Mirrabook Cottage ligger 17 km väster om Coonabarabran township. Nära Coonabarabran och nära den majestätiska Warrumbungle National Park är vårt boende perfekt för par och familjer. A great base for Warrumbungles visit

Beautiful outlook, lovely accommodation and considerate hosts who went out of their way to ensure our stay went ahead after we were caught up and delayed in the mid north NSW flooding event. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped, all of which added to our stay. Enjoyed walks in the Warrumbungles and to the Sandstone caves and visit to Coonabarabran shops. Missed out on a formal Stargazing event but enjoyed the vista of stars from the cottage verandah instead. Thank you for a relaxing and memorable stay.

A great stay in a convenient location

The cottage is located in a quiet and peaceful location on the road between Coonabarabran and Warrumbungles National Park, so very close to all the major walks. The cottage is well appointed and cosy. Thanks Kelly and Wes, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Awesome!!!

We loved our stay at the cottage. A step.away from everything to enjoy nature and it's beauty. The house is very cosy, comfortable with everything we needed. The star gazing at night is like nothing else. Nice and close to the Warrumbungles walks and very close to an amazing lookout. We will definitely be back!

Ladies Road Trip

After a long day on the road, this Cottage was just what we needed. So peaceful and quiet with wildlife hopping by and some friendly cattle checking us out on the other side of the fence. Everything from crockery to super warm doonas and white fluffy towels - couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

Beautiful Property in a Perfect Location

Stayed for 4 nights with myself and three children 10 and under. Went stargazing, watched the kangaroos, did a campfire, cooked our own meal a few timesFinally got those kids away from the screens for an extended period and a wonderful time was had by all.The house itself is in great condition and was clean, tidy and well equipped. Well worth the stay!

Good location

The location of the property is very convenient for visiting Warrumbungle Park. There were some nice amenities available, such as a coffee machine and a selection of spices. However:- There was no mobile network coverage, and the internet did not work for most of our stay. This was very inconvenient and stressful, especially given the extreme weather conditions, which made it difficult for us to plan our trip accordingly. - The water is not treated or monitored for safety, but this was not mentioned in the advertisement. As a result, we did not have enough water for brushing our teeth or preparing food. - The outdoor area was somewhat messy and not particularly inviting. The setup was not ideal for enjoying the Milky Way and stargazing at night.

Mirrabook is paradise

My son had the opportunity to do his year 10 work experience at the Anglo Australian Telescope and we chose Mirrabook for its close proximity to the telescope. This was an immaculate cottage that met all our needs. Comfy beds, fully equiped kitchen with a coffee machine. There was even laundry facilities and bbq, fire pit outdoors which we didnt use this stay. I was able to work remotely thanks to the high speed internet connection while my son had the amazing opportunity to work at the telescope. It was bliss gazing out of window at the kangaroo's in the field and waking to the birdsong each mirning.We will definitely be returning for a holiday in the future. Thankyou Wes and Kelly for the opportunity to stay at your cottage in paradise

Fantastic cottage near the warrumbungles

We had a lovely 5-night stay in Kelly's cottage. The location was perfect for us, close to all the walks with great star gazing at night and kangaroo spotting. It was super quiet and peaceful. The cottage was very well set up with everything we needed, it was clean and modern. Would love to stay again.

Relaxing Girls Weekend with the Stars

We had a wonderful weekend staying at this lovely property. There were 5 mature aged women who spent a beautiful weekend enjoying everything this area has to offer. Mirrabrook gave us the pleasure of meeting the local kangaroos while sitting around the fire pit enjoying the last rays of sun. The accommodation was more than comfortable and we cooked a delicious baked dinner before we went out for a date with a zillion stars. The beds were realy comfy, the hoyse had everything (andmore) that we needed and our lovely hosts made us feel right at home. We definitely rate this 1zillion stars!!!

Stargazing

Mirrabook Cottage is situated in a very pretty and tranquil setting out of town from Coonabarrbran and close to the Worrumbungles. It was clean, comfortable, cosy and restful. While we didn’t cook, the cottage had everything you need to cook and stay put if you want to. We had a fantastic stargazing experience at Milroy and the stars are also beautiful form the cottage as well. Our hosts were there if we needed them but we were totally independent of their homestead and private. Highly recommended.

Superb Stargazing!

I was at Mirrabook for stargazing and astrophotography and the cottage and site were superb! All the amenities and comforts of home under the finest dark skies on the planet. It’s a stargazing retreat second to none. Highly recommended to any astronomy enthusiast looking to explore the great southern skies. I plan to return!

Perfect place

The cottage was perfect us (two retired couples). Everything we needed was there. The cottage was clean and comfortable and quiet. Nothing was lacking. I highly recommend the cottage as a great place to stay if you are visiting Coonabarabran and/or Warrunbungle National Park like us.

Walking holiday in the Warrumbungles

We wanted to explore the unique volcanic rocky outcrops and beautiful forests and bush land of the Warrumbungles. This cottage, just at the foothills in peaceful rural setting, was a perfect base and a cosy spot to return to after a day’s exploring. The owners are friendly and helpful. We originally planned to visit in 2021 but were thwarted by lockdowns. Kelly was wonderfully flexible and accommodating. A beautiful and unique spot.
