Wonderful

We absolutely loved the house and location. The water didnt get hot more like room temp to slightly warm after letting it run for 10 mins, and the dryer not having heat just air. It was everything we wanted. It was very clean an comfortable. It is for sale. If this location is available wen we go on vacation again we would like to book again. We are now looking to move to palm coast in a few yrs.

Decent family home

The layout was great, and there was plenty of space for a big family dinner. The grill wasn’t the best, and everything seemed a bit worn out. Overall, it was a good stay, and the host was very friendly. The kids’ room had a lot of sleep space. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet.

Would not recommend

Host had poor communication, pool was cloudy with no filter running, finally fixed our last day. Outside tv would not work, and one toilet you had to turn the valve on and off to use because of a loud noise in the pipe. Floors were dirty, feet covered black if walking barefoot in the house.

Great location and clean home

Host was very accommodating with questions we had and house is very clean with room to spread out. The only reasons its not 5 stars the pool jetted area is a sitting area not a jacuzzi setup, we understood it was not a hot tub but did believe there was jetting. Also there was no propane for the grill (only discovered when I went to cook dinner so in the oven it went). Pool bathroom is offline and not usable and the pool light is out which the pool maintenence person knew about (also be prepared for a surprise visit from the pool person, caught us off guard as we were asked to vacate the pool for chemical treatment) not a huge deal we just ran and grabbed ice cream but a heads up would've been nice. All in all a good location and property with 5 star potential.

Misleading but still ok

Overall the house is a win. The listing is less than accurate and the pictures are outdated. Upon arrival the house seemed very clean but by the end of the second day the pet urine odor was coming through over whatever the cleaners used. Great layout, awesome space, good pool area. Pool needed to be cleaned and there was nothing there for which to give it a once over. Yard was overgrown, fence dilapidated, a lot of low spots so standing water was an issue. Thankfully we changed our minds before coming and left our dog home or that would have been a bigger issue. Outdoor shower was just a shower head stuck on the side of the house, pool area bathroom was out of order and not useable. Grill was filled with some kind of greasy mystery muck, burners rusted away, and filthy everywhere else so we didn’t even try using it. There were multiple other maintenance issues and damages that we gave the owner a heads up about as soon as we checked in so hopefully they’ll be addressed before long. Communication with Peter seemed great, until we needed the pet deposit refunded, something he’d assured me was able to be refunded prior to paying it. This had to be escalated to a couple levels of customer support with VRBO, who instructed him to process the refund about ten days ago, but we’ve yet to actually receive it. All in all it could be a great house, but was disappointing in the end, especially when we found the urine stains on the second king mattress that our kids had been sleeping on.

Very nice property. Dryer needs vent cleaning for proper drying. Patio concrete crumbling by table outside and dusting could be better but overall we enjoyed our stay

This is a large beautiful house with a good floor plan and lots of amenities. The tv is good, the appliances are upscale and everything inside is very clean. My only complaint is the pool area needs cleaning. When I texted to ask about a late check out I never got a reply

Christmas VRBO 2023

Easy communication with owners. Sadly it was cold and rainy our week so no swimming for us but the home is nicely appointed. They have various recreational games and toys so you don't have to bring yours. The neighborhood is great for walking and the neighbors are friendly. You get instructions on how, when and where to manage everything. No guess work. I gave a 3-star for cleanliness because the cleaners missed some areas they should be covering. Otherwise I believe maybe some additional instructions to the cleaners will turn it into a 5-star. Seating is ABUNDANT (23+...and that was just the kitchen, nook, dining room and patio excluding family room which could accommodate another 8 easy)! Access in and out was a breeze. The area is lovely. Our first trip to Palm Coast. Great short access to shopping as needed. Would definitely visit again.

Pros and Cons, but overall we have a great time

I believe in giving honest reviews. This house was fine, but there were definite pros and cons. Pros: super comfortable beds, perfect water temp in pool, great layout, great neighborhood, abundance of seating, fence was fine for our dog but might not be if you have a little dog cause there were gaps, lots of closets, master bathroom is fantastic, loved having a garage. Cons: filthy and unusable grill, outside bathroom out of order, outside TV not usable (we tried replacing the remote batteries and it still wouldn’t work), yard overgrown, lots of light switches that do nothing, no bathroom floor mats, hair in bathroom drawers, blinds in master bedroom are old and need replaced, bike tires needed air. The owner responded promptly if I asked a question, however there was no other communication. The house is for sale. We had a great stay, but I do believe the house needs some TLC.

