Had a great time at this facility, and will try to be back there whenever we go to Newport. It had everything we wanted in a modern facility with amenities. Location: The property is located right across the street from Newport Shipyard. On the other side is the Newport Transportation Center, with a free on/off trolley around town to help you get a feel for the town, as well as transport to PVD, etc. It is less than .5 mile to Brick Alley area and Thames Street is walkable from it. Amenities: Free parking for one car is really nice. Baggage carts to haul your stuff to your room. Good elevators. A small movie theatre showing three movies a day! Pool, hot tub, lots of grills outside. Good elevator access. Fitness room on 2nd floor isn't huge but has the basics. We had a nice laundry room down the hall on 3rd floor, which was easy to use.Room: We were in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit, which turned out to be the accessible room. As a result the king bed bathroom was huge, with a walk in shower. Living room in the middle, with one bedroom either side. Before I got there I didn't exactly know what the kitchen would have, but having 2 generations there, I was very pleased. Real coffee maker (no pods) so you can BYO favorite grounds if you want, and they provided filters and packets of coffee. Blender, a few pots and pans, 8 sets of dishes, cutlery, lots of glasses, full size oven/stove/refrigerator! In short, you can't go wrong with staying here!
