What a dream property for a short staycation in Bridgetown. Everything was beautifully rustic and charming, and the location sublime. The owners have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and we kept saying "when do we move in?" If you love a private country retreat surrounded by neighbouring farms, wineries and nature, this is for you.

Luxurious Serenity

The Oak Barn is beautifully appointed with even a piano and torches to negotiate the staircase as you descend from a comfortable nights sleep. Cosy with a wood heater and a nice touch with port and chocolates on arrival. Plenty of space, a cool spa bath and lovely old worldly furnishings that complemented the space.

What a hidden gem

the photos do not do this private little getaway enough justice. The ambience is stunning, Jude and Mike have put so much thought into this space, you can feel it when you walk in. The beautiful fireplace, which heats up the place perfectly. The corner spa bath, perfect for a wine a relax. the huge beautiful wooden sliding doors to the outside areas, lets in so much gorgeous light , the huge high ceilings, such a big beautiful open space.honestly I don't think I could say enough about this beautiful place it was a really lovely and relaxing stay, we loved listening to the bird noises.We didn't want to leave. I wanted to make my husband's surprise 50th getaway perfect. And I definetly found the place to do that.would highly recommend to anyone for any occasion, and so much to see and do in and around surrounding areas. are so efficient too.

Tranquility Plus

The renovated barn was wonderfully decorated to suit the surroundings and character of the original barn. The ease of access to everything in town was great. The quiet pace was just what we needed to recharge. Night stars glistening, early morning fog with bird song just beautiful. It was well set out and we had a wonderful time. Thank you : )

Definitely has the ‘WOW’ factor. We throughly enjoyed our stay with our cavoodle. Very comfortable and lovely quiet surroundings. Carafe of Port an extra bonus. Thanks Judi for making our stay all that we could wish for.

A Perfect Barn Stay

A beautiful barn, fully equipped and super clean in a very quiet location. Perfect for our 5 night stay. Jude the host was very attentive and welcoming. We loved it, would definitely stay here again.

Picture Perfect!

I want to live here forever. This place is simply gorgeous. The daybed downstairs is very comfortable and where I slept. Very warm with the large fire and aircon downstairs and upstairs too. It was 1 degree on the night we stayed and had no problem at all. The views from the windows are stunning.

So warm and toasty.

As I was chasing some wintery cold weather, I certainly found it the week that I was in Bridgetown! Freezing, but The Oak Barn is the warmest accommodation in Bridgie…and I stay in the region in winter a lot. So cosy, so warm, with a slow burning log fire and split system aircon/heaters. Hot air rises!! And with the bedroom upstairs in the loft you are 100% guaranteed a warm nights sleep. Situated in the outskirts of town, close enough to pop in, but rural enough to feel private…and across the road from Sunnyhurst Winery! Could not be better. Immaculately clean! With alot of thoughtful bits and bobs, needing absolutely nothing, comfy bed, games, books, loads of seating…I cannot rave enough. Jude and Mike awesome hosts who genuinely care about your experience in their Barn. Stay here!!

Takes you to another place

So peacful and the property is like a cabin from spain. The attention to detail with the property is amazing. Large timber doors, beautiful furniture and stained glass windows. Loved it.
