Scribbly stuga ligger i ett privat 5 hektar stort hörn av Sylvan Glen Country Estate, på en ås mellan golfbanan och en närliggande vingård. Huset på 320 kvm är omgivet av mogna trädgårdar och infödda Scribbly gummiträd och har genomtänkt utformats för att ge en hög kvalitet och minnesvärd fristående vistelse. Det är tillräckligt nära för Sylvan Glen att gå för en omgång golf eller kaffe men fungerar separat och båda är privata från varandra.

Det är den perfekta platsen för familjer upp till 20, golfgrupper, små konferenser, förnuftiga bockar och hönsgrupper och firande för upp till 20 gäster. Byn Penrose ligger 1 1/2 timme från antingen Sydney eller Canberra, 10 minuter från Hume-motorvägen och en 30 minuters vacker bilresa till Bowral via Bundanoon och Moss Vale.

Lovely Property and Host

This was our second trip here and everything was as perfect as we remembered. The property is lovely, clean, has everything you could possibly need for a trip away with family and friends, including a very well stocked / equiped kitchen. So manly lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to spend time.. kids, adults and dogs all had a wonderful time. The host Matt is very friendly and responsive. We will be back again for sure.

Wonderful time

The accommodation was better than the pictures give it credit for. The surrounding golf course provided a lovely landscape for activités and of course golf. The facilities easily accounted for larger groups.

Amazing property!

I loved staying at the Scribbly Cottage, especially considering I was able to bring my doggo. Matt was very responsive and accommodating. We admittedly have a loud group and had to pipe down as we found out there was a wedding reception on the estate that got wind of our shenanigans. I felt it was dealt with correctly - just something to keep in mind when you're after a spot in the middle of nowhere to be as loud as you wish ;) The only thing we missed was a shared shower for the bunk bed room, but again - easy solve. Thanks Matt, we had a great time!

Great stay!

Host was very accommodating and responsive to all questions. Provided clear instructions on how to get to Penrose. The place was amazing, clean and spacious. We had a large group of children and adults who thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Close to Glow Worm Glen Walk. Would totally recommend this place to anyone.

Peaceful and relaxing

We chose Sylvan Glen Cosy Cottage for our annual extended family weekend away and had a fantastic time exploring the property and its surrounds. House was great and 'cosy'...! Outside firepit also a big hit, as was the golf course and table tennis. Pizza oven was well used and served (fortunately) as a second oven as we hadn't realised the BBQ did not have a hood to do our roasts! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - enough space and things to do for all ages, set amongst tranquil surrounds, ideal for large groups wanting to enjoy a country escape. Thanks Matt for answering all our questions and ensuring we were comfortable.

Beautiful property with an incredible host

Such a beautiful property with a fantastic host who was so responsive and helpful throughout the whole process, even with responding to a number of my questions in the lead up. A great place with lots of room and perfect for a get together. The only tricky thing was it was hard to get find but I think that was just because the gps took some people strange ways. Thanks again Matt for all your help. Highly recommend you and your properties at Sylvan Glen.

Family Gathering

This was the best place to stay. Close to Sydney, excellent roomy accommodation, with enough bathrooms to make everyone happy. The living areas made it possible to still have an enjoyable time regardless of the wet weather. The nearby golf course was a real plus for our family, as the serious golfers had a game and the rest of us had a pretend! The fire pit, bbq area and cubby house were fabulous! No need to leave t Sylvan Glen. But nearby Bundanoon, Exeter, and Berrima and Bowral had visits too! Great place ….we want to come back!

Fantastic property - One of the best for a large group

Would stay here again

I had originally booked this property last year before lockdown hit. Matt was very understanding and super accommodating when it came to re-booking. The property is in a beautiful location with great amenities, we especially loved the outdoor area. All the guests raved about the property - we were all very comfortable and there was enough space to all gather as a large group, or separate off into smaller groups. Would definitely recommend this place!

Big family getaway

Scribbly Cottage was a great house to stay in as a large group, plenty of rooms, each with ensuits, the kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the indoor and outdoor fire added to the whole experience. We had a great time staying here. Thank you

Family get-together

Thoroughly recommend this accommodation for all ages The owner has thought of everything to make your stay a great one. The home is set in a lovely location Love the big dining table which accommodated 20 people We had a fun filled time even though we were there when it was very wet it didnt matter. Great place and great host.

Seclusion at its finest

Property is extremely well maintained and nestled in it's own private area away from the hustle and bustle of the world. I cannot recommend staying here enough. Campfires, retro gaming items, modern cooking and plenty of space. Great communication with the property manager as well who was always a text away. You won't regret it!

Exceeded Expectations

This house and host are amazing! I hosted my 30th birthday and booked this place for myself and 12 friends for 3 nights and had an amazing time. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils to support entertaining big groups and all the extra activities that the property supported had all the equipment necessary to participate. Matt was so friendly and really helped make my event special! Would recommend to anyone and would defiantly stay again :)

Secluded wonderland

Scribbly cottage is a beautiful property. Travelling through the bush, you come to a well kept property with generous proportions and great outdoor areas. The breakout spaces allowed us to enjoy private time but still remain connected to everybody else in the house. Matt was very easy to get in touch with and approachable. We hope to book and stay at the property again.

Wonderful

Scribbly Cottage and it’s surrounds are beautiful. We had an extended family getaway where adults, teenagers, kids and dogs all had a wonderful time. Matt and co were very helpful. We’d highly recommend it!
