Kom bort från motorvägen! Silver Willows "Ursa" -stuga är en av regionens nyaste hyrstugor, färdigställd hösten 2016.

Ursa, eller "The Bear", är systerhytten till Silver Gates högst utvärderade hyresfastighet, Sarva ("The Moose," VRBO # 316248). Denna stuga ligger i den östra ängen i en fyra tunnland stor markpaket, gränsad av tall- och aspträd i väster och norr, med Soda Butte Creek ett stenkast bort. Höga tallar säkerställer integritet mellan de två stugorna. Fastigheten ligger på södra sidan av Soda Butte Creek, så du kommer att vara borta från motorvägstrafiken som går genom staden.

Denna stuga sover bekvämt 4 (1 queen size-säng, 2 fulla sängar), med en extra höjd luftmadrass tillgänglig för en femte gäst. Observera att en femte gäst kommer att åberopa avgiften för extra personer på 30 USD per natt.

Silver Gate / Cooke City-området är populärt bland vargbevakare (Lamar Valley är en kort bilresa bort!) och parkbesökare som vill komma bort från liv och rörelse i de större gränsstäderna, samt vintersportentusiaster som kommer att dra nytta av rekreationsmöjligheterna i Beartooth-bergen.

Silver Willows-fastigheten ligger borta från motorvägen på 4 tunnland skogsmark som gränsar till Soda Butte Creek, som går genom fastigheten på väg till Yellowstone National Park. Denna stuga rymmer upp till 4 personer på en drottningssäng (i sovrummet) och 2 fulla sängar (på loftet), alla med madrasser med skumskum. Det är ett bra alternativ för mindre grupper och familjer, medan större grupper kanske vill överväga Sarva-stugan.

Eftersom fastigheten ligger söder om motorvägen, har snöskoter snabb åtkomst till Bannock Trail och kan rida direkt från fastigheten till slädeområdena med backsling där. 2016 har vi lagt till ytterligare parkeringsplatser för släpvagnar på fastigheten för dem som drar i släden.

Awesome place and secluded. Love that it is away from anything touristy and super close to the Yellowstone entrance. If you want to see bears and other wildlife up close this is the place to be. Looking forward to coming back in May

Ursa cabin made our family’s visit to Montana and Yellowstone extra memorable. Every detail at the cabin is thoughtful—from the fully equipped kitchen to the most comfortable beds to the heated bathroom. This is a truly special retreat and so close to Lamar Valley for early morning wildlife viewing. Would recommend without reservation.

The cabin exceeded expectations! The location makes for the perfect launching off point for Lamar Valley. Jenn & Max are amazing hosts! Our daughter had a medical emergency during our time in the area, and Jenn & Max were incredibly accommodating and helpful!! We will be back. Thank you!

Thoughtfully designed, comfortable and perfectly located for NW Yellowstone fishing and exploration. The cabin was fully appointed with everything one could need. Especially appreciated well appointed and stocked kitchen as Silver Gate restaurant offerings are thin. Much prefer Silver Gate vibe over that of busy touristy Gardiner. Check out the Beartooth Highway heading east and the national forest magic in addition to Yellowstone.

Our stay at this mountain cabin was an absolute dream, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the serenity of the location was profound. Tucked away amongst the towering trees, the cabin felt like a private, secret paradise with a few cabins just near enough to create the safe feeling of "neighbors just in case." The soft, melodic sound of the creek just steps from the porch was a constant, calming soundtrack to our entire trip. We spent hours on the deck, sipping coffee and simply listening to the water rush by, feeling any lingering stress melt away.Inside, the cabin was immaculately clean and incredibly cozy, with all the thoughtful touches you could want. We felt completely safe and secure the whole time. This is the perfect retreat for anyone looking to truly disconnect and find peace in nature.

Beautiful place. Very well stocked! Cabins nearby but it’s laid out so we didn’t see anyone! Mountain View’s are nice. Spent evenings on the porch (with sweatshirts). Loved it and hope to go back!

