spoil!) - these little things show the level of care and makes a difference.During our stay Sally guided us through the farm, we saw the veggie patch, the chooks, dogs, horse, sheep, rams and the kids got to climb up the machinery (with permission of course!). We were also able to walk around to the conservation area and see kangaroos and different birds and lizards, some were making very special sounds, and even a skeleton of one of them.The unit is distant from everything and is very peaceful and you get very stary nights. The outdoor bathtub is fun on a warm afternoon!The unit has also noticeable arts held in it which you could purchase if you want, the paining is by a local artist and to an unprofessional eye like mine its looking great.There was also a book with photos of local farmers which we found extremely interesting - it was put together by a local lady who got affected by recent events (floods etc) and the book is showing great photos and helps putting faces to the events you hear about. Great added value to the experience.Only one thing we think could be better - its the light in the unit; even though the unit is old, some change of light bulbs could make it feel much brighter.
