Vacation gone wrong

Pros: close to beach and shopping. Hotel staff very nice. Beach umbrella very useful. Cons: Arrived to less than clean accommodations, I cleaned a dirty refrigerator, tub that had left over hair, bathroom rug was dirty which they ended up replacing. Also had to clean up something sticky on the floor near the beds. The microwave was peeling inside. Linens, towels, and dinnerware were dated. We had no working television for 5 days until that was replaced. By day 6 we ended up leaving and finding other accommodations after finding a bug crawling on the headboard. I’m very sad to say this was our first experience with VRBO and will be most likely our last. We went off previous reviews so I’m honestly surprised. I spoke with a lady from the property management who was very nice but never spoke directly to the owner. I took pictures but decided not to share. Very underwhelming experience for our vacation.

Some what close to the beach and shopping malls all in all a good location because there is a lot to see along the way to where ever you want to go’ very convenient no complaints except for the room could of been cleaned better (floor was dirty)’.

We found this Hotel was a nice place to stay. A bit of a walk to the beach through a nice park. Our room was fine for the two of us.

Great condo in a great location

We stayed as a family of 4. We enjoyed our stay greatly. It's on a beautiful property run by the Wyndham group. Pool was heated and our condo was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay.

Great hotel but our room facilities not good

The TV reception was terrible. Most of the channels were unavailable most of the time, and many froze up frequently. After a day or so of hoping it would improve, we sent a message to the host, but didn’t get a response for another day or so. We were not able to raise the matter with reception given that our room was a BnB and not part of the regular hotel, which was unfortunate. The security person, whom we were required to check in with, was excellent and helpful, but was not able to assist with this problem.When the host did respond he said that a maintenance person would come and fix the TV. By the time we left the accommodation, after four nights, he had not come.The hotel was lovely and the layout and size of our room were fine. But the furniture was not satisfactory. It looked old, and the chairs were like bar stools and very uncomfortable.The crockery was very limited and substandard, and no two items were the same.The balcony sliding door was extremely difficult to open and close. There’s a high risk that a guest could hurt their back trying to do so.

Great Studio, close to everything.

It was a nice little studio with full stove. There is a little veranda that had a nice view. It is priced cheap compared to similar properties, nice and warm swimming pool with sauna in the property.

Would stay here again

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was absolutely no street parking to be found, so have to do the $50/day valet parking, but the hotel employees were all very friendly. The street was a little sketchy but not too bad and it was in walking distance to a nice beach and lots of shopping.

Great Neighborhood, Clean Building

It's a pleasant walk to the beach - two city blocks and then a pretty park with lots of birds. We were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet.

Nice place not over impressed

First time to Hawaii with my husband and small kids, 8 and 5. Property was nice but only has bare minimum. It was clean, but somewhat dated. There were pots, pans, cups silverware. A tiny stove and oven, which met our needs, a microwave and coffee pot. There were four clean towels, and washcloths, boogy boards and beach chairs on the balcony. There was also a broom and dustpan. Laundry is not in the unit, I was told it was downstairs for use. I was slightly disappointed at the lack of consumable supplies such as bathroom soap and garbage bags. There was a tiny thing of dish soap with a sponge that looked like it was cut in quarters. The beds were also only fulls or double size, so difficult to sleep two adults. Pool for the facility was heated, which the kids liked, so they got to swim after dark. Location was not bad. You were a seven to ten minute walk to any of the main attractions and beaches. I walked to Target, which was a mile away, to get essentials and breakfast items and Ubered back. It’s right on the canal which made for a pretty view. We walked to the canal in the morning to see sunrise. This was my first time using VRBO, so I was a little surprised on the fees that were added on. Even though nightly fees made this place seem like a more affordable option, the fees at the end doubled the price. For an extra $100 I could have booked a Hilton or Marriott with daily room service. Biggest positive here was the full kitchen to save on meals.

Descent place.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 boys. Place is close to the airport and good location. Clean and spacious enough for a small family. Good view from the balcony. Had little trouble using kitchen as not enough utensils like spoons/forks. Overall it’s a good place to spend few days .

Great location with a great city view!

Been coming to Honolulu often and this was one of my favorite places we have stayed at. The unit is spacious with lot amenities. We made use of the kitchen and table of yet, which from the table you have a beautiful view and feel nice Hawaii air breeze through with faint sounds of the waves, kids playing, people laughing and the city in general. Definitely recommend.

Great place to stay in Waikiki

Overall this condo was a great place to stay in Waikiki and in Oahu in general. It had great views of the city and the ocean. It was very close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. It was walking distance to everything which was really great. One can stay here during their whole stay without needing to rent a car. The room was very clean and was furnished with pretty much everything that we need. The kitchen which was equipped with a stove, cooking utensils, sink, and fridge was a big money saver as we are able to cook breakfast everyday. The owner also provided us with boards and chairs to bring to the beach which was an added bonus. I want to give my review five starts but I have to deduct one star as we suffered bites from bed bugs during our stay. Luckily, Royal Garden has a free laundry facility so we were able to wash the sheets. I hope the owner addresses this issue for the next tenants of this lovely condo. The pillows were also turning yellow so I would also recommend to the owner to replace these. But other than these, I highly recommend this place as a great place to stay in Waikiki.

You don't even need a car when you stay here unless you want to go for more sightseeing! Being on the far western end of Waikiki makes it great for walking to the beach, shopping, dining and fun activities in just a matter of minutes!
