Fantastisk utsikt över Newport Beach !! Vår Beachside Retreat är bara fem minuters promenad genom en vacker Native Reserve den bästa stranden i världen. Inbäddat i en lugn del av Newport denna fantastiska fastighet lämpar sig för ren avkoppling och lugn. Njut av vår fredliga bit av paradiset !!Newport Lyx är oberoende logi inom en stor byggnad. Det finns inga gemensamma utrymmen. Rymmer upp till 5 personer med en option på en hopfällbar säng för den sjätte personen om det behövs. Två dubbelrum och ett enkelrum. Öppnar upp till en icke-delad utomhus grillplats och utomhus eldstad (endast dekorativ). En pool som är 11m x 7m med en soldränkta däck året runt. Denna plats har använts för många kommersiella fotograferingar och videoklipp. Vi står högt på en kulle med cirka 52 steg till din ankomst, så det är inte lämplig för personer med rörelsehinder. Uppfart och parkering på gatan tillgänglig.

Newport har enkel tillgång till fantastiska surf stränder, vattensporter, fiskeområden, båtliv, bushwalking och lysande restauranger, pubar och klubbar.
Newport är mindre än en timme bort från staden och en timme bort från flygplatsen. Kollektivtrafik är också tillgänglig.

Cleanliness

First Thoughts were wow!Then as we saw the pool was dirty and not looked after, we were pretty upset as the pool was the first picture to be advertised on Stayz. We didn't get to use the pool for the 4 days we were there and we had hot days. I have pictures if needed.

Amazing view but not overly clean

The view and deck of this property is spectacular. The pool is large but was quite dirty. The house itself has been split to you are occupying a portion while the owner lives in the other half however it does feel reasonably private. The entrance and top balcony are really only the points of overlap. The furniture, beds etc are quite worn but we found it reasonable given the price.

Weekend stay in Newport

Our stay was great. The house was exactly like the photos, very clean and nice. Would definitely come back. The host were quick to reply and were even kind enough to allow an early check in and later check out. 5 stars.

A beautiful stay

Our stay was stunning. The property was clean, in a great location, and had all the amenities we needed. The pool/balcony area is absolutely beautiful. I had another property cancel on me at the last minute and Taran’s communication was absolutely amazing, he did everything he could to ensure everything was ready in time for our trip, with consistent communication throughout. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a weekend away in Newport/Palm Beach! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Dirty and gross

The place was filthy. There was stains all over the bedding and sheets, which was gross. Also dust on all the surfaces, actual dirt on the floors particularly in the bathrooms and there were spiders everywhere. We had 3 huntsmen inside the property in kitcken and bedrooms. Kitcken chairs were dirty Parking extremely limited and stairs to access the area super steep

Huge Health & Safety Risk

We did not even stay, access to the property was dangerous, I slipped over on the smiley stairs getting down to the front door and would not allow my senior companions to even try them as it was too dangerous. Tried calling the Property Manager with no Answer. Tried to contact Book a Bach several times to ask for refund as we never set foot in the accommodation and no response. Had to find accommodation elsewhere at last minute. Really disappointing start to a special birthday weekend.

Fairly good, but could be better

As a guest of 7 who stayed for a week, the stay had met its expectations, although had a couple of flaws which could be easily improved. For its price, it was affordable and of great value. It had an excellent beachside view, pool area, and had an amazing relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by nature: It's great if you're looking to relax for a weekend. Being situated directly next to a reserve, it also meant it would be surrounded with bugs and spiders absolutely everywhere. You could physically see that there are spider webs every corner, and that could be cleaned up easily. With so many windows opened, we would have a couple of nights where if you weren't careful you could accidentally step on a hunstman spider. In that sense, this isn't recommended for those who have arachnophobia or squeamish about insects. Lighting wasn't an issue but it was clear that if you did not watch your step at night, you could very well slip, especially in such a steep, hillside area. This also means that if you do not have a vehicle, or have a physical disability, this place is not recommended at all. In terms of location, its pretty good in terms of distance to the beach and town. Only a few minutes walk from each. The weather was excellent in the time of November 2016, pretty much 25-30 celcius for the entire duration which was awesome for the beach. However it is probably assumed that it would be very cold for the winter, and not recommended, as heating and cooling services were lacking. The town, although quite small, was pretty sustainable, and has most things that you could ask for. Newport had excellent restaurants, although limited range of selections and a little expensive if you're on a budget. Again, this would be great if you're only staying for a weekend, but noticeable when you're staying for a week. This, alongside other issues, cannot be helped by the hosts, but should be noted for other potential guests. Another one was one of the neighbours who would complain about essentially anything regardless of what time it was. One of my friends had accidentally parked his car that had inconvenienced the neighbours, and was essentially verbally abused when apologizing and moving his car. Other issues that should be disclosed is the lack of technology or recreation. For instance I mean, the complete absence of WIFI/internet connection or a television, which as a personal opinion would say that it's a necessity for a property in 2016 onward. Natural Newport

The property was stunning positioned adjacent to a lovely strip of nature training the eye out to magnificent ocean views. We had a great stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking to experience a Northern Beaches getaway.

