relaxing respite

A wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed walking down the street to the bike path, go to the right and you will come to a beautiful estuary. A nice calm local beach just down the road and Brewster is great. Great location and tons of land for kids to adventure in, not to mention the fish pond. Clean and newly renovated with tons of great character. I will be going back!

Beautiful and comfortable!

This house is such a sweet surprise! The pictures do not do it justice. The house seems to go on forever with plenty of comfy beds spread through the rooms. The yard is fabulous! The natural border combined with the front fence makes this yard serene and private. Everything you need is at your disposal, the kitchen is fully stocked as well as linens provided. We would love to see the yard in the spring or summer and will look forward to returning. Thank you for allowing us to bring our dogs and for the nice surprise toys you had there for them when we arrived as well as the sweet surprises for us. Your pride in your home and it's contents is obvious and we wish we could have stayed longer. The furnishings from the couches/beds, linens, books, and art are all well appointed and unique. Thank you again for accommodating an early check in time for us. We hope to come back soon!

A fundamentally filthy home, with leaking appliances and poor management

We stayed at this house in September 2021, at the end of the high season in Cape Cod. When we arrived to find the house reeking of pets, the couches stained and heavy with grime, the house laden with moths and spiders, the management company admitted that their cleaners do light cleanings between tenants. There was mold growing on the ceiling of the kitchen. Other problems included a severely leaking dishwasher and torn deck chairs. Management refused to relocate us, and offered a 10% refund on our stay. It was uninhabitable. The grounds are quite nice if you can get past the grime.

Beautiful Home with Amazing Yard on Very Busy Road

The house was beautiful and spacious and ground were so beautiful and peaceful. The home has literally everything you could need for a week at the beach. The only downside and star removal was due to how very busy the road was with no sidewalks. Cars fly down millstone road and to access the bike trail you have to walk up the block, with the small kids in tow and a blind curve, it made it very dangerous. Aside from that, everything was great!!

BOY, OH, KOI - SUCH A UNIQUE GATHERING PLACE

We came to the House on Koi Pond after a month of loss and unfortunate circumstances. It was a lovely property for our family to just be and regroup and recoup. We enjoyed the koi pond. We enjoyed the maze of a house with all its fun rooms, and stairs, and details. We enjoyed that our dog enjoyed it immensely. The toys and treats for the dog was a nice touch. We biked to a beach house near JT's Restaurant that our relatives were staying at during the same week . How fun that the bike path is so close to be able to access all the wonderful trails in Brewster and Cape Cod. We literally went back and forth ever day. Overall, we enjoyed this property and all its uniqueness. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a great location in Brewster. We had everything we needed.

Great Location

Stayed at Loocie's house for our family vacation on 7/27/19. It was great for the family and our dog. The cap cod rail trail is only minutes away. The Brewster beaches are close as well. The yard is great for sitting outside on the deck. The enclosed porch was great for our family. The lower floor bedrooms suited our family's needs. The upper floor bedroom is for pre-teens as the roof is low and does not have standing room for an adult. The koi pond was enjoyable as well. Thanks Loocie for a great house. We will consider this house for future family vacations!

We absolutely loved the property! Beautiful backyard that was perfect for dinners and coffee outside. The owners were so easy to deal with and accommodating. Hope to stay at Koi Pond again!

Lovely 3 bedroom rental

I called my review a "3 bedroom" rental because although advertised as a 4 bedroom, it actually is only a 3 bedroom. The 4th "bedroom" is in the attic and only suitable for a preteen. This is a very important distinction since we were caught with one less bedroom than expected and one couple stayed for a shorter period of time (one night rather than 2) when another family couple arrived. The other 3 bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.This rental is on a busy street making it difficult to dog walk. That being said, the back yard is large and the property is easily accessible to Cobie's and the bike trail. It is fully supplied (toys, soaps, paper towels, beach chairs etc.) and very clean. We notified the rental agent that the kitchen faucet was broken but still usable as soon as we arrived therefore assuming that they were aware when cleaning from the previous rentors. However, they provided a tool for us to fix it rather than sending someone to fix it. We did not know how to and didn't want to tinker with the faucet, thus it remained difficult to use during our entire stay. I had rented this place because of all the 27 or so positive reviews but would chose someplace else to go if we return to the Cape. Please be aware that we saw an injured coyote who crossed the backyard so small animals and children need to be supervised.

