Woiworung Cottage är en charmig, tidig bosättningstuga (1860), dekorerad och möblerad för att matcha dess ålder. Den har en vedvärmare, elektriska värmare och ett fullt utrustat kök med spis. Dusch med höftbad, elektrisk filt till queen size-sängen och en TV och DVD gör en avkopplande vistelse. Gratis te, kaffe och mjölk och toalettartiklar ingår. Högst fyra personer kan bo på stugan i en drottning och två enkelsängar. Dina värdar bor på fastigheten i ett separat hus. Kom och se alpakka, husdjursfår och en husdjurstjur !. Vi kan garantera att du får en lugn natts sömn. Vänligen ta med egna linne och handdukar (bottenark, doona täcker och kuddfodral) Linne kan tillhandahållas för $ 20 per person per kort vistelse (upp till en vecka). Barn är välkomna. Stugan är kulturarv som är förtecknad av National Trust och håller på att bli arv som är listad av Heritage Council.

At Home in Country Victoria

We greatly enjoyed our stay and would love to return some time. The cottage has great charm and historical interest, as well as being comfortable and well equipped. The countryside and the animals and birds add to the beauty of the place. It is very well situated and ideal for visiting Woodend and other nearby towns. Catherine is an excellent host and responded swiftly to any enquiries that we had.

Cottage stay

Lovely old cottage, with so much character! We met with Carlos and Basil who was a highlight with our little ones.Only disappointment was it not having animals the children could interact with (sheep and alpacas were in distant paddocks).

Rest and relaxation

Just what we needed after a busy few weeks. Quiet, and beautifully furnished and decorated in the style of ‘yesteryear’. Ideal for reading, sleeping, chatting, board games and just taking ‘time out’.Beautiful location surrounded by pasture land, the occasional kangaroo in the distance and easy access to places in the region.We recommend the Three Little Pigs in Gisborne for brunch.(PS A new wooden spoon for the kitchen might be a good idea).

Rustic settlers cottage

Very rustic cottage in nice surrounds. Had a musty feel, with old relics and furniture. TV was very small and the volume button didn’t work. Air conditioner worked well. Bathroom was adequate. The mattress dipped in the middle. Enjoyed our stay. Ka

Adventure in the country

Oh, the peace and quiet of the country! What a peaceful and relaxing location, only minutes from town! There was a lovely fire lit for our arrival, the beds were comfortable and the alpacas adorable!

Touching History

This was a great way to experience how life was 160 years ago. Even though the house has had many changes over the years you can still see many original parts. Note these old farm houses never had proper foundations and were never straight plumb and level. This is an important part of our history - don't expect too much. The owners did their best to make the house comfortable without making it all new. We enjoyed our stay thank you

Homely and peaceful

We found this little cottage cosy and comfortable and was close to shops. This 1850 home is decorated with detail to suit the period, and it felt like we'd stepped back in time. With the low price and tranquil area, the cottage was a great choice for our stay.

Great little hideaway

A quaint little cottage (circa 1870s) in beautiful Gisborne. Very comfortable, and authentically olde world accommodation. Would happily stay there again.

Very sweet cottage

We had a productive weekend working in this old-world cottage in a quiet location. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, heater made the winter evenings cosy, and beds were very comfortable. Not recommended for active kids as there are lots of hanging breakables.

Unique experience

Wanted somewhere cosy whilst attending a first birthday. This place was absolutely as described but better. So much history everywhere U look. Particularly loved the sunny kitchen. Had the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. Hosts go above and beyond. Loved feeding the alpacas and getting doggo cuddles.

Review

Very quaint old style cottage with a good historical vibe. 3 35-45yr old men were very comfortable as we were only in area for a wedding. A little remote but that didn't bother us as we had transport, amenities are still within walking distance (30-40 min,but we're ex ADF so...) Hosts were very friendly & kept us topped with firewood. There is some local nature areas very close if you're into birding. Overall very comfortable for a nice price.

Great weekend away

overpriced for the amenities

Fridge did not have a freezer, therefore we had to throw out food. We paid extra for linen, there was a flanette sheet on the double bed on the hottest day of the year and in summer, there were not sheets in the 2nd bedroom. The TV was tiny. One of the bedroom doors didnt close. We killed 2 whitetailed spiders in the cottage. The carpets were stained. In the main bedroom the wardrobe didnot open - no where to hang up clothes, the elect power point was not working next to the verandah. Overall very disappointed, the place was way overpriced. The place was very clean and towells lovely, along with toiletries. The scenery was great, saw lots of kangaroos.

Musty and wonky cottage

The cottage smelled like it hadn’t been opened in months, a pile of dead flies fell out when I opened the back door. No bed linen is supplied but one of the beds in the twin room was made up and had clearly been slept in. Quaint in the worst way.
