Impressed by the personal touch and quick response by the owner or manager The house plan is lovely Although the kitchen is out dated a bit we cooked some great meals out of it. Fantastic Property in prime position. Close to everything. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the region. We stayed as two couples but certainly has room for double that. Super quite on 5 acres and very comfortable. Pool table is a great addition. Fireplace for survival in winter is great also! Kitchen is extremely well stocked with essentials as well. Will most certainly be back again!! Fantastic!

Fantastic Accomodation very comfortable wanted for nothing. Just a note for owner the back sliding glass door rollers are broken it costs less to repair than replace the hole door I own a window business I know what I am talking about

Very comfortable almost to the point that if you forgot to pack something it was there ... a home away from home. Grounds could tolerate a little TLC even tho it was winter. Highly recommended!

Our stay in Stanthorpe

Positives:Good well equipped kitchen, very well located on the edge of town on five acres, so plenty of room for kids etc. Large house with plenty of living space. Original 80s dĂ©cor, but all in good condition. Fire place, reverse cyclone air con in the main living area and in each of the bedrooms. Several bedrooms are locked off – normally would not be a problem but see below. Negatives:Very stingy supply of firewood. About twelve pieces and some kindling. We were there for 4 nights, and there was enough wood for about one day. (we were there in July). I have stayed at plenty of places around Stanthorpe, and a generous supply of firewood was provided in every single one, except this place. Two ply toilet paper. Seriously?During our stay, a smoke alarm in one of the locked off bedrooms developed a flat battery and started beeping every few seconds. Irritating. Changing out batteries once a year would prevent this problem.Leaking taps. It appeared that some of original eighties tap ware needed new washers. A simple maintenance job, but not a good fit with the “Be Waterwise” stickers in the bathrooms and kitchen.

Lovely stay in nice big conformable house

We love this house due to how spacious it is and in a quiet location slightly out of Stanthorpe. We have stayed a number of times and always feel like it is a home away from home.

Stanthorpe Weekend

Had a wonderful weekend , had a little family bday celebration for our 5 year old & the house has everything you could need, great gardens to explore & plenty of space inside the house ,and so clean! Fireplace & pool table was a treat for the adults & kids :)Thank you!

Long weekend retreat

Very comfortable stay. Perfect location for some privacy and downtime, while also being several minutes from the centre of town. The kids enjoyed running around the large, enclosed yard and watching the kangaroos laze around in the sun. The fireplace was perfect for the cooler evenings and kept the place warm overnight. We would definitely stay here again!

Good base for daily adventures

The house worked well as a base for day trips for mountain biking and hiking. Definitely appreciated the large bath to soak in. Quiet area, large house, well appointed. I look forward to staying there again in the future.

Birthday weekend getaway!

What a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing weekend away. The house and gardens are gorgeous. We took the advice of previous guests and watched the sunset from the rocks across the road, what a stunning view. We will definitely be back.

A great refresher

A very spacious, comfy and relaxing place to unwind. The fireplace is great. Beautiful having visits from wallabies, birds etc. The well equipped kitchen was greatly appreciated. Close to amenities but private.

Perfect getaway

It was a multigenerational trip for the school holidays with my mum, my kids and I. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed and then some. Except wifi. But that wasn’t a big deal for our two night stay. Nestled in rural settings but only 5 minutes if that to town made a perfect, private and secluded stay. Plenty of activities to do in the countryside through the days and a cozy fireplace to enjoy in the evenings. Board games and cards to entertain us for family time and the teens were wrapt with playing pool trying to beat mum and grandma. Highly recommend this property. If you stay here, don’t forget to look up at night because the stars and Milky Way are absolutely spectacular.

Family Getaway

Handy location a pleasant walk to downtown. Fireplace keeps the living area warm. Pool table a good focus for the family to gather around. Good base for bush walking the region.