Week in Brewster

Great location! Very comfy home for the whole family. We loved the yard for playing soccer, wiffle ball, etc. Lorrie is such a kind and responsive owner, a pleasure to deal with.

Great location of a charming Cape home near Cobies

The house felt like Home. It was charmingly decorated and full of reading books. The kitchen was very well equipped; one improvement would be to include a set of steak knives. Also, the tv cable service was very basic. Not usually a problem but when the weather doesn’t cooperate, there isn’t a wide choice of programming. The owners did provide a nice selection of dvd’s for viewing. For those who need dark bedrooms to sleep, be sure to bring eyeshades. There are 3 small windows high on the master bedroom wall that allow early morning light to shine in. But the MBR mattress was very comfortable. The outdoor patio with umbrella table and chairs was wonderful - many fun hours spent there, also playing in the great yard and watching the fish in the koi pond. The kids loved being tasked to feed the fish twice a day. We appreciated the beach chairs, cooler and umbrella. There is also a useful outdoor shower. A few beach toys like pails and shovels would make the beach more fun for kids. A boogie board or two would have been awesome. Liked having the option to use the screened-in porch but we didn’t need to spend time there because the weather was so lovely. One note: there were many small flies in the second bathroom and a few in the kitchen - not a big deal. One word of caution, the steps to the “secret room” upstairs were steep and narrow, and with the low, sloped ceiling, meant that bedroom could really be best used by only children. There were a few other places in the home where visitors were required to negotiate steps so be aware if steps are an issue for you. The exit to the road has somewhat limited sight lines so it really helps to have a second person looking for passenger-side traffic when pulling out. Maybe a mirror to show approaching cars would be helpful. Many times approaching cars from the left would stop to allow us to pull into traffic. The parking lot was extra large allowing for easy entrance and parking. Wonderful location near the rail trail and walking distance to Cobies, a great restaurant where we ate several times. There was very little road noise; appreciated being set back from the road and the quiet privacy. The managers are delightful and readily available to answer questions or solve on-site issues in person.

Perfect and peaceful

We absolutely loved our stay. Lorrie was so incredibly helpful from the moment we began the booking process all the way through to the end. Lorrie was gracious enough to allow us to host our small, intimate wedding on the property. The backyard makes you feel like you're completely secluded from civilization. It was perfect for what we wanted for our wedding. The koi pond, trees, flowers, shrubs, and all other plants makes you feel like you're surrounded by nature and nothing else. The house is close to rte 6 so you have easy access to any place on the Cape. Crosby Landing Beach was a great spot to swim and catch some amazing sunsets and it's a mile from the house. Thank you so much, Lorrie for allowing us to spend time in your beautiful home.

I loved my stay. The house was clean and perfectly located.The owners were very nice people.

The house on KOI POND was beautiful.The peaceful setting down to the bunny rabbits and chirping birds in the morning were surreal.This was the first time my 7 year old granddaughter had ever been to Cape Cod and she can't wait to return. My entire family ha d a great time and are looking forward to spending future vacations there.Thank you KOI POND for making our vacation one we will never forget. The Hellwege family.

Perfect

We had a great time at this property. The back yard was so quiet and peaceful to sit by the pond on the deck with morning coffee! The beach was so close and beautiful, the house was very comfortable that we felt right at home in. Our whole family had plenty of space and enjoyed the whole week! We will certainly book again at this property. Close to everything but private for relaxation!! Had all that we needed sheets,towels, beach gear, etc. Thank you for the great time that we will always remeber!

Perfect House and Location for great vacation

I stayed here recently with my family, which includes two younger boys, for a fantastic cape vacation! This house is beautifully renovated and spacious. Very clean and obvious pride in ownership. This house is fully stocked with any kitchen utensil need you may have, as well as a very large book and game collection. As well as a gorgeous, private backyard. This house was absolutely perfect for my family. We also loved the location of being in Brewster. Located in the middle of Cape Cod, it’s only about 30-40 minutes to pretty much anyway you’d like to visit. There are many beaches nearby. We choose to go to Crosby’s Landing, which was roughly a 3 minute drive to a very nice beach. And a major plus of being on the bay side of the Cape, the water is warm! My kids loved playing on the spacious beach with calm waves. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who is thinking of renting a house. And next time we plan on visiting the Cape again, we will for sure stay here!

An oasis on the Cape, comfortable and fully equipped for all our needs. Home away from home.

