Great overall experience. We did find stains on the couch and the check-in process with Wyndham was lengthy for wanting a quick in & out experience. Usually like contact less check in. But satisfactory experience overall!

Sound attenuation between units is TERRIBLE! Other than that, it was the perfect place. It would be a good investment and you have the space to beef up the sound barriers between the units.

I have stayed at Wyndham Long wharf, many times because of its location and the consistency of its cleanliness, numerous amenities and comfortability of the space. The staff is always pleasant and and I look forward to staying in such a comfortable surroundings

Perfect location, easy walk to Bowens and upper Thames, but quiet and tucked away. Room was clean and staff are accommodating. Our rental included parking for 1 car, but overnight street parking was free. Giovanna was very helpful and check in. Great stay!

Check in was over focused on selling us on time share rather than focused on getting us settled in our room after a long day of travel. The room itself (240) was not clean. Stains on a towel in the bathroom as well as hair in the shower. The furnishings in the room had seen better days as well and not comfortable. The pool and hot tub we nice, but the temp of the hot tub was extremely hot. Staff was not very courteous. Overall it was not an experience that left us wanting to stay here again.

Had a great time at this facility, and will try to be back there whenever we go to Newport. It had everything we wanted in a modern facility with amenities. Location: The property is located right across the street from Newport Shipyard. On the other side is the Newport Transportation Center, with a free on/off trolley around town to help you get a feel for the town, as well as transport to PVD, etc. It is less than .5 mile to Brick Alley area and Thames Street is walkable from it. Amenities: Free parking for one car is really nice. Baggage carts to haul your stuff to your room. Good elevators. A small movie theatre showing three movies a day! Pool, hot tub, lots of grills outside. Good elevator access. Fitness room on 2nd floor isn't huge but has the basics. We had a nice laundry room down the hall on 3rd floor, which was easy to use.Room: We were in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit, which turned out to be the accessible room. As a result the king bed bathroom was huge, with a walk in shower. Living room in the middle, with one bedroom either side. Before I got there I didn't exactly know what the kitchen would have, but having 2 generations there, I was very pleased. Real coffee maker (no pods) so you can BYO favorite grounds if you want, and they provided filters and packets of coffee. Blender, a few pots and pans, 8 sets of dishes, cutlery, lots of glasses, full size oven/stove/refrigerator! In short, you can't go wrong with staying here!

Wonderful place to stay! Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Very nice unit with ample space for 6 people. Very reasonable rate. Our only dismay was the one-car limit on parking passes. When you have a unit that will accommodate 3 couples, and the 3 couples are coming from different states, it would be nice to offer all of them on-site parking. As it turns out, there was parking nearby, but it added additional cost to the stay.

My family of 6 stayed here: 2 adults, 4 children from ages 2 years to 6 years. Our apartment had a lower (2 twin beds and 1 bathroom) and upper (1 king bed, kitchen, lvr, dr) floor. We were not provided a portable crib or safety gates (for stairs) in our apartment. We did not call to request any because we decided to make it work without these items. I wonder if they would've had these items available had we requested them. We also did not have a standing stool for smaller children to use to reach the sink taps. The pools at the hotel are each 3 to 5ft deep - there is no wading pool for kids only and for kids who do not know how to swim. We ended up not risking it to use the pools with our kids. The location is in very close proximity to the center of attractions.

Newport Wyndham Long Wharf

Wonderful stay! Very clean and comfortable. This resort is centrally located--a perfect location for a stay in Newport. My only critique is the parking. We booked a room for 6 people and were only allowed to park one vehicle with no options for additional cars. We had to scramble for parking as we were there for a family wedding and had 3 vehicles. Keep this in mind when booking this property. This was the reason for 4 overall stars.

Fun Birthday Weekend

Girls weekend for my 18-year old daughter to celebrate her birthday. Fun time enjoying the pool and spa, sky diving, delicious dinner and more. Newport never disappoints.

Timing is everything

Started off wonderful check in was smooth except for the parking. 2 bedroom Condo accommodates 6 adults but one parking space. Poor planning. Then there was a fire that knocked out the air conditioning with no alarm heard, no evacuation and no notice about the air conditioning not working. With temps in the 90’s leaving the windows closed was deadly. Then they offered window units but not enough for every room. Temp was over 85 degrees in our condo. Our 95 year old mother had to sit in front of an open window to be any kind of comfortable. We had a late check out but left very early as the condo was just to hot. My biggest concern is no fire alarm or Notification of the fire and lack of air conditioning.
