Perfect location for nearby wineries and a beautiful secluded house has all you would need. Breakfast provisions included and spacious and clean rooms.

Picturesque Views - Perfect Getaway

We love Hillside House, perfectly situated on top of the hill overlooking the vineyards. Stunning sunrise and sunsets. Walking distance to The Currant Shed & Shottesbrooke Winery. The house is clean, modern, spacious, has everything you need and was perfect for the 6 of us (3 couples) to enjoy an amazing few days of great wineries & delicious food in McLaren Vale & beyond.

Great stay

Everything was ready for us on arrival. We even received some nice local produce, supplies for breakfast and sparkling which we weren't expecting. Best stocked pantry, coffee machine of any property we've stayed. Spectacular views.

Amazing views

We loved our stay and hope to come back again sometime. The house was very comfortable and has the most amazing views of the hills and clouds rolling in over the mountains. The sunsets were stunning too. The house is very private and gets lovely cool breezes in the afternoon - very nice on a hot day. One of our favourite holiday houses!

Our 5th visit. Hillside is the perfect getaway. Private spot , surrounded by the vines. Lovely modern furnishings and all you’ll need is provided. Recommend the ‘Currant Shed’ for excellent lunch at the bottom of the drive. We’ll be back

Hillside House - the perfect McLaren Retreat

We stayed over the Christmas break to have room to host family and friends across the four days. Well equipped with all the kitchen essentials and the washer/dryer was a fab find. Spectacular views, comfortable furnishings and great location. Close to McLaren Flat, Willunga and McLaren Vale making it easy to find a coffee or groceries. Perhaps the biggest benefit is the location to The Currant Shed, spectacular lunches in a wonderful indoor/outdoor setting. We enjoyed a long lunch as an early wedding anniversary and throughly enjoyed every dish and drink. If you are looking for a comfortable base to explore the region, as well as relax in between exploration, choose Hillside House.

Paradise in McLaren Vale

Stayed here for 3 nights - not enough. NO winery in the area has the view Hillside offers! Clean and away from it all - absolute bliss. 15 min drive from the beach and on the doorstep to many wineries - it honestly doesn't get any better. Brilliant property!!

Beautiful scenic stay

Panoramic views of country side and vineyards Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Bedrooms are comfortable and contains drawers which are good for storage. Breakfast amenities from local supplies and a bottle of sparkling was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend to any family or group that want to have a nice quiet stay somewhere comfortable like hillside house Thankyou for having us.