We came to the Cape for a sad occaison, the death of my Uncle who lived in Brewster for 35 years. The need to be together with my close family meant finding a house would be a better fit than a hotel. What a wonderfully comforting discovery to have also found a home! Plus i traveled with 2 standard poodles. Koi Pond had everything we could imagine. Even everything thought out for my pups. Each bedroom has amazingly comfortable beds and linen. The kitchen is fully equiped. We had a few hours to walk at Crosby beach that is conveniently located nearby, which provided my family with a lovely outing. A funny sidebar story. My nephew is a pro soccer player in need of daily training, and loved the backyard and even commented that the ice machine was the “best ever” as he used it to ice his knee after training ; ) Next time we return- and we will be returning for a happier occasion, we will find other uses for the ice! Can’t say enough about this home.

private oasis for R&R

We could not have selected a better suited property for our 40th anniversary weekend. The house is charming, colorful, welcoming and bigger than it looks!! The property is well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed some quiet time on the deck, just watching and listening to all t he birds. The property is just off 6 A in Brewster - easy access to Rte 6, 28, and anywhere else you want to go....20 minutes to Chatham, 30 to Hyannis, 45 to P-town. Great dining options nearby as well. Lorrie is a great hostess - attentive before and during our trip without being intrusive. The house is well equipped - if we had spent more time cooking, I think we would have found everything we needed. The bedrooms are separated enough in case you want to travel with another couple or family. Everywhere we looked, there was a unique personal touch - the twinkle lights on the beams, the kids books in the room with twin beds (including the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew and books for younger readers as well). The dormer bedroom which is up the hidden spiral staircase is acute little hideaway. The sun porch was a great place to enjoy coffee in the a.m. or a glass of wine in the evening. I would not hesitate to rent this property again. Thanks for your hospitality, Lorrie.

Peaceful retreat with easy access to the splendors of the cape

A weekend getaway with best friend and sainted dog and the place was more than I Could ask for. Rambling cape Cod architecture with eclectic and warm personal design choices everywhere and over an acre of garden and peaceful backyard. Close to the beaches of Brewster and Nickerson park and a short drive to all the fun in Orleans. House is warm and snug and comfy and fun, nothing uptight or rigid here! Well maintained and obviously loved, not just an investment property. A joy!

Great Venue for a Retreat

The House on Koi Pond was a great venue to hold my mosaic retreat. The house was large enough to house 6 of us comfortably and still have room for the workshop set-up. We originally planned to use the screened porch for our workspace, but because of the weather, we moved inside. We had the flexibility to do that! The house was extremely clean. The house manager was very responsive and answered all my questions. Location was great. It was close to several mosaic sites we visited in Orleans and Yarmouth. Plus plenty of good restaurants. Everyone was pleasantly surprised to receive House on Koi Pond mugs and tee shirts. A great extra. Overall, a great experience!

Cozy lovely home with all kinds of fun nooks

Well stocked with kitchen utensils and piles of towels, excellent cozy beds and beautiful bathrooms. Every inch of this house is gorgeous, and the owners are lovely. Great location. You can't ask for more.

Charming Property Near Beach

Two couples enjoyed this clean, comfortable house with large deck. More than ample bathrooms, but main bedroom only has a half bath. Everything you need is provided in good working order including beach chairs, umbrella and cooler on wheels! Great book selection in cozy reading nook. Besides the lovely fish, we saw lots of birds, rabbits and even a couple of coyotes in the expansive private yard. So great to have a porch, especially on a rainy day. Twenty minute walk to beach, but since we take a lot of gear, we chose the convenient five minute drive. Lastly, my tall husband said to mention that if you're over 6'5, you might need to duck in a few places under the original 1910 beams, although we don't know their exact height. We hope to be returning next year.

The perfect location

Once again we enjoyed a wonderful stay at the house on Koi pond. It is the perfect location for our active family and near to the rail trail,Nickerson state park and bay beaches. The house is always clean and welcoming and we always enjoy seeing our delightful host,Lorrie!

The house at Koi Pond was wonderful

This was actually a working trip for me as I was the planner for a wedding at ocean Edge Resort. The house was perfect, had everything we needed. The location was great and very convient to the resort and many great resteraunts. I would love to return in the peak of the summer to enjoy the beaches that are very close. This is a perfect house if you are attending an event at the resort. Truely a home away from home.