Cabin Near Yellowstone Entrance

This cabin was exceptionally clean and very well stocked. The kitchen was beautiful and equipped with newer, modern amenities. We brought coffee, extra toilet paper, paper plates, and other basics—but there was no need. The hosts had thoughtfully supplied everything we needed (aside from perishables).The living area had a comfortable new L-shaped sofa, and the bed was also very comfortable.A few things to note: the listing description could use an update. There were cabins on three sides, separated by a few trees. Due to overgrowth, we couldn’t see or access Soda Butte Creek from the cabin, which was a disappointment. It wasn’t clear which parts of the four acres were available to explore, as cabins seemed to occupy most of it. Out of respect for the privacy of neighboring guests, we didn’t wander far. It appeared that two neighboring cabins had creek access.That said, we would definitely stay here again. Silver Gate’s proximity to Yellowstone is unbeatable—we never waited more than two car lengths to enter the park. Most mornings we entered around 6 a.m. and drove straight in. Lamar Valley was quiet and peaceful at that hour.Also, don’t miss the Beartooth Scenic Drive—absolutely breathtaking!

It was an amazing 5 days at the Ursa Cabin and Yellowstone, and we were not ready to depart!! The cabin was so comfortable, quiet, beautiful, with all the comforts of home. The surrounding scenery was phenomenal, and the wildlife did not disappoint! We leave with several stories & highlights, and many pics and videos!!

Cozy cabin in great location

We stayed 5 days in September, the cabin is well appointed, comfortable and clean. The ladder to the loft could be an issue for some but I don't know how it could be laid out any better. A great home base for exploring Yellowstone. We were not able to find a trail to the creek, it was overgrown/could use a weed wacking. Not a big deal since the weather was not ideal for outside sitting. We did enjoy the front porch when we could and loved seeing the lone bison come by. There are neighbors but we did not see or hear anyone. The other cabin on the property is near but there are trees in between, so no issues with privacy. I would recommend this property to others.

Lovely cabin in the woods

I spent 4 nights in this house a short drive down a gravel road from the highway. There are several adjacent properties but all are partly screened by trees and it is a quiet neighbourhood. The inside of the property has comfortable and good quality furnishings' and appliances and is very clean. It is about a mile from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park, and this is one of the quiet entrances so no waiting in line!. I greatly enjoyed my stay here and I would happily book this property again.

Beautiful view

A really nice place. Not as secluded as it looks in the pictures, but it’s a small little town and everything is just kinda all together. The cabin is really nice and homey and has everything you could need for cooking . And you will want to cook because there isn’t much as far as restaurants go. But it’s by far the most beautiful entrance to Yellowstone.

Beautiful home and great jump off point to beartooth highway

The home is clean and welcoming. We very much enjoyed the full kitchen and made sure we stocked up on groceries in Bozeman which was great advice. We wish that the place was more private and easier access to the Soda Butte creek, but certainly peaceful spot.

Great Property and Surroundings!

This property is on my top 10 of VRBO rentals (and I rented many vacation homes in MT over last 20 years)! Despite the close proximity to the highway running through town, you barely hear the vehicle traffic noise. The access to and wading accessibility on Soda Butte Creek is great--reason for my stay here and this area (FISHING!). The cabin was top-notch (and larger than anticipated from the pictures). Very modern, yet great "rustic" feel. Love the covered porch facing the treed meadow and creek (wished it was a little more cleared of the trees to be able to see the creek and mountains more--but still very relaxing space). Impressed with the owners' prompt responsiveness to questions prior to arrival and their "welcome call" night of arrival. My only comment, and it is a suggestion and not complaint, is that the ladder up to the loft is a bit unnerving. It is at a very steep angle so easy to climb up but getting back on ladder and down was a careful challenge. It may not be so bad if the ladder was pulled out more at bottom to give more of an angle like a staircase... One final comment which is a minor complaint (and suggestion): replace the charcoal grill. In sum, rent this property. I did a lot of research for lodging in Silvergate and Cooke city area and saw the other properties/lodging properties once I got there. This is a must rent--far exceeds other options.

Perfect getaway

Even better than anticipated

Pictures show a very nice cabin, but it was even bigger and nicer than I expected. The kitchen was very well appointed, had everything we needed. The owners did not skimp on any amenities, and in fact, supplied the unexpected (shampoo, shower gel). Super clean (thank you, Jessie), super nice, and super owners (easy communication). We really enjoyed the well-stocked movies, books, games, and Max's amazing photography. We had need of nothing. My children didn't want to leave. Beautiful property. My favorite was watching wildlife from the porch. Soda Butte Creek was only about 40 ft from the porch. It runs too fast (early June) to fish, but I would expect good fishing later in the summer. A lone bison grazed every morning next door (we referred to him as Barry). I was really bummed that we never saw a moose in the park, but on our return to the cabin the last night, there was one in the yard! Happy danced again the next morning as we were packing up because we saw a mama moose and her calf across the creek. We would definitely stay here again, and I'm already recommending it to everyone I know😊

This property is amazing!

