Great getaway

This house was amazing for a weekend getaway! It was nested away in the woods which was great for quiet and relaxation. We saw several fox, three moose, a few deer, and lots of birds on our property. The house was equipped with enough stuff needed, otherwise there is a store close by in FairPlay that has pretty much anything you need. Everything is in close driving distance as far as towns close by. As mentioned in the details of the house, four wheel drive is recommended. I did have communication with the renter with fast response time which was greatly appreciated.I highly recommend this house!

Great place to stay

Very well equipped with hi end kitchen dishes. Bed sheets and towels needs more attention. Be prepared to deal with high altitude. Cabin is located at 11070 above sea level. Hiking trails close by. Wildlife around. Overall great experience.

Spring Break Winter Storm

Beautiful property. The house itself is massive and well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, etc., but some of the pans are pretty rough. Fireplace did an awesome job warming the place up. The property is high in elevation. You WILL need the stated AWD or 4x4 vehicle if you don't want to get stuck. After a snow storm we had to shovel 2ft of snow from the downhill winding driveway to get out. No ladder or extending brush to help clear snow from car roof. 1 small shovel to do the driveway. Just be prepared to do some work if it snows. Property manager could have communicated more. We sent some messages that didn't get a response. When we called he seemed cold and bothered. If I could do 4.5 stars I would.

Need kitchen towels, decent skillets, and Big pictures windows was been very nice to have been cleaned I cleaned one just so we can see the gorgeous view.

Cabin

House is amazing beautiful views only problem was it is 4 miles on top of a mountain didn’t know this in a winter snow must have 4x4. Would love to stay here in the springs time or summer.

Great home base

Property was beautiful and a great central home base for our week exploring north and south of the area. Drive up the mountain side is a dirt road but an easy drive without snow. Look for elk and moose on your way up! We saw them early in the am and right before sunset each day. Town of Fairplay is small but has a decent grocery store, gas station, and a few casual places to eat. Breck and Frisco is a short drive north if you need more. Would highly recommend this vrbo and imagine it's so pretty with snow. Kitchen was well equipped and was nice to have a washer and dryer (dishwasher and laundry pods were there already). Only minor improvement would be hangers in the closets. There are no dressers and there were only a few hangers in each closet to store clothing.

Nice Cabin

The cabin was nice. The last mile of the road getting to it is a little rough but I've seen worse. Need a 4WD if it snowed most likely. The only problem was everyone battled altitude sickness. The cabin is about 11,000 feet up. All the stores sell oxygen canisters for $15/bottle which gives you about 260 hits. You need about 10 hits to recoup if you do much. Some of our crew sit up a couple nights in chairs to sleep. The furniture and beds were too low to the ground. The master bed(king) was below knee level. There were no box springs, just matress on the frame. The beds and the furniture are very low and hard to get in and out of. That and the low oxygen is my only complaint.

Beautiful Secluded Cabin

Beautiful and secluded. It was very clean and the location was perfect! Our family had a great time, playing games and enjoying the outdoors. The drive wasn’t that bad either!

Great Getaway

Fairly secluded location close to South Park/Fairplay. We've stayed in the area several times over the last few years and this is similar to other properties there. Sauna is a nice touch. Pretty rough roads getting into and out of the property though I've seen worse. Everything in great condition and no problems at all with property.

Review of Colorado Cabin Home

We absolutely Loved the property. Driving to the home was very rough, however, having a 4wheel drive vehicle did help. Highly recommend anyone staying at this property to have a 4wheel drive vehicle. The view of the mountains was breathtaking. Overall, Loved the property and would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank You for the opportunity to stay here.

Beautiful Colorado cabin

Great cabin with spectacular views. Everything was perfect inside and out plenty of space and beds for our party of 6. We had a problem with the coffee maker and it was replaced the same day. No complaints from anyone in our family!!!!

Perfect Getaway

This was the absolute perfect Christmas/babymoon getaway spot! House is fully stocked with anything you'd need, everything felt so cozy and comfortable, and the view is worth it all. I can't imagine NOT coming back here with our slightly bigger family next year! My only complaint is that the cleaning fee is rather high for having to take care of a lot of it yourself before checking out with only staying for 2 nights. Highly recommend this vacay home!

Noisy Construction Next Door

Overall, we enjoyed the house - it was perfect for 5 adults and 1 dog. A few things to note, though. We were not aware that there was a house under construction immediately next door, so we did experience noise from generators, hammering, etc., each day from 8 am until 5 pm, which was less than ideal for a quiet getaway. It would have been nice to have a humidifier for the bedrooms to alleviate some of the dryness from being at such high elevation. There also was a bug problem on the lower level - spiders and crickets.

Owner charged an outrageous late check out fee

The cabin was beautiful. However we were about an hour and a half late on checking out and the owner charged us an outtagous punitive fee! We hope this helps future people who book this cabin!