The Best Accomodation EVER! And an amazing Host!

An absolutely beautiful property in a stunning location. Enormous pool, outdoor firs, beautiful decor.. everything was perfect! The hosts were so lovely, they had thought of literally EVERYTHING.. from spare toothbrushes to coffee in the morning and pool toys for kids... your every need is catered for. Will definitely be back. We had THE BEST TIME!

Gorgeous property, and even in a lot of rain, lovely spaces to enjoy. Please be aware there are a lot of stairs down to the property, but well worth it when you get there.

An extremely disappointing experience

The experience at Taran’s Newport house was overall a huge disappointment from the very moment we stepped foot on the property. Firstly, the property manager did not provide us with the information to gain access to the house keys, so we were locked out of the house for about 45 minutes until Taran (the host) provided the access code. Taran was verbally abusive on the phone when we arrived and asked for the access code and about the pool cleanliness (see below). Despite his apology after the fact, nothing was done to rectify the damage done to our holiday. The level of cleanliness of the entire house (including inside and outside) was appalling. The patio furniture, including wooden planks and ornaments, were all covered in dust and cobwebs. The pool (which is a key reason why we chose this property) was not clean or well maintained - it had algae and was not swimmable on the day of arrival due to the pump ‘being broken’. Inside the house was no better. The kitchen, dining table, glass doors, and cutlery were not clean. We had to clean the entire kitchen, crockery and leather couch before using it. The master bedroom sheets were clearly used and hadn’t been changed - they were smelly and dirty, with white stains on them (see pictures attached). At 11pm on our first night we were changing the bed linen. The side tables in the bedroom were dusty, and the main bedroom bed side lamps did not work. The bathroom contained someone else’s toiletries including a used razor and toothbrush. It was very evident that the house had not been cleaned before our arrival according to platform standards or health regulations, and was merely a rushed ‘superficially tidy’. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place until it is thoroughly cleaned and even somewhat resembles it’s description online.

I booked my stay here for my wedding. It was HORRIBLE! Each of my bridesmaid who would arrive would get attacked by the neighbours asking why they were there and how long they were staying. The photographer for the wedding also got hassled. We were sitting outside just chatting (no music) at 8:30 pm we were yelled at by the neighbours to go inside as they had a long week. This was a horrible vibe for my wedding and was very disappointing and I never get to have all my friends together. As you walk up the stairs you and cleary there is a door that says don't open as someone else is living there. This house does not feel private at all. I live on the beaches and I know how expensive it is. But this is not worth your money. Do not book here if you want to relax.

Excellent Communication

We had booked this property for a photoshoot as it's such a beautiful place. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the shoot because of the heavy rains and both the property owner and managers were so incredibly thoughtful throughout the whole process. They gave me a ring in the morning with a weather update as it wasn't going to be nice for our models. We now have a new date planned next week and thank you so much again for your help and understanding throughout the whole process. Can't wait to book again and recommend you! :)

Private luxury getaway

The accomodation is in a stunningly beautiful location bordering a reserve with uninterrupted views of the ocean. The living area is sparklingly clean and very inviting.The elegant furnishings make the space very stylish. If anything the photos don't do it justice. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming. Nothing was a problem for them. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and luxury of the pool and large wrap around timber deck. The local tips helped us in choosing the best local restaurants and cafes during our stay. There were thoughtful touches all over the property with amazing amenities. The stay was excellent! Thank you Luisa and Taran, we will come back to you soon.

Nice location

We enjoyed staying in Avalon, although some constructive feedback for the owners: - The property is advertised as a house, however you actually only get access to / stay on one level of a three story house. Therefore, it doesn't feel as private as it could be (as there were people living upstairs) and the price didn't seem to reflect the property size / quality. - There is a lack of kitchen supplies for a group of 6 e.g. no serving platters, salad bowls etc for group meals - It is advertised to accommodate 6 people, although the 5th bed is a small single bed in a tiny room and I'm not sure where a 6th rollaway bed could even fit. The bed isn't great for an adult. - It's disappointing you couldn't use the outdoor fireplace, particularly when there is wood sitting next to it. If it's for decorative purposes only, I would recommend closing it up more. The communication with the property owner was good and the location is beautiful.

Perfect Location and Space

The accommodation is in a stunningly beautiful location with uninterrupted views of the ocean. Newport Luxury was great value for money. The accommodation and surroundings were reminiscent of a retreat. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming. Photos are very accurate although the property is more stunning in person. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very tastefully decorated Nothing was a problem for the hosts There were thoughtful touches left at the property Highly recommend a stay

Great for families and friends!

We spent a lot of time around the amazing pool as our toddler loved it and we could relax ourselves knowing he was safe and happy. It was also a great place to chill out with our friends once the toddler was in bed! Walking access to Newport beach was also a bonus. Only negative was it being a hassle to carry all our stuff up and down the steps to reach the property but we knew to expect this from the listing details.