Worked for us

Nice house with large space. Pool and outdoor area was enjoyable. Everything we needed was available. Beds were extremely comfortable. Very quiet location. However the towels provided for bathrooms were awful. Small and coarse!

Okay but Owner was rude.

The home itself was roomy and the beds were very comfortable. We had several small issues. Broken shower knob. Finding the right switches. Ice maker didn’t work. Pool light didn’t work. Carpet was pretty worn. Fence had come apart in 2 places. (We had a dog). The major issue was the pool. The pump was bad but they replaced it. The next day it went out again. I think they need to change the online listing. It says heated pool. I assumed it was heated all the time. That was not the case. I have Polymyalgia and was looking forward to the heat. That was the main reason we rented the house. The owner tended to get aggravated with me over it. I kept our text messages. He kept telling me it was a pool and NOT a hot tub! I have a hot tub at home so I do know the difference. His response was, “I don’t think you do”. I thought that was very rude. I really thought he would appreciate knowing what needed to be fixed. I know I would.

Great place to stay

A beautiful large house that has everything you need. I especially enjoyed the garage to park the car. Really nice finishs, granite, stainless and wood floors. Good TV. Already planning to return. The location is great for my daughter and I since my granddaughter lives about 2 miles from there.

What a fabulous place to go on vacation!

We found a beautiful, clean property that was perfect for our visit! The pictures don't do the property justice. The rooms are very good size and laid out, so you feel like everyone has ample space. The kitchen is very large as is the dining room and living room. It was great to have two rooms with king sized beds as well. The owner was very responsive and very easy to work with - we would highly recommend this property!

House and owner are awesome

We noticed an issue upon arrival but it was fixed immediately. Owner replied to us within seconds and addressed the issue right away. The entire rest of the stay was great. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. Could have fit another couple of people easily. Neighborhood is quiet and only a couple minutes from food and shopping. Short drive from both St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. Definitely recommend this home.

I found the property extremely clean and easy to find. We had pets with us and the fence was great. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The overall trip was wonderful 😇. I would definitely go back.

Upscale Home Away From Home

The first thing that strikes one about this property is the beautiful updates in the home! High end appliances and finishes increased the overall quality and comfort of our stay. We utilized the heated saltwater pool almost daily for hours on end! It was the perfect activity on a dreary day, and just as much fun in sunny weather. Thought was given to everything one might need whilst traveling with small children. Having the crib and high chair available in the home was such a convenience. There were even pool toys and beach toys to enjoy. We found the amenities quite accommodating! We hope to return next year for another relaxing stay! Welcome to Pally Beach Retreat, our home away from home in Palm Coast, Florida. Peter and I discovered Palm Coast several years ago when our entire family moved here! We started visiting in the Summer months and during the holidays and with each visit we fell in love with this undiscovered area of Florida. Our home is a short drive to St. Augustine (which is the oldest City in the entire United States) and known for its Spanish colonial architecture and sandy beaches. We are also only about an hour away from Walt Disney World and forty minutes from Daytona Beach. Along with our area guide you'll also find everything you need to know about our home. From air conditioning to the pool. You will find a bound copy of this guide in our home so you needn't print this out.

This home offers three bedrooms with two King Size Beds, and one bunk bed consisting of a full top and full bottom with a third pull out (twin size). We have the most comfortable mattresses you’ve ever slept on! The Master Bedroom has a private master bath with a lovely tile shower, large closets, view of the pool and a large cable television. Second bathroom is all tile with new shower - tub.

Central air conditioning with ceiling fans throughout.

There is also a Crib for those with small children. And Of course, we have a high chair handy too.

Large two car garage and spacious driveway.

Cable big screen televisions throughout and strong Wi Fi. Also a TV with cable on the lanai (we love sitting out their in the evenings!)

Close to the beach, around the corner from the biking trail and next to all the best golf courses. A short drive to the theme parks and St. Augustine!

Some of the other amenities include: a) dishware and glassware for eight people; b) board games; b) cards; c) large gas grill with plenty of propane; d) three bikes; e) pool toys and pool games; f) blender; g) hair dryers; h)Coolers; i) umbrellas; j) crock pot; k)Coffee Maker with reusable filter; l) toaster oven; m) microwave n) sharp knife set; o) brand new washer and dryer; p)beach chairs and more - fully loaded!

Note that pool is heated November through April.