Stop your search! If this property is available, book it now. We were thrilled with the location (just a few minutes outside the Yellowstone n/e entrance) and privacy during our stay. We have stayed in many rental properties and this one rates right at the top, based on location, layout and amenities. We loved the beautiful pinewood interior, spacious cooks kitchen with island, spacious livingroom with vaulted ceilings and comfy seating. The queen bed had nice bear flannel sheets and was very very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, with a step in tub shower. The water pressure was great for showers and as hot as you need it. The full sized stackable front loader washer and dryer are also in this space behind doors. The wi-fi was fast and we were able to keep in touch with our family at home. Cell phone calls don't work up here but there is a land-line that can be used if necessary. In fact, one of the owners called to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The owners (Max and Jenn) take pride in this property and communication is great! We drove into the park several times through the Lamar Valley, which is rich in wildlife viewing and very few tourists in the Fall. We saw many bison, elk, fox and pronghorn on our hikes near the Tower/Roosevelt area. Hell Roaring trail was great! There is also a "secret" trail up the road from this rental, which was an absolutely serene, beautiful hike into the park. Loved it all!

We had a wonderful time at Ursa. Max and Jenn are great hosts and it’s so nice that Max calls you the first night of your check in just to make sure everything is ok. It’s a beautiful cabin very well equipped and very comfortable. We actually just spent two days at the creek because we were tired of driving. We really enjoyed the little doe that was living under the porch to stay cool, it’s a great cabin!

Wonderful Stay

I could go into great detail but to sum it up, this is easily the best host and one of the rare as advertised VRBO rentals we have ever stayed at. Max goes well above and beyond expectations to make sure you know what you are getting into, what you need, best airport to fly into, routes to take etc etc etc. He communicated with us early and often and seemed to genuinely care that we were prepared so we could have the best stay possible. Silver Gate and Cook City are amazing little communities with surprisingly good eateries. There is a trailhead at the end of the gravel road the property is on. Our best day there we never got in the car. We hit the foot trail that took us into the park for several miles and came out at warm creek about a mile from Silver Gate. That was an amazing journey. We would absolutely recommend this property or the one Max has next door.

Perfect Cabin in Perfect Location

We have stayed at many VRBO homes in the past and this one does not follow the trend of not living up to the photos. This cabin actually was way better than the photos and descriptions would show. The owners go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need. The appliances and mattresses were top quality (in fact my husband regrets not trying to find out the brand of mattress because he slept so well). We loved the gas fireplace and tankless hot water heater. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and was even stocked coffee, tea, condiments, etc. I chose the cabin mainly because of the location, which did not disappoint either. We enjoyed coffee on the porch, watching Soda Butte Creek and walking down to the water. One morning a moose and calf were wading by. The towns of Silver Gate and Cooke City were perfect quaint mountain towns to explore. We enjoyed the small businesses and restaurants there, as well as the constantly dominant mountain views. The proximity to the NE Entrance of Yellowstone NP was the real value. It’s our favorite part of the park to visit. We hiked several trails and saw a lot of wildlife (bears, goats, eagles, elk, wolves, etc.). We hated to leave this cabin and location. It was one of the best accommodations and locations we’ve had the pleasure of visiting.

Jenn and Max are based in Seattle, but were annual visitors to Yellowstone for many years before choosing to build a cabin near the park. Max's work as a nature photographer drew him to the natural wonders of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and the cabin was "a really good excuse to visit more often."

Varför värden valde detta boende

We were very fortunate to find a property that was so close to the park, is filled with trees, has mountain views and even has Soda Butte Creek running through it on the way to the park. It really felt like being in Yellowstone despite technically being outside the park boundary. Seeing moose grazing in our willows or spying one of the town foxes hunting in the meadow really makes us feel at home in nature. Even when we're tucked inside, we're constantly peeking out the window to see if any of our wild neighbors have come by to say hello.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We're excited to offer this new second cabin as an option for smaller families and groups. The cabin is in a great spot. Positioned on the opposite side of the creek from the highway, our guests are able to enjoy a fair bit of peace and quiet. There's also a stand of trees in between the two cabins, so concurrent groups can maintain privacy. During winter, visitors can ski out from the cabin, or ride their snowmobiles onto the Bannock Trail up to Cooke City and the backcountry. With so much of the property growing wild, we love going for peaceful walks along the creek, brushing past the moose's favorite willows and walking beneath the pine trees as woodpeckers tap away and squirrels gather food.
