Honeymoon rental

We stayed at this property for our honeymoon and had an amazing view! By far the best feature of the house was the several patios/outdoor areas and the gorgeous view! We also enjoyed the kayaks that we could use everyday. We would warn that the drive to the property is quite curvy, we would try to leave for the day and come back to avoid driving this multiple times (seemed to be the norm for Lake Lure). When we came to the property the sinks and some counters had crumbs/dirt. There was disinfecting wipes so we could clean it ourselves, but feel this could of been handled beforehand. We would also mention that there is 1 tv in the house and it is in the basement area. The tv does have a DVD player, but no cable/smart tv (did not hurt the review, but would recommend to bring a fire stick or similar item to watch tv).

Very Relaxing and beautiful😍

We loved every minute of our weekend getaway. My only issue was how uncomfortable the bed was. The owner is very nice and responsive. I would definitely stay again.

Serene Secluded Sanctuary

This place is Spectacular! The view is Surreal! Its the perfect getaway for a family of 4 with your own pathway down to an adorable boathouse and private dock. Since posting my own photos on social media, I have had several people want this property's information! Get it rented while you can! It was immaculately clean and the owner was accessible and kind. We want to come back every year!

Fantastic place, but firm mattresses

We loved the cabin as it has amazing views and kayaks. Amenities were great. The only thing was that the mattresses were very firm and thin just as an FYI. Everything else was amazing.

Weekend Getaway

This place was clean, comfy, and just what we were looking for to enjoy a nice weekend away. We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks and my husband enjoyed fishing off the dock. We would definitely revisit this place in the future!

Cozy Cottage with amazing views

My wife and I were looking for a quiet and cozy lake retreat and this property delivered. The house was clean, easy to get to, and had everything we could need for a relaxing weekend. The house was rustic but also has modern amenities. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to see the best of Lake Lure.

Perfect Get-a-Way

My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much. Just minutes from Chimney Rock, we could not have asked for a better place to spend Valentine's weekend. We will definitely have to stay again!

Weekend getaway

The cottage was perfect for us to have a quick getaway weekend to Asheville with Grandma. She stayed in the upstairs room (didn't complain ONCE about the firm mattress that others did - so I really believe it's a preference issue) and we stayed on the futon downstairs with our teenagers on the bunk beds - it was perfect. It's hard to compete with teens' electronics but this cottage did it well - the adorable wood stove was perfect for nightly fires, the fun staircase was such a hit and the dock and lake views were stunning! We even had fun with the stocked board and card games! The lake was very low during our stay but that can't be helped.

Lake Lure over Xmas

Cabin was beautiful, clean and well organized. We took maximum advantage of all the decks and water activities. Only negative was the master bed was not very comfortable.
