A house with everything

A house to meet the needs from a small child to an adult looking to soak in a hot tub. The house was well stocked and we needed nothing more for a group of 12.

Roll for Initiative

A group of my friends and I rented this place for a D&D weekend and it was perfect. The beds were all memory foam and everyone kept commenting on how they had the best sleep in their lives on these beds. The hot tub and fire table were awesome after an especially long gaming session and the location was amazing. About the only complaint we had was the people renting the house next door to us who though it was appropriate to shout the F word every 60 seconds for about 2 hours starting about 11pm as they sat on their patio. Kinda ruined a few of us from enjoying the hot tub and patio. I would suggest that the owners fix the lighting in the house. One wall in the living room had 5 light switches on it but only one did anything. Some of the lights were completely different temperatures (cool white and soft white) which really messes with your eyes. Also even with all the lights in the living room on the bulbs put out so little light it was always dark in the living room. Most importantly the 2 times we used the stove the house filled with the strong smell of gas to the point we had to open the windows. I did not see any carbon monoxide detectors near the stove or fireplace which I thought were legally required. Otherwise we had a fantastic time and the house served us perfectly.

The home was clean and comfortable. Easy to access. Baytown is a central point if you plan to access the city and spend time at the beach.

A new Goldie Locks

Almost everything was great, except the bed in the downstairs bedrooms. They were a whole new telling of Goldie Locks, one room’s bed were too hard, another bedroom’s bed were like a bowl, and the last room’s beds were just right. Also getting in touch with property manger was a nightmare. It took two days to finally get a hold of him (his voicemail was full).

First Impressions

This property could have been great. It was in a wonderful location with amazing views. Nice size and good amenities. Unfortunately a few things fell short. When we arrived the yard was poorly maintained and overrun with weeds. The house needs a paint job. Inside all the basics were clean like bathrooms and kitchen but areas had been neglected like window sills, head boards, ledges and baseboards. The lower basement level had a definite pet odor. The Owner was contacted and made an effort to send out a cleaning crew to help with an obvious pet stain, but unfortunately I feel this was only one of many areas that needed more attention. I feel with some attention to the basement and a reassessment of the cleaning crew and possibly an orientation booklet that includes information on access to the pool, golf course, what to do with excess trash, how to maintain the hot tub etc. this place would have been amazing.

Very nice spacious home.

Very nice home w/ lots of space. Master suite was extra deluxe and the hot tub was outstanding. The views from the house were beautiful as well. Stayed in a lot of these GR homes over the years. Some of them are more set up for two families to share, w/ more than one master type suite and a collection of beds and rooms downstairs for kids. This place is more set up for one large family. Although one of the downstairs rooms would work for a couple that had very young kids they wanted to keep in their room. Only minor concerns were that it could use a little more ski storage (preferably a lockable outdoor closet), and while the pictures show a garage, it’s locked, and you’re not allowed to use it. BTW- Kitchen was very well stocked and had more dishes than you could ever use. No problem at all the nights we cooked there. Highly recommend. Nice place!

Perfect Family Getaway

Our stay at this property was absolutely wonderful! The home was welcoming, beautiful, and spacious! We had 8 adults with plenty of extra room. There was an abundance of seating accomodations indoor and outdoor. Perfect location between Winter Park and Grand Lake. We would highly recommend this home and look forward to returning soon!
